Chargers-Cowboys Live Game Recap: Herbert, Bolts need offensive wakeup vs. Dallas

Chargers-Cowboys Live Game Recap: Herbert, Bolts need offensive wakeup vs. Dallas
Bolts From The Blue Bolts From The Blue

After two consecutive games in which Justin Herbert and the Chargers offense sputtered despite pulling out wins, the Bolts now get the chance to face the league’s worst pass defense. Herbert has thrown a combined two scores and two interceptions against the Eagles and Chiefs (349 total passing yards). The passing offense is nowhere near where it needs to be and this matchup is exactly what they need to get right before dates against the elite defenses of the Texans and Broncos.

Seeing as the Cowboys also have the league’s top passing offense, the Bolts may end up finding themselves in a shootout today. The run game will help shorten the game, but don’t be surprised if the Chargers are forced to core quickly to keep pace.

Even with the Cowboys eliminated from the playoffs, they’ll have plenty to play for in the way of bragging rights and muddying up Los Angeles’ path to clinching a postseason bid.

Stay tuned. It’s bound to be a good one.
