Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III peeled back the curtain on what it’s like to play with four-time NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a recent interview with Tyler Dunne from Go Long
“With Aaron, he’s a Hall of Famer,” Austin said. “You’re going to have to do things how he wants.”
Of course, Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the game. He is also very detailed in what he wants from his receivers. He’s a self-described perfectionist.
Rodgers is not too keen on young receivers. That was made evident late last year...
Wide receiver was one of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ biggest weaknesses last year. DK Metcalf was their No. 1, but no one behind him stepped up. There was hope that a healthy Roman Wilson would contribute, but he had a disappointing season. He finished the year with only 12 catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns, […]

Of all the picks the Steelers made on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, Kaden Wetjen might have the best chance to make the 53-man roster. The Steelers selected him in the fourth round, filling a big need for both a kick and punt returner. He also does enough things offensively to potentially earn […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers have released defense tackle Jahvaree Ritzie for the 2026 season, the team announced on Tuesday. He was released to make way for veteran defensive tackle Dean Lowry on the team’s 90-man offseason roster.
Ritzie, 22, signed with the Steelers as a reserve/future contract in January and had taken part in the team’s rookie minicamp and the first week of OTAs before his release.
Ritzie was originally undrafted free agent out of North Carolina last spring, signing with the New England Patriots. He spent some time on the New England practice squad this year before being released.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed defensive lineman Dean Lowry to a one-year contract, the team announced on Tuesday.
Lowry almost signed with the team in late April but decided to take a little more time to work into playing shape. Lowry, 31, spent the last two seasons with the Steelers, but missed the entire 2025 campaign after suffering an ACL injury in training camp.
“During a training camp practice last week I sustained an ACL injury that will likely end my season,” Lowry wrote on social media a week after the injury. “Hard to comprehend the thoughts and emotions I...
The Steelers are officially signing veteran defensive lineman Dean Lowry, the team announced Tuesday.
Lowry was initially reported to be joining the team in April, but pulled out of the deal to continue getting back into football shape after suffering a torn ACL in 2025. Lowry was medically cleared but wanted more time. Now, it appears both he and the Steelers think he’s ready to return to football.

Over 15 years ago, Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy brought anguish to the hearts of Pittsburgh Steelers fans everywhere. Against the top rushing and scoring defense in the NFL, that duo helped tear in half the black and gold’s bid for a seventh Super Bowl title.
With Rodgers returning last week to reunite with McCarthy in the Steel City, ESPN’s Rich Eisen is envisioning the four-time Associated Press NFL MVP quarterback and the experienced head coach restoring what they took away from the city a decade and a half ago.
“It is just a fascinating story,” Eisen said last week...
Aaron Rodgers has said that this will be his final NFL season. That puts a little more pressure on the Pittsburgh Steelers to finally have some playoff success. They haven’t won a postseason game in almost 10 years, even though they haven’t had a losing season since 2003. Rodgers returned because he believes Pittsburgh can […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers upgraded one of their biggest weaknesses last season, their wide receivers, this offseason, trading for Michael Pittman Jr. and drafting Germie Bernard. Things got so bad that they added some veteran wideouts midway through the season. That included Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who signed with the Dallas Cowboys this offseason. Valdes-Scantling recently revealed that […]
