Washington Commie Frankie Luvu was suspended by the NFL:
The hip drop thing has been strange since it was a point of emphasis rule change and yet is rarely called in games. In this case, Luvu has been racking up fines, but the refs aren’t throwing the flag, yet it culminates with a one-game suspension.
Luvu’s absence would be a loss for the Commanders going into this Lions game if it wasn’t already a guaranteed L. They’re 3-6 and have been banged up all year. Jayden Daniels has a dislocated elbow and Marshon Lattimore and Luke McCaffrey suffered a torn...

The Philadelphia Eagles needed help for their pass rush, so general manager Howie Roseman worked his magic again to acquire another star.
Edge rusher Jaelan Phillips couldn’t be happier about his trade away from the Miami Dolphins to the defending Super Bowl champions.
“It’s incredible. I had no idea this was going to happen. There’s literally no other team I would rather play for. Obviously, Philly’s a storied franchise. Great tradition. Incredible team. I’m just excited to get in, work with the guys. I love [coordinator Vic Fangio], as a person and as a coach. I’ve had some good...
There’s a reason why Johnny Airports is HIM and you are not. Interviews like this, waiting outside the terminal for the next high-profile Philly athlete to come waltzing down the hallway and seeing John Clark before they see the “Welcome to Philadelphia” sign. It’s been a while since we’ve seen an Airports interview, but they always hit the same:
THAT’S WHY HE’S THE GOAT! Johnny fucking airports, baby! Guy never takes a day off:
Did you see that look on Jaelan Phillips’ face during the interview? That’s the look of a guy who is excited to be out of...

BIG TRADE IN THE NFL!
Sike! The team with the 31st-ranked defense in points and yards allowed per game traded for a linebacker from the team with the 32nd-ranked defense in points and yards allowed per game. It’s like swapping deck chairs on the Titanic. Logan Wilson was traded from the Exxon Valdez oil spill to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
No disrespect to Wilson himself, who was a really good player not too long ago. But he’s 29 now and losing snaps and requested a trade. The Cowboys need a whole lot more than one linebacker whose best days...

Josh Allen has more Tush Push touchdowns than Jalen Hurts, but you won’t hear NFL fans complaining that Allen is a Tush Push merchant:
It’s funny that you don’t hear a peep about this, especially the hypocrisy of a team that tried to ban it this summer, from anyone in the national media. That’s fine. We know that all sports arguments aren’t created equally. Maybe they don’t talk about it because it doesn’t fit their narrative. Maybe people don’t talk about it because Allen is the reigning MVP and a bona fide top-5 passer in the NFL. Maybe they don’t...

As you know, Disney and YouTubeTV haven’t been able to cut a deal, so ESPN and ABC are not being shown on the YTTV platform currently:
Despite our best efforts, we have not been able to reach a fair deal, and starting today, Disney programming will not be available on YouTube TV. This means you will no longer be able to watch channels like ABC and ESPN or access recordings from these networks in your Library.

The Eagles didn’t even need to play a game and they now have the #1 seed in the NFC. In fact, it was a perfect weekend if you’re a Birds fan, as the Packers, Lions, Giants, and Commanders all lost. If the Cowboys lose on Monday Night Football, the Eagles would have a three-game lead in the division and be well on their way to repeating as NFC East champs for the first time in more than 20 years:
The Packers did the unthinkable and lost to the Panthers. A slight speed bump:

When the Phillies lost to the Dodgers in the National League Division Series, there was some grumbling among the locals that LA would go on to win it all.
Sure enough, that’s exactly what happened, though it wasn’t as easy as we initially thought. After sweeping the Brewers with no issues whatsoever, they needed extra innings in Game 7 to dispatch the Blue Jays and win their second World Series in a row, finishing with 13 wins and 4 losses in the postseason. Toronto was responsible for three of those losses and the Phillies one, so we were sadly denied...

ANOTHER ONE:
Howie Roseman traded for Za’Darius Smith, who retired. He brought B.G. out of retirement and traded for Michael Carter and Jaire Alexander, now he trades for Jaelen Phillips, who is 26 years old and on the last year of his Dolphins contract. He’s had both Achilles and ACL injuries, which limited him to just 12 games in 2023 and 2024, but in his 2021 and 2022 seasons he logged 15.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and 41 QB hits. He was a first round pick out of UCLA back in 2021 and played for Vic...

The Philadelphia Eagles have arguably the best offensive line in the game.
They play like a strong, physical unit that can usually overpower its way at the line of scrimmage.
Notably, a lot of that has to do with Lane Johnson.
As shown in a graphic shared by Kendall Beck on X, the legendary tackle ranks on a tier of his own in terms of time to pressure and pressure rate for offensive tackles.

The Philadelphia Eagles have made their first significant move ahead of the Nov. 4 NFL trade deadline.
They acquired cornerback Michael Carter II from the New York Jets in exchange for wide receiver John Metchie III.
The trade addresses a defensive secondary that has struggled to find consistency at multiple positions this season.
Analyst Greg Cosell recently discussed the trade and its implications during an appearance on the Ross Tucker Podcast.
“They’re getting an elite slot corner, particularly in zone coverage. Right now, at the outside corner position, they’re basically playing the law firm of Bennett, Jackson, and Ringo....
The Philadelphia Eagles are always looking to add stars to their already stacked team.
That’s why it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them acquire another big-name player before the NFL trade deadline, with a Miami Dolphins star possibly on their radar.
“An emerging candidate for a viable trade is edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, and the team that needs him most is the reigning Super Bowl champions. Arguably Phillips’ best stretch in the NFL came in the middle of 2023, when he was playing for then-Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. He might not be cheap to acquire, and will...
