What do advanced stats tell us about Jaxson Dart’s rookie season passing?

As Ed discussed earlier in the week, it’s no surprise that Jaxson Dart was his choice as the most important Giant entering the 2026 season. In that post Ed referenced a film study by Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic about Dart’s pros and cons. This week Pro Football Focus released their 2026 NFL QB Annual, which provides a ton of advanced stats for every QB in the league who played at least 200 dropbacks and allows us to compare Dart to his competitors.

You don’t need PFF to tell you that Dart was a massive asset running the ball, whether...

Summer scouting: Can safety Koi Perich have a breakout season for Oregon?

Will the New York Giants need a safety in the 2027 NFL Draft?

The 2026 NFL Draft boasted an incredibly deep and talented safety class, and many people were calling on the Giants to dip into that class to reinforce their secondary. The Giants instead opted to roll with Jevon Holland and Tyler Nubin, with modest reinforcements from free agency.

How that plays out remains to be seen, but the possibility is there that they might need to draft one. Ar’Darius Washington is on a one-year contract, while Tyler Nubin is at a crossroads following a disappointing sophomore campaign.

If...

ESPN offseason grades: Did the NY Giants close the gap?

We are right in the middle of the dreaded “dog days of summer”, between the end of the New York Giants off-season program and the opening of their training camp at the end of July.

This is the only really quiet period the NFL allows us in their drive to dominate the entire calendar, and outlets use it as a time to reflect and look ahead to the coming season.

Seth Walder of ESPN took the opportunity to hand out grades for all 32 teams.

We’ll evaluate the actual decisions each team has made during the offseason. This is...

Eli Manning on how NY Giants QB Jaxson Dart can make a Year 2 leap

Eli Manning on how NY Giants QB Jaxson Dart can make a Year 2 leap

This is a big year for New York Giants legend Eli Manning. This is the 30th year of his family’s annual quarterback clinic, the Manning Passing Academy. To celebrate the milestone, the clinic has been made much more of an event this year than in previous years, complete with an NFL Films crew to document the weekend.

For those not familiar, the Manning Passing Academy is a weekend clinic put on by the Manning family — Archie, Peyton, Cooper, and Eli — for high school quarterbacks, wide receivers, tight ends, and running backs from around the country. It’s a first-come,...

NFC East Grades: Where do the Giants stack up at tight end?

NFC East Grades: Where do the Giants stack up at tight end?

The New York Giants are getting ready for training camp, along with the rest of the NFC East. This is the first offensive position group in the NFC East Grading series. After the defensive grading, the Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys all finished with 13 points, with Washington finishing with 11 points.

How does it work, you may ask? It’s VERY complicated! The best positional group is assigned four points, and the “worst” receives one point. It is a complex formula, up there with E=MC², but we’ll attempt to deliver the information in a palatable manner, and I’m sure it will...

DeAngelo Hall: Odell Beckham can have a “huge impact” for the NY Giants

The return of Odell Beckham Jr. to the New York Giants was one of the most notable stories of the off-season for Big Blue.

Even though it’s been a decade since OBJ rewrote the record books in his meteoric rise to fame, Beckham still gets Giants fans excited. Even diminished from his prime, a healthy Beckham has the potential to be a useful piece for the Giants.

Former Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall recently spoke to Hard Rock Bet, and says Giants fans are right to be excited about Beckham’s return.

“I saw Odell run up and down and...

Checking in on NY Giants first rounders Arvell Reese and Sisi Mauigoa

It’s setting up to be a long, hot summer here on the east coast. It’s being made even longer by the fact that we’re still about a month away from the New York Giants training camp.

The folks over at ESPN took the opportunity to poll their beat writers for each team and get their early impressions of the NFL’s first round picks. So far Jordan Raanan has been impressed with both of the Giants’ first rounders, so we’ll go in reverse order and start with offensive lineman Sisi Mauigoa.

Survey: Which Giant will get a second contract?

Survey: Which Giant will get a second contract?

Every single NFL team says that they want to build through the draft, and the New York Giants are no different. Drafting starting caliber players is a good start, but that also means retaining your players once they’re eligible for free agency.

This year, the Giants had to watch four starting caliber players from the 2022 draft walk out the door for big contracts elsewhere in 2026. The Giants would have preferred to keep Wan’Dale Robinson, Cor’Dale Flott, Daniel Bellinger, and Dane Belton, but that just wasn’t in the cards.

NFL teams always have difficult decisions to make in the...

NY Giants’ top 10 most important players: No. 1 — QB Jaxson Dart

Hiring John Harbaugh to be their head coach is the most important thing the New York Giants did this offseason, perhaps the most important thing they have done in a long time. Now, the most important thing Harbaugh and his coaching staff have to do is put Jaxson Dart in the best possible position to become the quarterback his 2025 rookie season hinted he could be.

Dart is, of course, No. 1 on our list of ‘most important Giants players of 2026’. Was there ever any doubt he would top the list?

The Giants are in the same place entering...
