Seahawks vs. Cardinals 2nd Quarter game thread: Scoreless in Seattle after overturned touchdown

No points on the board for either the Seahawks or Cardinals to get things rolling.

The Seattle Seahawks thought they had a fumble return touchdown when Leonard Williams hit Kyler Murray as he was in his throwing motion. Rookie linebacker Tyrice Knight scooped and scored, but the officials overturned the call.

It’s 0-0 at the end of the opening quarter.

Giants’ Brian Daboll reacts to embarrassing loss to Buccaneers

Perhaps Daniel Jones enjoyed it. Baker Mayfield sure did. And after the embarrassing loss to the Buccaneers, New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll reacted, according to a post on X by Art Stapleton.

Brian Daboll: “Tough game. Give Tampa credit — they did (everything) better than we did today.”

Baker Mayfield scored one of Tampa Bay’s four rushing touchdowns as the Buccaneers beat the Giants, 30-7. The win ended a four-game losing streak for Tampa Bay and extended the Giants’ losing skid to six games.

Scary Moment As Commanders RB Austin Ekeler Laid Motionless After Being Knocked Completely Unconscious Against The Cowboys

Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler had a frightening moment against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys beat Washington, 34-26, on Sunday, handing the Commanders their third consecutive defeat. However, there was a small chance for the Commanders to get something done at the end of the game.

Austin Ekeler suffered an apparent injury in the club’s Week 12 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Ekeler was running the ball back on a kickoff when he got tackled and thrown face-first to the ground.

He would not move from the position that he was tackled in. It was obvious that Ekeler...

Bad beat: Commanders lose to Cowboys after missed extra point spoils incredible near-comeback

Bad beat: Commanders lose to Cowboys after missed extra point spoils incredible near-comeback

The Washington Commanders lost to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday in a way that didn’t have to be as heartbreaking as it turned out to be.

Washington was well on its way to an upset loss about midway through the fourth quarter when KaVontae Turpin returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown to put Dallas ahead 27-17. Then, the Commanders decided to give their home crowd some hope, and it did not end well.

They scored twice in the final two minutes, including this incredible 86-yarder to Terry McLaurin for what should have been the game-tying touchdown with 21...

Commanders’ Austin Ekeler briefly motionless after helmet-to-helmet hit

In what was a high-scoring fourth quarter, the Washington Commanders lost one of their running backs at the end of the game due to a helmet-to-helmet hit. On the kickoff return, Austin Ekeler returned the ball and took a hard hit from a Dallas Cowboys player.

Ekeler immediately hit the ground and laid motionless as players from both teams signaled that the medical team check him out. The game went to a commercial break, and minutes later, Ekeler was back up on his feet being helped by the medical team to get him to the sidelines.

5 winners, 3 losers from the Lions’ win against Colts

5 winners, 3 losers from the Lions’ win against Colts

In their victory against the Colts on Sunday, five Lions players stepped up and positively impacted the game, while three others struggled. Here are my winners and losers from the win.

The Detroit Lions took a short trip down to Indiana to play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, coming off a dismantling of the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. The Lions made their trip over to Indiana worth it, defeating the Colts 24-6.

It wasn’t a dominant victory for the Lions scoreboard-wise, but overall the Lions had control of the game once they took the lead in the second quarter. The...

3 things we learned from the Giants’ 30-7 loss to Tampa Bay

3 things we learned from the Giants’ 30-7 loss to Tampa Bay

Shades of 2021?

With Daniel Jones gone, Tommy DeVito (note to self: proofread to make sure you didn’t type ”Danny DeVito”) took over as the New York Giants’ starting quarterback against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This was a source of some excitement given the three games he won as a starter last season and Brian Daboll’s choice to elevate him over ostensible QB2 Drew Lock, but all in all would an undrafted free agent be just another brick in the wall of failed Giants’ quarterbacks? How would the rest of the team react to Jones’ departure? Here are some things...

Eagles get help from Cowboys beating the Commanders

Eagles get help from Cowboys beating the Commanders

Perfect outcome for the Birds.

The Philadelphia Eagles probably didn’t expect to get help from the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

The Cowboys entered their Week 12 matchup as 10.5-point road favorites against the Washington Commanders. Dallas was dealing with a bunch of injuries. Washington had a significant rest advantage since they were coming off a Thursday night mini-bye and the Cowboys were playing on short rest following Monday Night Football.

And yet ... the Cowboys went to FedEx Field and pulled off the upset! In a totally wacky and wild game where Dallas almost managed to blow it (multiple times)...

3 takeaways from the Chiefs’ 30-27 win over the Panthers

3 takeaways from the Chiefs’ 30-27 win over the Panthers

Making sense of what happened on the road against Carolina on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs survived a furious comeback by the Carolina Panthers to win 30-27 on Sunday.

Here are some initial takeaways.

Patrick Mahomes delivers in the clutch... yet again**.**

It had not been pretty on either side of the ball (and we’ll get to that), but the Chiefs had a 27-16 lead over the Panthers with 2:42 to go in the third quarter. For a moment, it felt like the club had finally found a way to win comfortably against an inferior opponent.

But that wasn’t...

Cowboys win in shocking 34-26 upset over Commanders in Week 12

Cowboys win in shocking 34-26 upset over Commanders in Week 12

For the first time since October 6th, the headlines will read “Cowboys win.” In one of the craziest games you will ever see, Dallas pulled off a 34-26 upset over the Washington Commanders. With this wild win, the Cowboys have snapped a 5-game losing streak.

That was seriously the weirdest NFL game I have seen. From the start to the finish, that was truly insane. We saw a slew of bizarre plays, turnovers, blocked kicks, a seemingly game-icing kickoff return touchdown, before a miracle touchdown and a missed extra point.

At times, it felt like both teams were competing to...

49ers-Packers live updates: There have been better starts to a football game

Green Bay marched down the field with ease to begin the game

The San Francisco 49ers won the toss and elected to defer. The Green Bay Packers gained 18 yards on the second play from scrimmage after Ji’Ayir Brown missed a tackle, allowing Josh Jacobs to run for a long gain. Jacobs found plenty of space two plays later for ten more yards.

On 3rd & 4, Love completed an out route to Jayden Reed, who created space against Renardo Green for a first down. Another nine-yard gain by Jacobs put the Packers inside the red zone after Fred Warner...
