The Dallas Cowboys were losing 30-17. It was 4th-and-5 from their own 44-yard line. A few minutes remained in the third quarter. Brian Schottenheimer chose to punt.
It is hard to pinpoint exactly when the Cowboys lost to the Denver Broncos on Sunday as they were outmatched in just about every way. An argument could be made that it was over the moment that officials flipped a coin in the air to establish who would receive the opening kickoff.
What we can pinpoint though is the point of no return that the Cowboys faced on the day. It was here....

In the biggest disappointment for Dallas this season, the Denver Broncos beat up the Cowboys 44-24 in what can only be described as a complete dud.
America’s Team headed into Mile High as underdogs, but a blowout was far from the expectations after an impressive win over the Washington Commanders in Week 7.
Alas, the Boys were clearly outmatched by a rugged and disciplined Broncos team. This was a match-up of two teams on opposite ends of the football spectrum.
In a blowout, finger-pointing is inevitable, but this was a group effort through and through. The offense and defense both...

The Broncos won the toss and wanted to start on offense. The Cowboys defense was up first.
It appeared early on as if Denver was well-reasoned in wanting the ball to start. Their first two plays went for solid gains and many were wondering what was up next.
Trikweze Bridges intercepted Bo Nix. That’s what was up next!
This was an incredible gift from Nix as it is difficult to understand what he was seeing, not to mention that it gave the Cowboys offense some great field position to start their first possession of the game.
After a big play...

The Cowboys will finally have a winning record if they beat the Broncos.

The Cowboys are fast approaching kickoff for their road trip with the Broncos, hoping to achieve their first win over this franchise in this century. It’ll be a challenge, though, especially since the amount of injuries on defense is about as high as the elevation here in Denver.
Trevon Diggs, who missed last week with a concussion, was added to the injured reserve on Saturday. Donovan Wilson was ruled out earlier in the week, creating another vacancy alongside Malik Hooker, who has been on the injured reserve for several weeks now. Hooker’s replacement, Juanyeh Thomas, is also inactive for the...

The Dallas Cowboys definitely called the Raiders and Bengals about Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson, respectively, according to FOX’s Jay Glazer on Sunday morning.
“Dallas is trying. They’ve actually called around. They called the Raiders for Maxx Crosby, was told no. They called the Bengals for Trey Hendrickson, was told no. They are calling around for help on defense.”
Reports swirled this past week that the Cowboys called about both Crosby and Hendrickson so this corroborates that. The NFL’s trade deadline is November 4th so there is still some time before then. Dallas actually plays their Week 9 game...

The Cowboys have not beaten the Broncos this century, losing their past seven matchups with this franchise. In fact, the last time Dallas won against this team was also the last time they won a Super Bowl. That trend, as well as the memory of what happened last time they played in Denver, has everyone feeling a bit nervous ahead of this game.
The Cowboys are looking to get above .500 for the first time this season, but the road trip to the high elevation of Denver against a strong Broncos team presents a daunting challenge. Can the Cowboys break...

The Dallas Cowboys head into Mile High Stadium today in a game that carries a mix of urgency, opportunity, and history.
The Cowboys, sitting at 3-3-1, have flashed brilliance on offense but inconsistency on defense, particularly after a wave of injuries in the secondary.
Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos have ridden the steady hand of QB Bo Nix and a stingy defense to a 5-2 start, becoming one of the AFC’s surprise contenders.
For Dallas, this matchup means more than just another midseason test, it’s a chance to exorcise some long-standing demons. The Cowboys haven’t beaten the Broncos since 1995 and...

The old question of “What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?” could not be better to describe the Dallas Cowboys week eight matchup versus the Denver Broncos.
Through seven weeks, the Cowboys offense ranks second in EPA/play, ninth in success rate, third in dropback EPA, and fifth in rush EPA. In the same time frame, the Broncos defense ranks fourth in EPA/play, first in success rate, third in dropback EPA, and 17th in rush EPA. What that tells us is this is going to be a battle for both parties.
The Cowboys have had struggles with the...

Week 8 in the NFL has arrived, and the 2025 season is zooming by. The trade deadline and playoff picture are starting to be talked about, and fantasy owners are either feeling really good or really bad right now.
The Cowboys fantasy football rankings are also back for another week, as the team continues to produce like few others in all league formats.
Just last week, we saw a staggering six Dallas players finish with 12 or more points in PPR formats. Half of those ended up with a 20-point or more performance; in short, these guys are balling out....
