It’s that time of year again where players are ranked by their peers in the NFL’s Top 100 from last season. The first Denver Broncos player to make this list is none other than defensive lineman Zach Allen.
Allen has been on the ascent since signing with Denver in free agency in 2023. He has thrived under Vance Joseph’s defensive scheme with two All-Pro selections. He has accumulated 20.5 sacks in three years and 8 passes defensed (batted passes at the line). He has also amassed 111 quarterback hits in three seasons after just 43 in four seasons with the...

One more day away and we’ll close out the remaining defensive position. I look forward to sharing my safety list. At cornerback, there are so many great options and its always nice to put a current active Bronco on an all-time top five list. Let’s get these cornerbacks ranked!
Crazily enough, we all agree on who should be in the top five but do not agree at all how the ranking shakes out below Champ Bailey. I went with CHJ, but Pat Surtain is closing like a freight train and will likely challenge Champ for the top spot if he...

The Denver Broncos touted one of the NFL’s best defenses the past two seasons. In back-to-back years, they topped the charts with respect to sacks. Not only that, but they have also greatly improved their run defense. There is no doubt the defensive trenches have played an integral role in Denver’s turnaround the past few seasons.
In order to compete for a championship in 2026, the Broncos’ defensive line will have to perform at high level once again. With John Franklin-Myers departing to the Tennessee Titans via free agency, Denver will need several of their reserve players from years past...

Good morning, Broncos Country. The Denver Broncos are a few weeks away from the beginning of training camp. The competition will be heated at various positions. Though one area of significant interest will be in the defensive trenches. With the departure of John Franklin-Myers to the Tennessee Titans, Denver will turn to a handful of developing players to replace his production.
Second-year player Sai’vion Jones and rookie Tyler Onyedim will certainly have a chance to prove they are capable of doing so. However, one player to not underestimate this season will be fourth-year defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike. After appearing in...

As we run towards the end of these top five lists, it is clear that the Denver Broncos have had much more impactful defensive players than offensive ones. There are greats on both sides, but there seems to be a lot more great defensive players to choose from. These lists are getting quite difficult.
For inside linebacker, I initially put Karl Mecklenburg at edge but I looked it up and he was officially listed as an inside linebacker. Though I definitely recall him lining up all over the place and creating havoc. After that, I had to go with Al...

With Bo Nix healthy after the win over the Buffalo Bills, I think only New England Patriots fans would disagree that the Denver Broncos were likely destined for the Super Bowl five months ago. It was not meant to be, but the good news is we will have Nix back in action for this season and the sky is the limit for this squad. Sean Payton is returning almost the entire roster for a chance to run it back. That should equate to more touchdown passes, right? Let’s vote and discuss and we’ll share the results later this week!
*Welcome...

Sean Payton and Bill Belichick in Denver with the Broncos?
According to Payton, it almost happened.
But is the Broncos head coach just spinning a yarn?
Seth Wickersham is one of the best in the business at getting to he heart of what Sean Payton does, thinks, and knows.
Last year, Wickersham’s book American Kings: A Biography of the Quarterback explained why Payton drafted Bo Nix. While it may have been well-known in front offices, it seemed to be new information pertaining to how coaches and team decision-makers...
The edge rusher list and defensive line list has some overlap and it really depends on how the fan viewed the specific player. Rich “Tombstone” Jackson was a guy who made the Top 5 in both lists. Some of us viewed him as a defensive end and others as a true edge rusher, which kind of is the same thing in many ways. That he makes both lists is a testament to how good he was.
It is clear that future Hall of Famer, Von Miller, will be at the top of this list. The Super Bowl 50 MVP is...

Alex Palczewski signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent back in 2023 and quickly made an impression on them. He was a standout player during training camp and saw himself pushing for a spot on the Broncos’ 53-man roster. In a bittersweet sort of fashion, Palczewski would make the Broncos’ 53-man roster, but would be placed on the injured reserve a day later. He would remain on the IR until very late in the season, when they activated him to the main roster.
In year two, Palczewski saw his role grow further and made his career debut...

As a rookie, Bo Nix threw for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns. In his sophomore campaign, the passing yards increased slightly to 3,931 while Nix’s TDs dipped to 25.
NFL sportsbooks for the upcoming season have Nix “setting an all-time low” (as the Denver Post phrased it) at 23.5-24.5 touchdowns, depending on the book, and around 3,500 passing yards. A bit hyperbolic in its reference, the Post isn’t wrong in noting either number would be Nix’s lowest production since coming into the NFL.
Are you taking the over or under on that line?
It would...

We ran through the offensive greats last week, so now it is time to kick off the Denver Broncos defensive greats. This one was a bit hard to divvy up since the defense can be a 4-3 traditional or a 3-4 type with edge specialties. After some discussion, we will do interior defensive line here and separate out the true edge rushers into its own category.
That freed us up to really focus on some of the greatest players in the trenches. I had to go with the master of the ‘head-slap’ in Tombstone Jackson, though he could be a...

The Denver Broncos have one of the best offensive lines in the National Football League. It’s a unit that sports quality starters and boasts versatile depth players at multiple positions. Their success as unit has been a big reason why the fortunes of the franchise have improved drastically in short order. In order for them to make another Super Bowl run, the group will have to perform at a high level.
One player competing for a spot on this year’s 53-man roster is former Oregon standout Alexy Forsyth. A former seventh-round pick of the Broncos in the 2023 NFL Draft,...
