The Chargers won their fourth consecutive game following their bye and have now won seven of their last eight. They’re peaking at the right time just ahead of matchups against the Texans and the Broncos to finish out the regular season.
With the 49ers beating the Colts on Monday night, the Chargers also clinched their spot in the postseason. However, if they win out from here, they would actually win the AFC West and earn a top seed in this year’s playoffs. If they lose out, they’d likely land in the seventh seed. Splitting the final two games of the...

Quentin Johnston put together his best performance of the season with a 104-yard, one-score outing against the Cowboys in his home state of Texas. He caught Justin Herbert’s first touchdown of the game and later made two big catches to help keep the Chargers ahead of Dallas for the entire second half.
Herbert also had one of his best games of the season, completing 23-of-29 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns to go with one score on the ground.
Defensively, Tuli Tuipulotu notched his 13th sack of the season, further increasing his single-season high mark. Oh, and we can’t...

The Los Angeles Chargers can clinch a playoff spot on Monday without even playing in the game. The Indianapolis Colts stand in the Chargers’ way, but they play fellow playoff hopefuls in the San Francisco 49ers. The game is in Indianapolis and former Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers is somehow Indy’s starting QB.
Bolts From The Blue
On Monday morning, the NFL announced that Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman is being suspended without pay for two games for “repeated violations of playing rules intended to protect the health and safety of players.”
Perryman was flagged for his hit against Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Flournoy when the latter was laying on the ground after making a catch. Instead of simply touching Flournoy down, Perryman dove seemingly head-first towards the wideout which ended in their helmets colliding. Flournoy was slow to get up and eventually left the game.
The news means that the Bolts will be without one of their...

The Los Angeles Chargers are coming off a big win against Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16, getting one step closer to a playoff berth.
The Chargers can officially clinch a playoff spot if the San Francisco 49ers beat the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football, but they will also do so if they beat the Houston Texans at home in Week 17.
The Chargers and Texans both occupy Wild Card spots in the AFC, but FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Chargers as a 1.5-point favorite against C.J. Stroud’s squad, who beat Los Angeles in the first round...

After two consecutive games in which Justin Herbert and the Chargers offense sputtered despite pulling out wins, the Bolts now get the chance to face the league’s worst pass defense. Herbert has thrown a combined two scores and two interceptions against the Eagles and Chiefs (349 total passing yards). The passing offense is nowhere near where it needs to be and this matchup is exactly what they need to get right before dates against the elite defenses of the Texans and Broncos.
Seeing as the Cowboys also have the league’s top passing offense, the Bolts may end up finding themselves...

Week 16 has already blessed us with some amazing games, between the NFC West clash on Thursday that saw the Seahawks win an OT thriller against the Rams, and Saturday night’s Bears vs. Packers NFC North battle. Oh, and the Eagles also beat the Commanders — which eliminated the Chargers’ opponent this week, the Dallas Cowboys, from playoff contention. And heading into Sunday, we could see some big shifts in the AFC playoff picture.
The first big shift we could see? The Broncos clinching the AFC West, which will happen if the Broncos beat the Jaguars and if the Chargers...

Welcome to game day, everyone!
The Chargers are in Dallas today to face the 6-7-1 Cowboys. A win pushes the Bolts to 11-4 which would match their record from 2024. A loss does not necessarily drastically hurt their playoff chances, but a win would certainly solidify their already strong percentage of punching a ticket this year.
Dallas’ offense is the best passing offense in the league. That will be one of the toughest tasks for a a Chargers defense who has made a name this year by defending the pass as well as anyone. On the other side, the Cowboys...
