90 Buffalo Bills players in 90 days: LB Joe Andreessen

The Buffalo Bills have improved their linebacker depth over the last few seasons. Some of that improvement has come out of necessity, as injuries forced young players to step into the lineup, endure growing pains, and improve on the fly. Some of those improvements have also come as the result of solid signings and shrewd drafting.

The Bills generally play with two linebackers on the field, although they showed a willingness last year to use three linebackers against certain run-heavy clubs like the Baltimore Ravens. Perhaps coincidentally, that team is the first real opponent Buffalo will face this season, as...

Buffalo Rumblings community chat: How far should the Buffalo Bills have gone for Micah Parsons?

This week, the Green Bay Packers completed a massive trade for Micah Parsons, one of the handful of NFL players who can claim to be the best in the league. The Dallas Cowboys were fleeced and should have extended him last offseason, then should have extended him this offseason, and now have shown their entire locker room that they are deeply unserious.

What would you have traded for Micah Parsons?

But we are a Buffalo Bills site, so that isn’t the focus of this article. If I was Bills general manager Brandon Beane, I absolutely would have made a...

90 Buffalo Bills players in 90 days: CB Taron Johnson

The Buffalo Bills run a nickel defense as their base look against most opponents. With a modern NFL game that’s skewed towards passing, it makes sense to have lighter, faster players on the field to counter spread offensive looks. But, what happens when teams decide to run out of those spread formations? If you have corners on the field who can’t tackle, you’re in trouble.

Enter Buffalo’s nickel corner, a smaller player who plays the run like someone 50 pounds heavier than he actually is, yet can run with most wideouts in the current NFL. He’s a weapon on defense...

Buffalo Rumblinks, 8/29: Examining the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad

Once the Buffalo Bills were done trimming their roster down to the league-mandated 53-man limit by Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. EDT, general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott turned their attention to filling the team’s practice squad.

The practice squad contains plenty of familiar faces, including 13 players who were initially part of the team’s 90-man roster. It also includes a pair of familiar veterans in safety Jordan Poyer and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who agreed to return to Western New York as part of Buffalo’s practice squad this year.

Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off...

Buffalo Bills work out 3 kickers, per reports

According to a report by Jordan Schultz, the Buffalo Bills brought in three veteran kickers for a workout on Thursday, August 28. The Bills reportedly worked out Eddy Piñeiro Jr., Zane Gonzalez, and Greg Joseph.

Piñeiro, 29, originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free-agent signing of the Las Vegas Raiders following the 2018 NFL Draft. He never kicked in an official game for the Raiders, as they traded him to the Chicago Bears in 2019. Piñeiro has also spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders, New York Jets, and Carolina Panthers in his career. He’s made 88% of...

Buffalo Bills shakeup practice squad roster

The Buffalo Bills announced their first practice squad of the 2025 NFL season on Wednesday, August 27. While the team signed 17 players to that roster, the understanding is that it can change at any time — similar to the 53-man active roster in ways. That leaves a lot of uncertainty for practice-squad players on a day to day basis.

Just two days after filling out the practice-squad roster, Buffalo reportedly made some changes. Defensive end Andre Jones Jr. was officially added to the practice squad after initial reports claimed his signing was imminent. The Bills also signed cornerback Jalen...
