A few lucky NFL players go out on their own terms, but many fizzle out of the league despite feeling like they still have what it takes to contribute. Former Pittsburgh Steelers DL Breiden Fehoko is among the latter, and he shared the exact moment he knew it was time to move on. “This is […]

Some may be buying into the Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy reunion for a storybook ending to the future Hall of Famer’s career, but what does history say about quarterbacks reuniting with their head coaches for a second act? Surprisingly, there aren’t many examples. The limited sample size paints a sobering picture. Pete Carroll + […]

Steelers fans have gotten through free agency and the NFL draft with new head coach Mike McCarthy and his staff. They’ve met the rookies and started OTAs. The Steelers published the summer training schedule for Latrobe. Before we know it, the regular season will be underway. Here is my perspective on the upcoming event schedule, […]

I’ve arrived at a new reality this Sunday morning. It’s not that I’ve ever cheered for one second against my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers or even the guy that plays quarterback for them. It’s that I need to fully embrace the quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, because this is his final season… Apparently.
Michael Silver of The Athletic, is encouraging all of us this week to “just enjoy Rodgers’ final ride.” The term ‘enjoy’ is an interesting choice. At times last year there were indeed moments of enjoyment from Rodgers but there were an equal amount “what the f*** are we doing?” moments...

It’s not easy playing offensive line in the NFL, moving backwards while blocking some of the NFL’s best athletes and pass rushers whose salary is directly tied to their ability to get after the quarterback. Stopping them has been Dylan Cook’s mission since switching from quarterback to offensive tackle in college, logging and impressing in […]

It’s early in the process for Mike McCarthy and his new staff, but the coaching dynamics at practice are already becoming apparent. McCarthy is an offensive coach, and much of his attention is being paid on that side of the ball. That leaves the defense almost entirely in the hands of defensive coordinator Patrick Graham. […]

Another run at the Aaron Rodgers experiment in Pittsburgh isn’t landing well with one ESPN analyst, who sees the move as part of a familiar cycle. “The definition of insanity is running it back with Aaron Rodgers and expecting different results,” Kevin Clark said via ESPN’s NFL Live Friday afternoon. “Last year he was 27th […]

In an era in which every team’s “base” defense includes five defensive backs, the 3-4 still matters to Steelers DC Patrick Graham. It’s a system Pittsburgh has run since the early 80s, mostly operating within a consistent lineage. Even though Graham is part of virtually an entirely new staff, he understands that lineage. But he […]

Mason Rudolph was always going to be in a tough predicament this offseason. With Will Howard knocking on the door, it would have been difficult for him to hold onto the backup job. When the Steelers drafted Drew Allar in the third round, things became even tougher. Finally, with Aaron Rodgers committing for the 2026 […]

There seems to be a major narrative about just about every Steelers draft pick this year—except for Daylen Everette. That’s a bit surprising, considering they used their second of three third-round draft picks to acquire him. Even sixth-round Gabriel Rubio has the distinction of being the guy nobody knew about with a killer ‘stache. But […]

After just two OTA practices open to the media, there’s already a narrative forming about the performances of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ two young developmental quarterbacks. Drew Allar is showing early struggles while Will Howard is already looking sharp. People have big thoughts about this (263 comments), and right or wrong, conclusions are already being made […]

The Steelers are past the point of “experimenting” with the flexibility of Troy Fautanu, Mark Kaboly believes. He’s the new left tackle. Steelers HC Mike McCarthy has talked about wanting to train his linemen that way, but this isn’t training. It’s the real deal, and perhaps his permanent position for the remainder of his career. […]
