Hello CSR! We’re finally to the last week of the 2025 preseason, as the Panthers do their semi-regular dance with the Pittsburgh Steelers to close out the preseason. It sounds like the Panthers will not be playing a ton of their starters this week on either side of the ball, despite a pretty hard to watch showing against the Houston Texans last week. Still, there’s plenty we can glean from the parts of the defense that do play, as we examine the back end of the roster this week. Let’s dive in.
The safety...
Hello CSR! We’re just 18 days away from the Panthers regular season opener. That means today, we’re taking a deeper dive into number 18 on the roster: everybody’s favorite UDFA wide receiver Jalen Coker!
Jalen Coker entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2024 out of Holy Cross, albeit one that garnered a bit of attention and one the Panthers signed to a lucrative UDFA deal. Still, he did not end up making the final 53 man roster cut, as the Panthers waived him. They ended up bringing him back to the practice squad after he cleared waivers,...
Hello CSR! Welcome to Brian Asks, part one of your weekly Panthers fan mailbag for everyone! After two decidedly disappointing preseason games, we’re off to our annual dance with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the Panthers will try to shake off some rust and end the preseason on a high note. We’re here to answer all your questions ahead of the end of the preseason, so comment down below with your questions! Ask me about last week, this week, potential trades you’d like to see, or even something completely off topic! I’m always here for the food questions!
You all know...
Hello CSR! We’re 19 days away from the start of the Panthers’ 2025 regular season, which means we’re going to take some time to highlight #19 on the roster: wide receiver Adam Thielen!
Thielen entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent for the Minnesota Vikings in 2013, where he carved out quite a career as one of the best UDFAs to ever do it. He played from 2014 all the way to 2022 with Minnesota, but then was released in 2023 to clear some cap space. That opened the door for his arrival in Carolina, becoming rookie QB Bryce...

The Carolina Panthers are 0-2 in the preseason. We try not to care about records and stats overmuch in the preseason as plenty of veterans are only playing half speed and the new guys are all playing at 110% trying to make the roster. It makes for weird football that we have to judge more off of vibes than numbers. That said, it’s OK to be alarmed when the vibes and the numbers are equally bad.
This Thursday, August 21st, the Panthers host the Pittsburgh Steelers for their final preseason game. Two weeks later, they open their regular season on...
The Carolina Panthers visited the Houston Texans in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL Preseason. Unlike last year, the Panthers starters did actually see some live reps in the game, with the offense out there for two drives. Let’s take a closer look at how the players looked from a fantasy perspective.
Bryce was only on the field for seven offensive snaps. In this extremely limited sample size, there was some good and some not so good. The not so good for my money was the interception he threw on a free play due to...
There are 20 days left until the start of the Carolina Panthers 2025 schedule, so today’s countdown piece is about number 20 in your program, safety Jack Henderson.
Before the Panthers
If you aren’t familiar with the name Jack Henderson it’s because he was among the undrafted rookie free agents the Panthers signed after this year’s NFL Draft.
Henderson began his college career at Southeastern Louisiana and spent three seasons there. Between 2020 and 2022 he appeared in 33 games with 163 tackles, 13 pass breakups, and six interceptions. He was named First Team All-Southland Conference in 2022 after registering...
The 2025 season is right around the corner. As of today, there are exactly three weeks until kickoff. That’s 21 days, which means today’s countdown piece belongs to safety Nick Scott, who wears the 21 jersey for the black and blue.
Scott joined the Panthers in the spring of 2024 after spending the 2023 season with the Cincinnati Bengals. Prior to that, he spent four years on the Rams, three of which he played under now Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero.
Scott didn’t have a great first season with the Panthers, and as a free agent signing, that immediately put...
The Panthers had another preseason game, one where the starters once again didn’t play much and their depth showed it needs a lot of work. Let’s dive in!
Both QBs started with a 3 and out for this preseason game. Second drive the offense once again sputters with a Bryce Young sack. With the short field, the Texans pushed it into a goal line situation, but the Panthers defense held up for 4th down and goal. However, CJ Stroud had other plans as he hit Nico Collins on a flat route for a touchdown, giving the Texans...
The 2025 Carolina Panthers are set to continue their preseason campaign against the Houston Texans.
This is your open thread to follow along with all the action tonight.

Hello CSR! Welcome to Brian Answers, part two of your weekly Panthers fan mailbag for everyone! We got a lot of questions about Corey Thornton, Jalen Coker, and just general preseason roster questions. Its one on the best times of the year! As a recap, this is where I answer all YOUR questions from earlier in the week. I highlight those questions and some of the comments I enjoyed along the way. Let’s dive right in!!
@WTMealey: Thorton-just a preseason MVP or UDFA gold? Is he the CB equivalent of Coker? Give them each a Madden score
I actually am...
