Giants hope Skattebo adds playmaking at running back

Cam Skattebo is already turning heads before taking a single NFL snap.

In a recent feature on the top rookie running back sleepers from the 2025 class, DraftWire named Skattebo a sleeper to watch among rookie running backs. The Arizona State bruiser was selected 105th overall by the New York Giants.

DraftWire’s Scott DiBenedetto wrote:

The Giants struck gold in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft with Tyrone Tracy. He rushed for 839 yards and five touchdowns while adding 38 catches, 284 yards, and a receiving score. They’re hoping...

New York Giants’ Jaxson Dart in most favorable position among rookie QBs?

New York Giants’ Jaxson Dart in most favorable position among rookie QBs?

PFF thinks Giants’ rookie has landed in excellent situation

The New York Giants may have walked away with the biggest rookie quarterback win of the 2025 NFL Draft not just because of Jaxson Dart’s arm talent, but because of the system he’s walking into.

According to Pro Football Focus, the Giants offer the most favorable landing spot of any rookie quarterback this year. Dart, who dominated college defenses at Ole Miss and led the nation in passing grade last season, enters a franchise with a plan and more importantly, patience.

New York Giants find themselves involved in another ‘Hard Knocks’ edition

In season edition will feature all four NFC East teams

For the second year in a row, the New York Giants are going to find themselves at the center of a ‘Hard Knocks’ production.

HBO and NFL Films announced on Wednesday that there will be two upcoming editions of ‘Hard Knocks’.

The Giants, Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles will be featured in ‘Hard Knocks: In season with the NFC East’. That show will debut in December. It will follow the four teams “during the final stretch of the NFL season and into the playoffs.”

Tush push will remain as proposed ban falls short

Tush push will remain as proposed ban falls short

The play will stay in 2025

NFL owners voted on Wednesday to keep the tush push, the quarterback sneak on steroids used so successfully the past couple of seasons by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Green Bay Packers had sponsored a resolution to ban the play. The final vote was 22-10, two votes short of the 24 need to ban the play.

Since they began using the play in 2022, the Eagles had a success rate of 86% with it. The rest of the league was at 76%.

The Eagles took to social media to both troll the Packers and celebrate...

Better or worse in 2025? New York Giants tight ends

This group has the potential to be better, if Theo Johnson ascends

During the Joe Schoen-Brian Daboll years, the New York Giants have completely remade their tight end group. Let’s look at the tight ends as we keep rolling through our position-by-position “better or worse” series.

Key additions: Thomas Fidone II
Key losses: None
Roster: Theo Johnson, Chris Manhertz, Daniel Bellinger, Thomas Fidone II, Greg Dulcich, Jermaine Terry II

Why they could be better

Johnson, a 2024 fourth-round pick, was beginning to show the ability to be a difference-making pass catcher when his Lisfranc injury knocked him out for...

Just how good was Malik Nabers in 2024?

Just how good was Malik Nabers in 2024?

And what does he have to do to get even better in 2025?

You may be among those who feel that New York GIants’ GM Joe Schoen made a mistake not taking a quarterback with the No. 6 draft pick in 2024. Perhaps the well-executed (in the sense of assets surrendered) trade-up to get Jaxson Dart has temporarily put those misgivings to rest.

It’s not exactly news, though, to say that the player they did draft in 2024, Malik Nabers, had a great rookie season. The question for this post is: How good exactly was Nabers’ 2024, and what does...

2008 re-draft gives New York Giants a pass rusher instead of Kadarius Toney

2008 re-draft gives New York Giants a pass rusher instead of Kadarius Toney

Four years later, a new look at the 2021 NFL Draft has the Giants making a smarter, safer pick — and one that addresses a major weakness at the time

In a new 2021 NFL redraft by Pro Football Network, the New York Giants swap out wide receiver Kadarius Toney for edge rusher Gregory Rousseau with the 20th overall pick. And frankly, it’s hard to argue with that revision.

The Giants attempted to make a splashy move in 2021 by trading back from pick No. 11 to No. 20 and selecting Toney. While the trade haul (which eventually helped them...

Giants Reacts Survey: Which young veteran will take the next step?

Giants Reacts Survey: Which young veteran will take the next step?

Who is going to take a step forward in 2025?

Projections for the the New York Giants’ 2025 season are pessimistic as of right now, though for good reason. The Giants haven’t shown that they’re able to be consistently competitive with the better teams in the NFL. But the flip side of that is that they’ve had tremendous roster turnover over the last couple years and fielded the fourth youngest roster in the NFL last year — even with Graham Gano.

A significant portion of the Giants’ roster are young players who are veterans on the cusp of their “prime”...

Better or worse? New York Giants offensive line

Better or worse? New York Giants offensive line

Could the Giants finally get a full season of competent play from a unit that has been a perennial problem?

The New York Giants have struggled for so long to put together a competent offensive line, and complaining about how awful the line is has become so ingrained into Giants’ fanhood that it is difficult to recognize viable offensive line play when it happens.

Maybe you blinked and missed it last season. Maybe you just didn’t recognize it when you saw it. For a while in 2024, though, the Giants had adequate offensive line play. Then, poof! In the blink...

PFF ranks Malik Nabers among NFL’s top 25 players under 25

Nabers is only Giant to make the list

In Pro Football Focus’s latest ranking of the NFL’s top 25 players under 25, wide receiver Malik Nabers comes in at No. 15. He is the only New York Giant on the list and a rising star who’s already changing the face of the franchise.

The list features dominant young talents. But Nabers holds his own with an 87.0 PFF grade and a 0.56 average Wins Above Replacement (WAR) since 2022, both elite-level metrics for his age group.

In fact, PFF points out that Nabers led the entire 2024 rookie wide receiver...
