The Philadelphia Eagles paid the price for a Super Bowl championship as they’ve seen one player after another leave their star-studded defense to sign for more money elsewhere this offseason.
It’s an unfortunate cost of doing business, because you can’t pay everybody, but some help could be on the way with a Pro Bowl safety lingering on the free agent market.
During a recent appearance on NFL Network, Brian Baldinger pointed out that Justin Simmons wants to play for the Eagles.
“It’s not just a reunion with Justin Simmons and Vic Fangio, he wants to come to Philadelphia. … They lost Darius Slay. They lost some leaders in that secondary. He provides that,” Baldinger said, via Dov Kleiman.
