Walker is recovering from an injury diagnosed during the lead-up to the draft.
Buffalo Bills rookie defensive tackle Deone Walker began OTAs with the team in a limited capacity, the same as was true of his rookie minicamp session. General manager Brandon Beane selected the 6’7”, 331-pound Walker with the 109th pick (Round 4) of the 2025 NFL Draft — likely with designs on seeing his long-term development take on that of a nightmare for opposing offenses.
That’s going to take a bit of time, with Walker working through a stress fracture only revealed to him during the 2025 NFL...
A South Beach change in philosophy?
Well Buffalo Bills fans, we’ve arrived at peak hope season on the NFL calendar. The ebbs and flows of the offseason can be meaningful, especially during the main player acquisition phase that runs from March until the end of the April.
If a team hasn’t done anything in the first few hours of the free-agency negotiating window, the murmurs of disapproval begin in the dark corners of the internet. Conversely, if a team makes a widely approved big splash in the NFL Draft with a consensus player, the optimism for the coming year or...
The name of the game was “revenge.”
The Buffalo Bills’ 2024 season has been written. So let’s add some “illustrations!” If you’re new to Plays That Defined, this isn’t a highlight recap, but rather a cathartic retelling of the past season, chapter by chapter.
Don’t vote for your favorite play necessarily, vote for the one that best represents that game’s narrative. I’ll recap the game to refresh your memory, but don’t feel locked in by my narrative.
After soundly beating a team from Florida, Week 3 saw the Buffalo Bills soundly...
The head coach of the Bills spoke at OTAs.
Speaking with the media prior to Buffalo Bills Organized Team Activities on Tuesday, head coach Sean McDermott said the team didn’t have a depth chart heading into the on-field work. That is, of course, silly to suggest. They have to know who is going to line up with the groups to start.
He did name one starter, however.
McDermott confirmed that Josh Allen will start practice working with the first-team offense.
Just so you don’t feel cheated, here is some video of Josh Allen in shorts and a helmet from today....
The 25-year-old has been rather vocal this offseason about his desire for a new deal
Unsurprisingly, Buffalo Bills running back James Cook has failed to report to voluntary OTAs, per head coach Sean McDermott. He is the only player missing from spring workouts.
OTAs are voluntary, so Cook doesn’t have to be there. Bills fans have been well aware of Cook’s social media antics this offseason and desire to make $15 to 20 million a year, too. However, the fact that Cook is the ONLY Bills player not in attendance is certainly a statement.
Cook will 26 in September and...
The soon-to-be 30-year-old signed a one-year deal with Buffalo in March and has quite the injury history
The on-field work portion of OTAs gets started today for the Buffalo Bills but we are already hearing some negative reports. While all players were present at OTAs aside from running back James Cook, who is seeking a new deal, Bills’ newly signed edge rusher, Joey Bosa, tweaked his calf during team workouts last week and will be sidelined for the foreseeable future, per head coach Sean McDermott.
McDermott also hinted that the 29-year-old will likely be sidelined for all of OTAs but...
Five years later, who won the trade between the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings?
It’s been five years since the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings completed a trade for enigmatic wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The Bills sent a package that included a first-round pick to Minneapolis in exchange for Diggs, and both sides probably have reason to believe the trade was a good one.
Let’s dive into the compensation and the return on investment:
Like the exposure or not, all the eyes will be on St. John Fisher University this August.
News that the Buffalo Bills will be featured on this summer’s edition of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” might not be the dream scenario for general manager Brandon Beane or head coach Sean McDermott. For Bills Mafia and NFL fans in general, however, it’s an opportunity to discover more about the team’s dynamics behind closed doors.
To be filmed at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, NY, the series will offer an unfiltered look at the Bills’ training camp, capturing a Super Bowl contender eager...
Plus, running through the Buffalo Bills best and worst contracts.
While the news might not have been music to the ears of Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott, the chance to be featured on the NFL Films and HBO offseason production of the hit show, “Hard Knocks,” represents a terrific opportunity to showcase the Bills franchise to a national audience through free advertising.
There will be plenty of drama and intrigue surrounding which players earn a coveted 53-man roster spot, but the show is all about telling compelling stories and providing behind-the-scenes access to the...
If the Bills hope to continue their dominant ways, these players will be integral to success.
Every offseason, a group of Buffalo Bills content creators come together to work on a project about the franchise. The focus centers on the “10 most important Buffalo Bills” as it relates to the future of the club.
It’s always a pleasure to work on this project, as Joe Marino (no relation) from Locked On Bills brings the group together to share our rankings. Our respective picks are then tabulated, which are then released by Marino through two shows that featured the average of...

NFL owners voted this week to allow a limited number of NFL players to participate in flag football at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. I was already excited to see flag football in the biggest games on the planet, so adding the prospect of NFL players to the mix makes it even more fun.
The resolution also needs to be approved by the NFLPA, the International Federation of American Football (IFAF), and “the relevant Olympic authorities to implement rules governing the participation of NFL players in flag football”.
Each participating nation...
Described by many analysts as the most Bills-ready player in the 2025 NFL Draft, what does Jackson bring to a defense?
During the lead-up to the 2025 NFL draft, defensive end was a position of need many analysts saw for the Buffalo Bills. One Bills Drive responded (eventually), selecting defensive end Landon Jackson during Round 3 of April’s draft.
The former Razorback has the physical traits Buffalo tends to look for in EDGE players — a rookie who stands at 6’6” and weighs 264 pounds. He’s a massive prospect with 33 1/4” arms and 10” hands, and reveals himself as...
