The Lions tight end was fully medically cleared earlier this month and should be a participant when Detroit’s training camp opens in August, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. According to Ian Rapoport, the Patriots and CB Christian Gonzalez have been in negotiations for a new contract, but his deal is being held up by Seahawks CB Devon Witherspoon‘s impending deal.
