The Buffalo Bills have one major weakness that the Denver Broncos NEED to take advantage of this Saturday, and it is their run defense. The Jacksonville Jaguars were running all over the Bills’ defense this past weekend, but for whatever reason, they did not lean into it.
Veteran running back Trevor Etienne Jr. only had 10 carries, but was averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Meanwhile, explosive rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten only had 4 carries but was averaging an insane 12.8 yards per carry.
The Bills had no answer for the Jaguars’ run game, and this has been an issue...

Last year, the Denver Broncos made the playoffs and faced the Buffalo Bills in the wildcard round. During that game, the Bills’ offense exposed a vital weakness of the defensive side of the ball for the Broncos. Josh Allen and the Bills’ running backs and tight ends attacked the Broncos’ linebackers and safeties throughout that game, and it led to a 31-7 loss.
After that game, the Broncos would head into the offseason with the plan of upgrading their linebacker and safety positions in the offseason. Well, they went out and signed safety Talanoa Hufanga, who went on to have...

Given that the Denver Broncos were so good this regular season that they earned a second week off, there is no offensive line film to review. At least not until next week. So I figured we could scout the enemy a bit instead.
We’ll be taking a look at the film from the Wild Card matchup between the Jaguars and the Bills and see what the Jags were able to do well in the run game. While this won’t be a comprehensive examination of where the Bills are susceptible on the ground based off of a season’s sample size, this...

For the first time in a decade, an NFL playoff game is set for Mile High.
The Denver Broncos welcome Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills to town for the AFC Divisional Playoffs. And the Broncos will look to dish out a little revenge on Saturday. It was Allen and the Bills who eliminated Denver from the playoffs last season.
But the tables have turned, and the Broncos will play this game at home after a bye in the Wild Card round. Mile High will be rocking with Denver looking to flip the script on last season’s outcome with a...

Every team in the NFL has injuries every season. It is part of the game and to be expected.
In having a dominant regular season that secured the #1 seed in the playoffs, the Broncos have allowed themselves to get healthy by and large at the right time.
The one glaring link missing is going to be Brandon Jones, who is going to be missed on defense. He’s a versatile, physical safety who has played exceptionally well in the Broncos’ defense.
But getting back inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw is a big deal. He’s an enforcer over the middle and is...

We are officially in game week mode with the Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills releasing their first practice participation report for this Divisional Round matchup.
The Broncos are getting guys back healthy after their bye as both Dre Greenlaw and John Franklin-Myers were back practicing today. Tight end Lucas Krull was also activated off injured reserve, so his 21-day window to return has begun. They also activated linebacker Drew Sanders. Greenlaw, Krull, and Sanders were all limited, but JFM was a full go in practice today.
On the Bills side of things, it was confirmed that wide receiver Tyrell Shavers...

While the Denver Broncos will not be looking for a new Head Coach this offseason (thank you, Sean Payton), multiple coaches on their current staff will be candidates for jobs elsewhere during this hiring cycle.
The biggest name we will be tracking is defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. He returned to the Broncos three seasons ago, and after a rough start early on, has turned this Broncos defense into one of the best units in the NFL over the past two seasons. His defense will lead the NFL in sacks for a second straight year, and Joseph figures to be a...

In terms of both distance and accuracy field goal kickers (during the regular season) were the best that they have ever been in 2025.
The last season where a FG from shorter than 20 yards was missed was 2002, so I don’t even bother putting that on the chart. I debated removing FGs from 20-29 yards since they are hit at 95+% and have been since the early years of this century. This season FGs of 40-49 were hit at a historically high rate of 84%. The previous high was 2013 – 83%. There were zero 60 yard FG attempts...

Everything the Denver Broncos have worked for is now in front of them. They have conquered the regular season and have the best possible position heading into the NFL postseason.
Now that we’ve got some separation from the regular season and a week without Broncos football being played, I’m ruminating on what the Broncos are going to do on the field in the playoffs.
One of the big things I love about cheering for this team today is just how dynamic and cunning the coaching staff is on both sides of the ball. Sean Payton is the real deal, both...
Mile High Report
It’s playoff déjà vu for the Denver Broncos who host the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of the playoffs on Saturday. After a successful regular season, the Broncos are hoping to avoid being one-and-done and continue their chase for the franchise’s fourth Lombardi Trophy. The Bills will be a formidable foe, and this will be a tough matchup. It’s certainly a game the Broncos can win, but in order to do so, they need to accomplish these three things.

Between Vegas and pundits, it appears the Broncos’ week off plus playing at Mile High is not convincing enough to think Denver is the “overdog.”
And I love that. I prefer the Broncos to be overlooked underdogs, so the team can stay focused on fighting to prove everyone wrong, rather than buying into any noise that they should easily beat a team.
For one thing, since when has a Denver Broncos team in any era pounded another team into submission? Almost never. For another thing, I wouldn’t necessarily disagree...

The Denver Broncos will host their first home playoff game in a decade with the Buffalo Bills coming to town in the Divisional Round. Denver is the first one seed to be home underdogs in the divisional round in nine years. Buffalo has the proven playoff experience, while these Broncos have been doubted on all season long. It’s time to put that homefield advantage to work.
Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. Mile High time on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. You can watch the live stream of the game through FuboTV...
