The San Francisco 49ers (4-1) beat the Los Angeles Rams (3-2) by a final score of 26-23 on Thursday Night Football when Kyren Williams was stopped on a fourth and short in overtime, but before that sequence, Williams fumbled on the goal line to give SF life, instead of scoring what could’ve functionally been a game winning touchdown.
The Rams played a horrible game, and still had a chance to win, but they played a horrible game and they got the outcome that usually happens when you play a horrible a game. A loss.
It was a statement win for...
The Los Angeles Rams trail the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 17-7 after the first half of play and S.F. has mostly dominated this game.
The Rams came out flat to start the game as Mac Jones’ opening drive was a pristine one ending with a wide-open touchdown throw to the endzone as S.F. took a 7-0 lead after the extra point.
L.A.’s lackluster start carried throughout the first quarter and if you didn’t know the 49ers were playing without their top receivers, you wouldn’t have known because the 49er’s backups beat up on the Rams starters.
No...
The Los Angeles Rams (3-1) host the San Francisco 49ers (3-1) on Thursday Night Football with a 8:15 ET kickoff, and if you don’t know how to see the game, check our how to watch guide! We hope you’ll join us in the comments below and of course we welcome Rams’ fans, BUT we also welcome ALL fans!
It’s the 0nly NFL game on, why watch it alone?
The 49ers are about as banged up a team can be, and they are still 3-1. It’s impressive, and because of how impressive it’s been there should be some out there who...
The Los Angeles Rams (3-1) will play their first divisional game of 2025 when they square off with their in-state rivals, the San Francisco 49ers (3-1) on Thursday Night Football. This will only be LA’s second conference game yet it looms large having suffered a loss in Week 3 to Philadelphia. In analyzing both teams, LA enters as the home favorite and with stars on both sides of the ball. San Francisco still has the capability of keeping up but they will have to prove themselves with injuries across their roster. Who’s got the matchup edge position by position? Here’s...
The Los Angeles Rams will face the San Francisco 49ers on a short week on Thursday Night Football. Coming into this one, the 49ers will be short-handed without Brock Purdy and Ricky Pearsall, but division games are always more difficult than they appear. The Rams certainly can’t overlook the 49ers and take them lightly or they’ll be in trouble. Here are five keys to victory for the Rams against the 49ers.
For the Rams to win this game, they are going to need to find ways to get to Mac Jones. Utilizing blitzes...
Over the past few seasons, the Los Angeles Rams have dominated the draft, finding players like Jared Verse, Kobie Turner, and Puka Nacua among others. These are all players that the Rams will be able to build around moving forward.
While the Rams have experienced a lot of immediate production from draft classes in recent years, that hasn’t been the case with the 2025 class. As I wrote prior to the draft,
“This is no longer a team building a roster, but rather one trying to supplement a roster. To be clear, this isn’t to say that the Rams...
Focusing too intently on your weaknesses during the offseason can easily lead you down an ill-advised path.
The San Francisco 49ers knew they had to improve this offseason in the run defense department, especially after releasing veteran defensive tackle Javon Hargrave. They reunited with former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh and asked him to take up his old mantle as defensive coordinator. In the draft, they went defensive early and keyed in on players with run stuffing ability.
So far these investments have paid minimal dividends, unlike the 2023 draft class for the Los Angeles Rams that turned...
The San Francisco 49ers are coming into this game wounded, and without some of their star players and key starters, so how can the Los Angeles Rams lose? Well, that’s what I am asking: How can the Rams lose tonight!?!?!
I have some theories in my final score post (spoiler: I am picking the Rams to win), so feel free to check out or stay here and let us know in the comments! Talk about the game before the game, check out the other posts and articles today and comment there too! Show Turf Show Times some love today, it’s...
The Los Angeles Rams (3-1) welcome the San Francisco 49ers (3-1) in Week 5 of the NFL season on Thursday Night Football; what are your final score predictions?
I’ll be taking the Rams 24-15.
By most accounts the Rams are expected to win this one as the 49ers are depleted and coming off a defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars, while L.A. rebounded from a tough Week 3 loss with a nice win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4.
The 49ers can win. Read that again.
San Francico’s remedy to the Rams relies on their coaching. How many times have...
The Los Angeles Rams are listing two offensive starters as doubtful to play against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football, possibly opening the door for some others to prove worthy of more opportunities in the future. The Rams are probably going to be without tight end Tyler Higbee and right tackle Rob Havenstein, as players listed as doubtful have a 95% chance of not being active. That’s all but guaranteeing that Matthew Stafford won’t have his top tight end or right side protector on Thursday against the 49ers.
With Higbee most likely out of the game, rookie tight...
If the Los Angeles Rams have any interest in trading for quarterback Anthony Richardson, or if the Colts backup has any interest in heading west to play for Sean McVay, then that information would still be considered privileged because rumors of a connection that started on Wednesday are purely speculative. But there are rumors because ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler wrote that he could “sense” that Richardson would be open to playing for a coach “such as” Sean McVay. Not that either side is actually known to be interested.
Outside of that, there’s not a clear-cut need for teams, barring injury....
Kyren Williams was the most-used back in 2024, playing in over 81% of the team’s snaps. Surprisingly, this was actually a decrease from his usage in 2023. While Williams has earned those carries by finishing in the top 10 for rushing yards the last two seasons, there’s no way around the fact that wear and tear of that much output could potentially add up quickly. However, LA may not have to worry about that in 2025 with the emergence of second-year running back Blake Corum.
Over the past two weeks, Corum has seen an uptick in usage and has been...
