They Cowboys have some material to work with at linebacker.
Just a wee bit before the second hour of Round 2, the Cowboys traded their own fifth-round draft choice to San Francisco for Dee Winters, the linebacker having started in 27 of his 32 games played for the Niners over the past two years. There you go, Winters immediatelybecoming one potential starting inside linebacker, along with a finally healthy Overshown in this his third offseason since drafted in the third round of 2023.

By now we all know wide receiver George Pickens will play the 2026 NFL season under the $27.3 million franchise tag and the Dallas Cowboys have no intentions of trading him. What we don’t know is what’s next for these two? Does Pickens have a long-term future in Dallas? Today, we dive into the Cowboys options to help determine which one could be best for the future of the organization.
Let’s get started.
According to the Cowboys, they have no intentions of trading George Pickens. That, of course, depends on how their season is...

We continue scouting the 2026 NFL Draft class for the Dallas Cowboys by looking at the undrafted free agent class. Today we are looking at offensive tackle Shiyazh Pete from Kentucky.

Pete’s first year in college was 2021 at New Mexico State. Pete redshirted and did not appear in a game for the Aggies. That year was essentially a developmental season as he adjusted from small-school football to FBS size, speed and structure. His second year was his first season of game action and the...

With George Pickens expected to play on the franchise tag in 2026, we are unlikely to see any new contracts from the Dallas Cowboys for quite some time.
However, there has been a slew of deals over these past few months, both internal and external, that will shape the team’s cap situation over the next few seasons. Especially as they’ve spent more money recently, we have more to monitor from a success standpoint.
Here, I’ll go over the three contracts currently on the Cowboys’ books that stand out above the rest as good value deals.
The NFL schedule is set to be released on May 14th which is very exciting. At the moment we do know one game for the Dallas Cowboys and that is a Week 3 “home” game against the Baltimore Ravens. That is technically a game that Dallas is the host team for, but it is taking place in Brazil.
It is jarring to see the Cowboys finally relent and cede a home game as they have fought off doing so for a long time. In fact, most teams don’t even want to give up their home games against the Cowboys because...

The aftermath of the 2026 NFL Draft has brought a ton of hype toward the 2026 Dallas Cowboys, and for good reason: they hit the draft out of the park, especially with the addition of superstar defensive back Caleb Downs.
After missing out on the postseason in both 2024 and 2025, the team is looking stronger than it has in a couple of years, thanks to that draft class and some bonus additions in free agency.
As I said, the optimism is warranted, but there is a negative aspect of this season that is being underrated.
Dallas is set to...
When the Dallas Cowboys traded away Micah Parsons, the mood was pretty bad. The life of the defense had been shipped off to Wisconsin, and the fallout was immediately felt. The defense, which had seen a resurgence under Parsons and Dan Quinn, returned to being really terrible. Fans were left scratching their head why a prideful owner with huge pockets would let a franchise player waltz right out of the building only to get slapped in the face with the defensive sucktitude that made them almost unbearable to watch.
Fortunately, for all of us, a lot has changed over the...

This front office is not going big-game hunting for free agents after the draft, but the Cowboys could add some affordable veteran depth and camp competition.
I’ve watched this team long enough to know how this part of the offseason normally goes. Big names get tossed around by fans who talk themselves into splash signings.
But splash signings don’t happen and the front office waits for the market to cool off. That’s not exciting, but it is the lane they drive in.
So, a couple of weeks after the draft, I’m not looking for a superstar. I’m looking for cheap...
After dealing Micah Parsons, the Cowboys out the picks and salary cap room to good use..
What the Cowboys Got in the Micah Parsons Trade
The Packers got Micah Parsons and the Cowboys got Kenny Clark, a 2026 first-round pick, and a 2027 first-round pick. That was it and some fans lost their minds, but what the Cowboys did with those picks was almost vintage Jerry Jones. The Cowboys didn’t just take the picks and sit on...

Football’s a tough business, where a guy can go from having one of the best plays of the year to not even making the team the following season. That’s a fate safety Alijah Clark, the next player in our Dallas Cowboys roster rundown series, hopes to avoid in 2026.
Years in NFL: 1
Acquired by: UDFA (2025)
One of Dallas’ undrafted free agents last year, Clark had a strong camp and made a case for the bottom of the roster with both safety and nickel corner appeal. However, he was ultimately waived at final cuts and added to...

Tommy Dunn Jr.’s recruitment had an interesting profile because he was not just a pure defensive tackle at the time. He came through as a three-star defensive lineman and tight end, and 247Sports rated him the No. 97 strong-side defensive end in the nation when he committed to Kansas

The NFL has mastered the art of content, and nothing proves that like the annual schedule release. It is often noted how the league has turned the simple art of sharing when the games that we already know about (in terms of the opponents each team plays and the locations of the games in question) into a massive production.
To be clear there are important details to all of this. For the Dallas Cowboys there is a massive difference in traveling to play the Philadelphia Eagles in September or December based on weather. You get the point.
On Thursday of...
