Your Dolphins Breakout Offensive Player For 2026

Your Dolphins Breakout Offensive Player For 2026
The Phinsider The Phinsider

With our Miami Dolphins heading to training camp just around the corner, I asked the following question this past week:

Who is your projected Miami Dolphins breakout candidate on offense for the upcoming season, and why?

Below are some of your thoughts and answers-

Cyberflea highlights the one guy who must “breakout” this season if we hope for anything that looks like success on the field.

The player that must breakout is QB Malik Willis. The most important position in football. Dulcich will be Willis’s security blanket and should have a very good season. My sleeper is WR Kevin Coleman.

I Hate Sports wants to see more out of Jonah in year two.

For the sake of the franchise, I’m hoping it’s Jonah Savaiinaea (Right Guard).

Dolfanjoe knows that a run-first offensive scheme needs more than one guy in the backfield who can get it done.

Ollie Gordon must step up. We are becoming a run first team. 3rd and two we will have to make a statement. Gordon must learn that he will have to throw himself into the position of being punished and be the punisher ! Games will be won and lost by getting that 1st down and keeping our young defense on the sideline. If he excels at it look out for Malik taking the ball a long ways on plays. Whether him running it or just passing it downfield.

JUK points to multiple potential breakout candidates, and we will need all of them.

Dulcich is the most obvious answer, and probably the right one from the options listed, but Malik Willis in the other obvious contender. I don’t care what contract you have, if you’ve only started 6 games you are not proven in the nfl and can still break out.

Malik Washington will doubtless get career highs, but those touches need to be much more impactful for it to matter. It would be great if Jonah is in contention to be considered a break out guy, and I don’t see Wease making the roster.

Paul is not a break out candidate. He broke out last year as one of the best young starters at his position in the league. The write up sounds a bit weird as it seems to suggest his current roster position is under threat which it clearly isn’t. I think James means he needs maintain or build to get the big extension he’s eligible for after this season.

Phoenix6 sees a fairly decent year ahead for Dulcich.

Malik Washington – he will get many touches.

He will also drop many to u ches.

Jonah Savaiinaea – has nowhere to go but up after he was pushed around like a beach ball.

Theo Wease, Jr. – will play to stay on the practice sq u ad.

Patrick Paul – will turn into a blocking rock.

*Greg Dulcich – 17 starts, 120Tgts/86Rec/71.7%, 880Yds/10.3y/r,...
