A former wide receiver of the Pittsburgh Steelers is now looking for a new home in the NFL.

The Los Angeles Chargers are waiving former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick with an injury designation, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2.

Fitzpatrick, 25, spent most of the 2024 regular season on the Chargers’ practice squad after being released by the Steelers in early September. He made a case for himself on Pittsburgh’s 53-man roster last preseason, but the team decided to go with five wide receivers and kept Scotty Miller as the final receiver.

Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and Darius Slay made a simple pitch to general manager Omar Khan, and that’s to pay Cam Heyward what he deserves.
