Patriots Newcomer Makes Projected 2025 All-Rookie Team

The New England Patriots’ wide receiver room is one that many people don’t expect much from. They brought in veteran receiver Stefon Diggs, but outside of him, the other players are young and haven’t had a chance to prove themselves in the league.

But, hopes are high for one receiver that people are expecting a lot from this season.

NFL.com’s Gennaro Filice listed 11 newcomers that he thinks have a chance to make the 2025 NFL All-Rookie Team. And one of them is Kyle Williams, who was selected by the Patriots in the third round with the 69th overall pick....

Patriots Sign Fourth-Round Safety Craig Woodson

Patriots Sign Fourth-Round Safety Craig Woodson

The New England Patriots have officially signed fourth-round draft pick safety Craig Woodson to his rookie contract, the team announced on Friday.

This now leaves second-round running back TreVeyon Henderson as the only 2025 draft pick not to sign.

A 6-foot, 200-pound safety out of California, Woodson played in 46 games with 40 starts across his college career and was a contributor on special teams. This past season, he finished with 70 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, two INTs and seven PBUs across 13 games.

And he’s made a strong impression on one veteran safety on the Patriots roster.

“I like him...

Patriots Gaining Quiet Hype As Playoff Sleeper Led By Mike Vrabel, Drake Maye

Patriots Gaining Quiet Hype As Playoff Sleeper Led By Mike Vrabel, Drake Maye

Could the New England Patriots go from a four-win team to a playoff candidate in just one year? Sports Illustrated’s Gilberto Manzano certainly seems to think so.

The hiring of Mike Vrabel was a pivotal move that changed the tone surrounding the Patriots, with many expecting Drake Maye to make a significant leap in his second year.

“Maye went from making the most of a bad situation as a rookie to having a strong supporting cast for Year 2,” Manzano wrote. “The Patriots still have to deal with the mighty (Buffalo) Bills in the AFC East, but this could be...

The Patriots are one step closer to signing their 2025 draft class.

Safety Craig Woodson, a fourth-round selection in this year’s NFL Draft, has signed his rookie contract with the New England Patriots. The team announced the news on Friday.

A versatile presence in the Golden Bears’ secondary as well as a regular on special teams, he was a two-time honorable All-Pac 12 selection and third-team All-ACC selection...

Patriots Fans (And Drake Maye) Won’t Appreciate PFF’s WR Rankings

Patriots Fans (And Drake Maye) Won’t Appreciate PFF’s WR Rankings

The New England Patriots are inspiring optimism entering the 2025 season, but Pro Football Focus apparently isn’t enamored with their wide receivers.

New England renovated its receiving room by adding Stefon Diggs and Kyle Williams. They’ll join DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, and Ja’Lynn Polk in an offense that ranked last in passing last season.

Earlier this week, PFF’s Trevor Sikkema ranked each NFL team’s wide receiving corps for 2025. The Patriots placed 31st, only slotting ahead of the Cleveland Browns.

“It’s almost a completely new group of receiving weapons in New England, making it difficult to truly assess the state...

Top Patriots Rookie Already Worried About ‘Money’ — But In A Good Way

In most cases, fans wouldn’t want rookies focusing on money before they even play their first game. But Kyle Williams will get a pass this time.

The first-year receiver, selected 69th by the Patriots in the 2025 NFL Draft, knows he must catch the ball to earn playing time in New England. And Williams has a humorous way of approaching potential drops.

“My mindset is, don’t drop the money,” Williams told WEEI’s Meghan Ottolini after volunteering at a Boston football clinic on Thursday. “Every time the ball is there, it’s a bag of money. We can’t let that hit the...

Why Adam Schefter Confident In Patriots: ‘Arrow Pointing Up’

Why Adam Schefter Confident In Patriots: ‘Arrow Pointing Up’

CROMWELL, Conn. — Adam Schefter is confident in the New England Patriots.

But Schefter’s belief isn’t strictly rooted in new head coach Mike Vrabel, nor offseason additions like well-paid defensive tackle Milton Williams, nor the potential of second-year quarterback Drake Maye. Schefter’s optimism is because all of the above.

“I think the arrow is pointing up,” Schefter told NESN.com at the Travelers Championship on Thursday. “I think Mike Vrabel is going to do a great job. They added a lot of good talent. Josh McDaniels is back. This team, with the quarterback it has, has an upward trajectory.”

Schefter was...

Patriots Rookie Dishes On Celtics Visit — ‘Going For A 10-Day Contract’

The New England Patriots made several moves in an effort to beef up their offense this offseason. One of those moves saw the front office select wide receiver Kyle Williams in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Williams starred in college over the past two seasons with the Washington State Cougars. In 2024, he caught 70 passes for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns, with the latter two figures both being tops among qualified pass catchers from independent Division I schools.

New England’s selection of Williams with the No. 69 overall pick has been lauded as one of the...

Drake Maye Takes Hilarious Jab At Josh McDaniels In New Clip

The New England Patriots underwent a lot of changes this offseason in an effort to make life easier for second-year quarterback Drake Maye. Perhaps one of the most important changes came on the coaching staff, with Josh McDaniels being brought back to town to be the Patriots new offensive coordinator.

While New England’s offense was not particularly good in 2024, Maye showed promise under Alex Van Pelt, who worked as the offensive coordinator on former head coach Jerod Mayo’s staff. With Mike Vrabel taking over as the team’s head coach, he opted to bring McDaniels along for the ride.

Easily...
