Mike Tomlin has been the Pittsburgh Steelers’ head coach since 2007, and he’s yet to end a season with a losing record. While Tomlin’s Steelers have had disappointing seasons, they have never hit rock bottom. That’s good, but it’s left some fans frustrated at Pittsburgh’s recent mediocrity. The Steelers haven’t won a playoff game since […]
Thanks to our daily Pittsburgh Steelers training camp charting, we can dive deep into Aaron Rodgers’ summer with the team. Though he’s the oldest active quarterback and the oldest player in franchise history, he hardly saw time off during the past three weeks. Of the team’s 14 practices, Rodgers received just one off-day (though another […]
The Pittsburgh Steelers are tied for the most Super Bowl victories by one NFL franchise. In the 1970s, they captured four championships, adding two more in the 2000s. However, it’s been almost 15 years since they last played in a Super Bowl. They haven’t even won a playoff game since the 2016 season. They made […]
The Pittsburgh Steelers don’t seem to have much of an appetite to give star defensive lineman and team captain Cameron Heyward what he’s asking for amid his hold-in, but cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and Darius Slay are comfortable applying pressure publicly for their new teammate. After being taken care of financially after a trade from the […]
The 2025 college football season hasn’t started yet, but that hasn’t stopped speculation about the 2026 NFL Draft. In a press conference on Thursday, the press asked Steelers assistant general manager Andy Weidl for his thoughts on the crop of quarterbacks in the ’26 draft. While it’s early, he seems impressed. “Early take. There are […]

Skylar Thompson likely doesn’t have a long-term future with the Steelers, but he may have a nice layover here. A former seventh-round pick, he has spent nearly his entire three-year career employed on 53-man rosters. Earmarked as the odd man out since he signed, an injury to Will Howard opens the door to potentially start […]
Jalen Ramsey is fine with Mike Tomlin telling Joey Porter Jr. that Ramsey is their top cornerback—because he knows his truth. It’s the same truth every cornerback should have for himself, the former All-Pro said on The Pivot podcast. Now nearly 31 and entering a new phase of his career, he wants to send a […]
Will Roman Wilson see extended playing time in the Steelers’ next preseason game? In the Steelers’ preseason opener, Roman Wilson barely played more snaps than he did as a rookie, so what next? Despite minimal opportunities, he did catch two passes on two targets and generally looked crisp. Given the reality that there is much […]
The Pittsburgh Steelers have now completed their 2025 training camp as of this week and play their second preseason game Saturday night at home. With that being the case, it’s time for me to throw out my second 53-man roster prediction for the team. As usual, I have included some analysis underneath each position group, […]
The Pittsburgh Steelers made waves on the final day of June when they acquired All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Miami Dolphins, sending their own All-Pro Minkah Fitzpatrick back to the team that drafted him back in 2019.
The Steelers made it evident from Day One of training camp that they planned to use Ramsey all over the field, playing him at nickel, on the boundary, and back at safety. That said, Mike Tomlin made it very clear that Ramsey is the top cornerback on the team.
Ahead of the Steelers’ joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tomlin was...
After years of playing his starters through the preseason no matter what, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin might be changing his tune about the preseason. Most of the team’s veteran starters won’t play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday for the second straight week, and Tomlin bas hinted that Aaron Rodgers might not play at all.
Alan Saunders and Julianne Pelusi break it down.
