Before the start of free agency, the Chargers looked like they had a pretty cut-and-dry plan in regards to where and how they needed to upgrade the roster for 2026 to avoid yet another first-round exit in the playoffs (and keep Justin Herbert on the right side of the grass).
Free agency and the draft came and went and the Bolts used what resources they had to orchestrate their vision. In free agency, the Chargers added new starting center Tyler Biadasz, right guard Cole Strange, and speedy back eaton Mitchell. In the draft, they used their first-round pick on pass-rusher...

The Los Angeles Chargers know Justin Herbert as their starting quarterback for the upcoming season, but there is still a question mark surrounding who his backup will be.
The Chargers have Trey Lance and DJ Uiagalelei on the roster. While the former served as the backup last season, there is reason to believe that the latter could take over in 2026 with a strong training camp.
“With Justin Herbert throwing little this offseason while focusing on footwork and mechanics, Uiagalelei has taken advantage of his reps. The former undrafted free agent has been one of the Chargers’ most impressive players,...

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Tre Harris is in the middle of his first full offseason in the NFL, and he’s making the most of his opportunity.
Harris caught 30 passes for 324 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season with the Chargers, but that was far from the player he was during his time at Louisiana Tech and Ole Miss. The transition from college to the pros is tough, but it appears Harris could be catching up to the curve.
“One of the biggest beneficiaries in line for an increased target share could be second-year wideout Tre Harris,...

The Los Angeles Chargers have been one of the league’s most successful teams over the past two years, but they don’t have any postseason victories to show for it.
The Chargers hope that third time’s the charm when it comes to this core getting the shot at making a deep playoff run. ESPN insider Kris Rhim is putting a lot of stock into offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel and what he can bring to the table.
“The Chargers’ offense has been its Achilles’ heel the past two seasons, with both years ending in playoff losses, in large part because the offense...
