The Arizona Cardinals finally have their first round pick signed.
The Arizona Cardinals have signed first round pick to a four-year rookie contract, of course with a fifth year option that we are all hoping gets picked up.
From the team:
The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced the signing of Mississippi defensive lineman Walter Nolen III, the team’s first-round (16th overall) selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, to a four-year contract with a team option for a fifth year. The signing took place today at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center in Tempe, AZ.

Who do you think is the Arizona Cardinals X-Factor for 2025?
Happy Monday one and all.
Walter has a great discussion going on the best and worst moves of the first three offseason’s under Monti Ossenfort, so make sure to check that out.
Today we wanted to take a look at who the X-Factor for the Arizona Cardinals is in 2025.
PFF thinks it is going to be Michael Wilson.
From PFF:
X-factor for 2025: WR Michael Wilson
Marvin Harrison Jr. could soon be a star, and Trey McBride is one of the best tight ends in...
ROTB Challenge: You pick ’em.
PHNX’s Johnny Venerable and Bo Brock issued their listings of the 5 best and worst moves that Cardinals’ GM Monti Ossenfort has made over the past 2 1⁄2 years.
What I appreciate most about what Johnny and Bo do at PHNX is how they generate consistently provocative points of discussion. Like this meaningful one. Thank you PHNX!

What do you believe are MO’s 5 best and most questionable moves to date?
Here are mine:
MO’s 5 Best Moves:
Talking all things Arizona Cardinals.
Happy Sunday one and all.
We are heading into the mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, as they will have minicamp June 10-12 this week.
However, before that happens, let’s take a look at the rest of the offseason, some news, some notes and some observations from the last month.
Jess and I start with the upcoming Arizona Cardinals schedule, then discuss the Sean Murphy-Bunting injury. From there we discuss the size difference of last years rookies and why the bulk up is not unexpected.
Finally, what is up with all the veterans missing these voluntary offseason...

Happy Saturday one and all.
The Arizona Cardinals are looking to take the next step in 2025, as they have improved each of their two seasons under Jonathan Gannon, but this season isn’t just about improving, it is about taking the Cardinals to the playoffs and competing...
Kudos to Hjalte Froholdt starting his 3rd season with the Cardinals
From Hjalte Froholdt’s pre-season PFF ranking at center in his first year as the Cardinals’ starting center in 2023 —->
PFF Center Rankings: Top 32 ahead of the 2023 NFL season
Seeing starts at both guard and center in 2022 with the Browns, Froholdt didn’t do much to impress, posting sub-50.0 PFF pass-blocking grades in four of the five games where he spent the majority of his time at center.
To Hjalte Froholdt’s improved pre-season center ranking in 2024:
[Highest-graded centers from the...
Denzel Burke says playing at home for the Cardinals is a blessing
This FOX 10 feature on the Cardinals’ 2025 5th-round pick, CB Denzel Burke of Ohio St., could very well be the feel-good video of the day:
Great to see Coach Mohns (currently the TE coach at Arizona St.) speak so highly of Denzel Burke (both as a CB and WR) and two other outstanding Saguaro High School players (both former Cardinals) whom Mohns coached in WR Christian Kirk and CB Byron Murphy.
Gotta love the draft day phone call that Denzel Burke received from Monti Ossenfort.
Amazing to...
Trent Williams has been the best player against the Arizona Cardinals.
With the Arizona Cardinals having upgraded their front seven of their defense now the question becomes can they finally get the best of their arch nemesis?
PFF talked about the best player for opposing teams against the Arizona Cardinals and it has been the San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams.
From PFF:
Arizona Cardinals: T Trent Williams
Williams has made a habit of mauling everybody in front of him, and the Arizona Cardinals are likely awaiting the day he retires. Across nine games against the...
Plus, three areas that can elevate the Cardinals’ passing game
When you look at Trey McBride’s superb production in 2024, it’s hard to imagine that he wouldn’t have been ranked near the top of most TE-related categories.
Of course, we know about Trey McBride’s mysterious lack of TD receptions. His 2 TDs on the season ranked him #18 among NFL TEs in 2024.
But before we address the two other categories that Trey McBride was not amongst the leading TEs, let’s revel in these 2024 TE rankings:
Two of the Cardinals; remaining UFAs find new NFL homes
It’s a sad day for Arizona Cardinals’ fans who have always held OLB Dennis Gardeck in high regard. he has just signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Who will ever forget how it took only two pre-season games as an undrafted rookie in 2018 out of Sioux Falls to acquire the nickname of “Gardeck the Barbarian” from Cardinals’ color commentator Ron Wolfley for Dennis’ relentless effort as a gunner on special teams?
Who will ever forget how Dennis Gardeck recorded 7 sacks and 18 QB pressures...
Good luck to the fan favorite Dennis Gardeck.
The Dennis Gardeck era in Arizona is over.
Jordan Schultz is reporting that the Arizona Cardinals special teams captain and pass rusher is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Gardeck was an undrafted free agent from Sioux Falls, who had seven sacks in his third year, but had also dealt with injuries in almost every season.
The last two seasons he had nine sacks but only played in 24 games during that timeframe.
So, health has been the biggest question, as he played in 17 games in 2023, but only seven last season....

I wouldn’t say there are many hot seats in Arizona, despite entering the month of June.
For the Arizona Cardinals, they have seen the franchise moving in the right direction under the guidance of Monti Ossenfort and Jonathan Gannon.
Yet, they need to take the next step this...
