According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta has been fully medically cleared and is expected to enter next week’s training camp as a full participant.
LaPorta suffered a herniated disc in his back last year, forcing him to have surgery and miss the final eight games of the season. But when the Lions returned to the field for OTAs and minicamp in the spring, LaPorta was back on the field doing walkthroughs—a sign his recovery was still on schedule.

The Seattle Seahawks announced they signed CB Brandon Johnson and waived TE Harrison Bryant in a corresponding move on Tuesday.
Seattle brought in Johnson for a workout earlier today.
Bryant, 28, was selected with the No. 115 overall pick in the fourth round of the 2020 by the Browns. He signed a four-year, $4.1 million rookie contract through 2023 and joined the Raiders on a one-year deal for 2024.

LaPorta underwent surgery on his back in November and missed the rest of the season on injured reserve after appearing in nine games.
