Good morning Gang Green Nation!
The New York Jets have benched quarterback Justin Fields in favor of veteran Tyrod Taylor. The Jets were reportedly ready to make this move earlier this season, but Taylor injured his knee and Fields remained as starting quarterback. Now it appears Fields’ time as the starter is done, at least for the time being. With Taylor’s extensive injury history, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Fields back before the season is over. Undrafted rookie Brady Cook could also be in the mix for evaluation as another lost season winds down.

Monday Night Football, Week 11. Tonight the Las Vegas Raiders host the Dallas Cowboys. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 8:15 p.m. EST.
The Raiders come into this game with a 2-7 record, good for last place in the AFC West. They have lost three straight games and seven of their last eight. The Raiders’ only win in their last eight games came against the lowly Tennessee Titans. Geno Smith has had a down year and the running game has been among the worst in the NFL, making for a woeful Raiders offense. There’s not much reason for hope...

After starting the season 2-8, the New York Jets and head coach Aaron Glenn are making a meaningful change. Going forward, the new starting quarterback of the NY Jets will no longer be Justin Fields. Instead, the Jets will turn to veteran Tyrod Taylor to finish the season for New York, per Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
Justin Fields had a 2-7 record as the starter for the NY Jets after the team gave him a two-year, $40 million contract in the offseason.
Just a few weeks ago, SNY’s Connor Hughes reported that multiple players on the team spoke about...

The New York Jets are making a change at quarterback. Tyrod Taylor will get the start Week 12 when the Jets face the Baltimore Ravens.
This is no surprise. We have reached a point where the Jets just could not continue to roll Fields out there.
The Jets signed Fields from Pittsburgh hoping he could channel his physical ability and become a more consistent player than he was in his first four seasons. Instead he has regressed. Fields is having his worst season since his rookie year, and it’s arguably the worst of his career. He seemed on the verge...

The Patriots scored a critical touchdown against the Jets in their Week 11 win just about halfway through the third quarter. The touchdown came as the result of some pretty clear miscommunication.
It came on a second and five from the Jets’ six yard line.
Jarvis Brownlee Jr. initially lines up on the left side of the defensive/right side of the offensive formation.
The Patriots, however, line up two receivers to the other side of the formation. Brandon Stephens is the only corner on that side so Brownlee ends up needing to hurry to the other side.
As Brownlee arrives,...

The New York Jets lost in Week 11 to the New England Patriots. In a lost season, fans frequently look to positioning in the NFL Draft as a silver lining when a team loses a game. The Jets entered Week 11 holding the fifth slot in the Draft. As we approach Monday Night Football, the Jets remain in that fifth slot.

Good morning Gang Green Nation!
The New York Jets will be going on the road this week to face a tough Baltimore Ravens team. This may be a bad time to take on the Ravens. After being one of the worst defensive teams in the NFL over their first five games this season, the Ravens have completely turned things around. The Ravens have allowed 20 points or less in each of their last five games. An inept Jets offense will have its hands full this week. Throw in the All-World Lamar Jackson to contend with and this game could get...

The New York Jets saw their modest two game winning streak halted last Thursday when they were dismantled by a clearly superior New England Patriots team, 27 – 14. The Jets put together an impressive opening drive to take an early 7 – 0 lead. After that it was all Patriots. By midway through the second quarter the Patriots were leading 14 – 7. The Jets kept the game reasonably within reach thereafter, but they never really threatened to overtake the Patriots at any point in the second half. The Patriots did what they had to do to complete a...

Sunday Night Football, Week 11. Tonight the Philadelphia Eagles host the Detroit Lions. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 8:15 p.m. EST.
The Detroit Lions come into this game with a 6-3 record, good for 2nd place in the NFC North, half a game behind the Chicago Bears. The Lions are coming off a 44 – 22 domination of the Washington Commanders last week, but they have lost two of their last four games.
The Eagles come into this game with a 7-2 record, good for 1st place in the NFC East. The Eagles have won three straight games....

We have a rare Sunday afternoon with no Jets football. That is because the Jets unfortunately played on Thursday Night Football and lost to the New England Patriots. The loss dropped New York’s record to 2-8 and ended a two game winning streak.
The early slate today is anchored by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visiting the Buffalo Bills. The game has major AFC East implications. The Bills can’t afford to fall any further behind New England. Additionally, in the early timeslot we have the Bengals visiting the Steelers, the Chargers visiting the Jaguars, the Bears visiting the Vikings, the Packers...

Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was reportedly shot in the abdomen overnight in midtown Manhattan, according to the New York Post. He is in critical condition at Bellevue Hospital.
The Post says that police did not confirm that Boyd was the victim in the shooting, but that the Post had been able to independently confirm through sources that it was, unfortunately, Boyd.
According to reports, the shooting occurred after a dispute outside of a Manhattan restaurant, which ended with a gunman firing two shots at Boyd. His condition is critical, but he is reportedly stable.
Obviously, the most important thing here...
