‘Not In My Job Description, But I Think It’s a Great Opportunity:’ Aaron Rodgers Recalls Brett Favre in Mentorship of Young Steelers QBs

PITTSBURGH — When Aaron Rodgers was a young quarterback with the Green Bay Packers, Brett Favre was the established starter for the franchise. Rodgers, the team’s first-round pick, had to wait his turn, bide his time, and learn.

While Rodgers did learn, and eventually became every bit the successful starter that Favre had been and then some, it wasn’t thanks to much help from Favre.

Favre admitted that he didn’t see it as his role to help mentor Rogers as the Packers prepared for the younger quarterback to take over.

“I don’t know where the present starter like myself in...

Steelers offensive tackle Broderick Jones spoke to the media during OTAs Wednesday, providing some clarity — but not much — regarding a neck injury that’s made him limited to start the 2026 offseason.

“I really don’t have a timeline, they never gave me a timeline,” Jones said via the Pat McAfee show’s Mark Kaboly when asked about how he is progressing, “Just monitoring it day by day, and we go from there.”

Still, day by day sounds encouraging given Jones’ situation: He suffered a neck injury in Week 12 of 2025 that led to offseason spinal fusion surgery and [reported...

PITTSBURGH — After Mike Tomlin abruptly stepped down in January, Aaron Rodgers approached Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan and suggested he give Mike McCarthy a call “for an outside perspective” during the team’s head coaching search.

“Not thinking that he even would, honestly, just because of the way the league goes,” Rodgers said after Wednesday’s OTA practice at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. “But then when it became more serious, I was thinking, ‘Wow, that would be a really interesting thought to come back and play with Mike.'”

Months later, after plenty of conversations, a lot of time mulling...

Will Howard Takes High Road on Drew Allar Competition

At least from Howard’s perspective, there appears to be mutual respect rather than bitterness.
