Saturday’s minor NFL moves:
San Francisco 49ers
Seattle Seahawks
As players begin to report for training camp, several will be moved to temporary injury lists. Those which receive the active Non-Football Injury or Physically Unable to Perform designations are prohibited from practicing during camp until being medically cleared, but they can be brought back onto the active roster at any time during the summer.
An unspecified injury kept Eastern sidelined for most of the spring, as noted by Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times....

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers have a potential All-Pro center in Zach Frazier and two young rising offensive lineman in guard Mason McCormick and tackle Troy Fautanu. McCormick and Fautanu are both expected to move to the left side this season, so the right side still needs to be ironed out. Guard Spencer Anderson and tackle Dylan Cook are the favorites to land starting roles on the right side. Both played well in 2025. First-round pick tackle Max Iheanachor and veteran guard Brock Hoffman are also in the mix to be starters.
The Steelers tweaked their alignment on the offensive line...
With our Miami Dolphins heading to training camp just around the corner, I asked the following question this past week:
Who is your projected Miami Dolphins breakout candidate on offense for the upcoming season, and why?
Below are some of your thoughts and answers-
Cyberflea highlights the one guy who must “breakout” this season if we hope for anything that looks like success on the field.
The player that must breakout is QB Malik Willis. The most important position in football. Dulcich will be Willis’s security blanket and should have a very good season. My sleeper is WR Kevin...

Jack Bouwmeester was originally set to join the 49ers as an undrafted free agent this spring. His arrival with the team has been delayed, but it is now official.
The former Texas punter is on the books, per a team announcement. Bouwmeester is Australian, and the gap between his decision to join San Francisco and today’s news was caused by a delay in processing his work visa. That issue has now been solved in time for training camo.
Through OTAs and minicamp, Corliss Waitman operated as the 49ers’ only punter. The free agent signing will now have competition as San...
Pro Football Rumors
The Commanders made a veteran addition to their secondary when they signed cornerback Rasul Douglas 12 days ago, alleviating the concerns of several who had been calling for reinforcements at the position. Rumors had run rampant that Washington had forgotten to address a major position of need, but according to ESPN’s John Keim, Douglas’ deal had been in the works for some time.
Before Douglas joined the fold, the Commanders only had three cornerbacks — 2025 first-rounder Trey Amos, 2024 second-rounder Mike Sainristil, and veteran free agent addition Amik Robertson — under contract past this year, not counting undrafted rookie...

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is due for a big contract extension with his rookie deal set to expire at the end of the 2026 season, and he knows exactly the type of payday he’s looking for.
Porter recently revealed that he expects to be paid as one of the NFL’s top cornerbacks while holding in at minicamp.
“Definitely, I feel like I was an elite guy since I’ve been in this League, and I’m happy that I’m getting the respect that I feel like I’m owed,” Porter said.
Only time will tell if the Steelers are...
For the Pittsburgh Steelers’ outside linebackers, strength comes in numbers. T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, and Nick Herbig are all capable starters but will need to share playing time. Exactly how those snaps are divvied up will be a storyline to watch. Herbig, fresh off a contract extension this offseason, will vie for reps against veterans […]

49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk had high hopes for new WR Mike Evans, but he was still surprised by the veteran’s ability to completely dominate practice, especially during red-zone periods.
“The expectations we had for Mike were already high … he’s a Hall of Famer … and he blew us all away,” Juszczyk said, via Vic Tafur of The Athletic. “He was unguardable in practice, especially in the red zone. And he fits in so well.”
Juszczyk was also impressed with second-round WR De’Zhaun Stribling’s physicality and willingness to block.
*“He’s explosive as a receiver, but he is also...
NFL Trade Rumors
It is often said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. How two people look at something could yield two entirely different points of evaluation. If you think it is worth a lot then you would likely be willing to pay a heavier price than someone who doesn’t. This disposition often comes into play relative to rosters in the NFL, but there are certain rules that make things more objective.
Relative to football and the finances of constructing a roster there are five positions that generally command more money than the others. It pays to be a quarterback,...
Blogging The Boys
The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t acquire Jalen Ramsey to rebuild for the future, they traded for him because they believe they can win now.
After nearly a decade as one of the NFL’s premier defensive backs, Ramsey arrived in Pittsburgh with an accomplished resume that few active players can match. Eight Pro Bowls, multiple first team All-Pro selections, a Super Bowl championship and nearly 30 career interceptions have already cemented his legacy as one of the defining cornerbacks of his generation.
But individual accolades are no longer the focus, at this stage of his career, Ramsey is chasing one thing, another...
