On Wednesday, it was announced that Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams will be on the cover of Madden 27. When asked about it, head coach Ben Johnson was virtually speechless, per Ian Rapoport.
All he could do was muster up two words:
“No reaction.”

When the Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers in their 2026 regular season opener at U.S. Bank Stadium, the offense is likely going to find things significantly easier than they ordinarily would have.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that Packers star edge rusher Micah Parsons has made it clear that he will begin the season on the Packers’ Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List. By rule, that means he would miss the first four games of the regular season at a minimum, which means that he will be unavailable for the regular season opener in Minneapolis....

The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office confirmed they have issued an arrest warrant for 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk in regards to a misdemeanor speeding charge from December of last year, per Aidin Vaziri of the San Francisco Chronicle.
The case appears to stem from a video posted by Aiyuk of him driving near Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, going 64 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone.
Aiyuk, 28, was a one-year starter at Arizona State and earned first-team All-Pac 12 in his final season. The 49ers traded up with the Vikings to select him with the No....

Every Cowboys fan knows there’s going to be battle for the backup RB position in this year’s camp, but how many see Israel Abanikanda as one of the contenders? A late addition to last year’s practice squad, Abanikanda may be a more meaningful presence this summer than you think.
Years in NFL: 3
Acquired by: Free agency (2025)
After a strong college career at Pitt, Abanikanda entered the NFL draft process with the label of an athletically gifted runner, mixing power and speed, but lacking in technique. Considered a mid-round prospect in the 2023 draft class, Abanikanda was...

The Pittsburgh Steelers took care of one of their young core players on Tuesday, reportedly agreeing to terms with Nick Herbig on a four-year extension. It locks up a key member of the defense as the Steelers continue to spend more than anybody else on that side of the ball. However, to FS1’s Jason McIntyre, […]

LOS ANGELES — After appearing grumpy following the Los Angeles Rams' first-round selection of backup quarterback Ty Simpson on draft night, head coach Sean McVay was back to his chippy, enthusiastic self after his team consummated one of the biggest trades in NFL history, securing the league’s best defensive player in former Cleveland Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett. Garrett sat sandwiched between jovial Rams general manager Les Snead and McVay during the opening moments of his introductory press conference. And then the duo got down to the nitty-gritty of a franchise-altering move that had been in the works for months,...
Taking advantage of their position as reigning AFC Super Bowl representatives, the New England Patriots made an all-in move this week, trading two draft picks for A.J. Brown. The agreement came after months of trade rumors linking the three-time Pro Bowl receiver to New England, but now we’re learning even more about why the trade was so complicated.
Shortly after the trade was completed, Patriots VP of player personnel Eliot Wolf spoke to Yahoo’s Jori Epstein, where he revealed that Brown has a “degenerative knee condition.” It’s an interesting discovery, considering he only ever missed one regular season game due...
On Wednesday, Green Bay Packers pass-rusher Micah Parsons told the local press that he has a strict “nine-month rule” to return to game action, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Ryan Wood. This makes sense, considering that receiver Christian Watson, who tore his ACL late in the 2025 season, took nine months to return to practice and nine months and 21 days to return to games.
For perspective, Parsons, who tore his ACL on December 14th, had his knee surgery on December 29th. Essentially, he should be expected to return to practice in late September, which would now be allowed...
