Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Tre Harris is in the middle of his first full offseason in the NFL, and he’s making the most of his opportunity.

Harris caught 30 passes for 324 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season with the Chargers, but that was far from the player he was during his time at Louisiana Tech and Ole Miss. The transition from college to the pros is tough, but it appears Harris could be catching up to the curve.

“One of the biggest beneficiaries in line for an increased target share could be second-year wideout Tre Harris, who turned heads at minicamp. The 2025 second-round pick out of Ole Miss had a modest rookie campaign, catching 30 balls for 324 yards and a touchdown. At minicamp, Harris has noticeably put on more muscle,” CBS Sports contributor Tyler Sullivan wrote.

“Harris has the profile of a second-year breakout candidate, and the fact that the Chargers did not target a wide receiver this offseason suggests they are confident in the players they have, including the 24-year-old.”

With the new offense under Mike McDaniel, Harris could be in line for a bigger role in the team’s offense. Vlad McConkey should still be the top target for Los Angeles, but Harris could play more like the receiver he was in college than he did in his rookie year now that he’s more comfortable and athletic for the NFL game.
