The Pittsburgh Steelers have had a pretty strong offseason, undergoing significant change with the changing of the head coach, adding a number of new veterans to the fold, and changing the outlook of the franchise overall. Despite the changes, the Steelers are viewed as a team outside of the playoff picture, with virtually no chance […]

PITTSBURGH — As far as hold-ins go, Nick Herbig might have the record for the shortest duration.
Herbig reported to Pittsburgh Steelers minicamp on Tuesday, his first foray into the team’s offseason program after politely declining to take part in any of the voluntary portion.
He did not practice with his teammates, instead watching C.J. Ah You put the outside linebackers through drills, wearing a hat and holding his helmet.
Hours later, he had a new deal.
In terms of the contract, it’s a pretty straightforward one. Herbig gets $100 million over four years in a backloaded contract that has...

New Pittsburgh Steelers safety Darnell Savage Jr. will wear No. 31 for the black and gold. The veteran signed to a one-year deal with the club on Tuesday. The financial terms of the deal were not revealed.
Savage agreed to terms with the Steelers in March but did not officially sign until now. The reason for the delay has not been disclosed.
Savage played for three teams last year — two games for Jacksonville, eight games for Washington and two games for the Buffalo Bills. He also started 13 games for the Jaguars in 2024.
Savage spent the first five...
Even Mike McCarthy knows rostering four quarterbacks is impractical, but for now, he’s enjoying working with the Steelers’ quartet of passers. Joining Aaron Rodgers are two youngsters, Will Howard and Drew Allar, with longtime Steeler Mason Rudolph still plugging along. Halfway through the offseason program, McCarthy assessed his quarterback room and how it’s coming together. […]

Hey Steelers Fans. Welcome to Wednesday.
It wasn’t two hours before Nick Herbig said he wanted to be a “Steeler for life…” and then the door opened for it to happen. While Herbig’s extension will pay him handsomely, there’s no guarantee his next deal will keep him in Black and Gold. I say that simply because Herbig is just 24 years old and he’s certainly got another contract coming. The question is when. If he continues on his current trajectory then it could be just a couple of years before he’s asking for a new deal. This...

Pittsburgh Steelers OLB Nick Herbig is a $100 million man after agreeing to a four-year, $100 million deal with $42 million guaranteed on Tuesday. With a new contract in store, Herbig could see increased opportunities this season, with Mike DeFabo of The Athletic saying on The DVE Morning Show on 102.5 WDVE that new defensive […]

Joey Porter Jr. had no say in a new coaching staff after Mike Tomlin’s resignation, but he’s embracing the positives. Though he is currently on the sidelines amid his contract situation, he is in the classroom. He is learning the new defense—and also learning how the new coaches want to deploy their cornerbacks. While Porter […]

With over $71 million of base salaries tied up in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ top three outside linebackers in 2026, it’s fair to question how possible it is to maximize those lofty investments. Maybe the plan isn’t to have all three by the start of the 2026 season. Could a trade involving Alex Highsmith be on […]

Cam Heyward’s never directly went up against Myles Garrett, which may be why he “could care less” that the former Cleveland Browns pass rusher is no longer in the division. On his Not Just Football podcast, Heyward reacted to the Browns trading Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams. “I think Aaron [Rodgers]’s definitely happy to […]

PITTSBURGH — Rookie Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Drew Allar was one year old when Aaron Rodgers made his NFL debut.
When the Steelers drafted Allar in the third round in late April, it wasn’t yet clear whether he and Rodgers would be teammates.
But, soon enough, the Steelers re-signed Rodgers, meaning Allar would get to learn from one of the best in NFL history.
In Allar’s first interview since Rodgers re-signed, he admitted it was a surreal moment when he got to meet the legend.
The first question Rodgers asked Allar might not be what one would expect.
“The first question...
Second-year Steelers RB Kaleb Johnson may be down after last season, but he refuses to be out for the count. Suffice it to say his rookie year did not go as anybody envisioned, but he’s ready for a new chapter. He knows he has his work cut out for him, and a new depth chart […]
