Greetings, Panthers fans. Welcome to the weekend.
Feel free to use this thread to chat about (almost) anything you want: video games, food, movies, non-football sports, you name it. As long as it’s allowed by the site’s ToS, it’s fair game here.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Carolina Panthers have agreed with Taylor Moton on a two year extension. It’s worth $44 million with almost all of it guaranteed.
Moton’s deal was set to expire after this coming season, but this new contract locks in him for a couple more years. He’s been as steady as they come on the right side and his play hasn’t deteriorated at all as he’s entered his 30s. He missed three games last season, which were the first snaps (yes snaps, not games) that he had missed since he took over the starting right tackle...
The Carolina Panthers have finished the preseason winless once again. And by once again, I mean for just the third time since 2009. We’ve mad hay about coincidences between 2025, 2015, and 2003, but we’re going to have a far harder time drawing comparisons between 2025, 2023, and 2009. The fact is that preseason results don’t have a lot of correlation with regular season successes. With that in mind, let’s talk about the Panthers odds to make the playoffs.
**FanDuel Sportsbook have the Panthers at +260 to make the playoffs and +10,000 to win Super Bowl LX, the 26th best...
The preseason has come and gone and with it are the opportunities for players to jump out in live game action. We didn’t get any true preseason stars this season, so the decisions for the final roster spots are going to come down to needs and what players showed during camp. A lot of the spots are pretty much set, but there are still decisions to be made.
Bryce Young, Andy Dalton
Nothing to see here. The Panthers will likely only carry two quarterbacks most games and will elevate either Jack Plummer or Bryce Perkins for...
Hello CSR! Happy Friday! We’re continuing our countdown to the start of the Carolina Panthers 2025 season opener, and that means we’ll highlight number 16 on the roster: quarterback Jack Plummer.
Jack Plummer (no relation to Jake Plummer) joined the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville in the 2024 Offseason. He served as an extra arm during that Offseason, played in their preseason games, and ended up being added to the practice squad after being waived during 53 man roster cuts.
Plummer returned to the Panthers again this off-season, serving as the de facto 3rd QB behind...
The Carolina Panthers lost to the Steelers, but the most important thing is that no one got hurt.
The Panthers started the game on defense and rookie safety Lathan Ransom immediately became a main character. He extended the drive with a hold on tight end Pat Freiermuth but bounced back with a couple of nice tackles in run support. The defense eventually got off the field thanks to a nice tackle in space by Shemar Bartholomew on Freiermuth. On offense, Trevor Etienne broke through tackles and bobbed and weaved for a 28 yards on the first offensive...
The 2025 Carolina Panthers are set to finish their preseason at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight. Starters are not expected to play, so this game will be a big tryout session for the guys still trying to make the—or a—roster.
This is your open thread to follow along with all the action tonight.

With the last preseason game of the season comes the last chance for every player sitting on their roster bubble to strain and fight for a spot on a 53-man roster, be it the Carolina Panthers or any of the other 31 teams in the NFL. With Dave Canales announcing that most starters will not be playing against the Steelers on Thursday, the spotlight is now directed at the back end of the roster. For many, it’s a now or never after a lackluster showing versus the Houston Texans last week. With this week’s edition of players to watch, it’s...
The Carolina Panthers are starting out the 2025 season as one of every analyst and sportsbook’s favorite teams to predict. What makes them such a darling around the nation is that it doesn’t take much effort to predict them doing poorly. Despite the tea leaves and portents all predicting a Super Bowl run this year for our favorite franchise, most folks think that a very small step forward is about as probable as a similar step backwards.
FanDuel Sportsbook has set the Panthers over/under for winning 5.5 games at -210/+175.
That means their odds favor the Panthers winning six or...
We’re 17 Days away from the Carolina Panthers 2025 regular season opener! That means we’re breaking down #17 on the roster: wide receiver Xavier Legette!
Xavier Legette joined the Panthers as a first round pick out of South Carolina in 2024, one the Panthers traded up to acquire since they didn’t have, you know, a first round pick. Still, Legette was someone heavily linked to the Panthers all throughout the off-season, so the team chose to move up from the 33rd overall pick to get him with the last pick of the first round, locking in the ever advantageous first...
The Carolina Panthers are suffering through another traditionally disappointing preseason. This has been the reality for most of the team’s preseasons, regardless of their ultimate successes or failures in the ensuing regular seasons. That said, it’s difficult to maintain optimism when these lackluster preseason perfomances match the regular season disappointments that have become all to familiar on the Panthers current streak of seven consecutive losing seasons.
Bryce Young’s performance against playoff and Super Bowl teams down the stretch of the 2024 season combined with well received free agency and draft results led to 93% of fans being confident in the...
We have reached the annual Carolina Panthers vs Pittsburgh Steelers preseason game. It is a beacon of the transition from the preseason to the regular season. It’s a game in which no one of any consequence plays significant snaps, but we all watch most of it because it’s football and it’s the last bit of Panthers football that we’re going to get for two weeks.
The Panthers offense hasn’t looked all that sharp in the first two preseason games aside from one drive against the Browns. Even with that being the case, Dave Canales has already signaled that the team...
