Washington’s Daron Payne was ejected Sunday for punching Amon-Ra St. Brown. Tuesday video now reveals that St. Brown was the aggressor the whole time! He was caught on the eye in the sky punching Payne right IN FRONT of a referee, and got nothing:
Wow. I hope the NFL sees this and acts swiftly. I like Amon-Ra St. Brown, but if Daron Payne gets suspended for a game then it’s only fair St. Brown does. I hate seeing one of the most electric players in the NFL sidelined, but fair is fair. What did the great Mahatma Ghandi say? *“An...

The Philadelphia Eagles pulled off a big win on “Monday Night Football.” They traveled to Lambeau Field and defeated the Green Bay Packers.
Even though they were on the road, they had many people in the stands rooting for them. After the game, DeVonta Smith revealed his honest thoughts about Eagles fans.
“Best fans in the world, man. They’re going to come out no matter where we’re going. You can count on them being there,” Smith said.

The refs kinda stunk on Monday Night Football, not as bad as they typically do, but in addition to missing false starts against both the Packers and Eagles on QB sneaks, they must have had blindfolds on when Micah Parsons pulled a judo trip on Saquon Barkley late in the fourth quarter:
Tell ya what, I think Saquon breaks an arm tackle from Isaiah McDuffie there and gets the first down. Impossible to know for sure, he it seemed like he hit that hole with some good momentum before dirty cheat Parsons stuck a leg out.
This was a 2nd...

Cornerback is often seen as one of the most difficult positions to play in football, but Quinyon Mitchell of the Philadelphia Eagles has been making it look easy. The second-year pro has been improving some vital parts of his game.
A stat shows how Mitchell is among the NFL’s best cornerbacks.
“Quinyon Mitchell is allowing 49% completion percentage against and ranks second behind only Patrick Surtain in the NFL in average separation when targeted this season,” EJ Smith wrote on X.

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers in Week 10 on “Monday Night Football.” It was a victory their fans wanted to see, and it gave them hope about the team returning to and winning the Super Bowl again this season.
Afterward, pundit Skip Bayless took to social media and made a bold claim about the Eagles.
“I give it up: the Eagles are the best team in the NFL. Most dominating defense. Clutchest offense. By far the best GM,” Bayless wrote on X.

Weird game from Nick Sirianni and Kevin Patullo on Monday night. It was reminiscent of early 2024, when the feel for decision making and offensive play calling was all over the place. They didn’t seem to know when to be aggressive and when to be conservative, an issue highlighted by several Will Shipley “give up” plays and then a fourth-down shot to A.J. Brown in a failed attempt to ice the game:
Not sure what Sirianni is doing in that clip, other than plating a word salad, but the correct call was to take a delay of game and then...

How can you not love Smitty?
This after he hauled in the game-winning touchdown and caught the crucial 3rd and long pass that helped the Eagles kill clock and flip the field late in the fourth quarter. He finished with 4 receptions on 7 targets for 69 yards and a score and gave the offense a couple of key big plays on a night when nobody was truly at their best.
Not exactly a hot take, but Smitty might be the most likeable player on a roster full of likeable players. He’s quiet, goes about his business, and doesn’t say...

Sick start for Jaelan Phillips after the Birds sent Miami a third-round draft pick for his services:
He was noticeable early in run defense, with a nice shedding of a block and a tackle right near the line of scrimmage. The big one obviously was the 4th and 1 at the end of the game when Moro Ojomo yelled “inside zone this way,” and Phillips beat his man to help blow up that play in the backfield before recovering the fumble. He really popped off the screen in a good way.
And there was no adjustment period whatsoever, because he...

Lil Wayne had some thoughts on Jordan Love in the first half before he deleted the tweet:
Damn. Coming after his neck. Wayne basically telling Love to go down to the Green Bay DMV and change your name because you don’t deserve to share it with the other great Jordans in sports. The Eagles won and this might be my favorite part of the entire game. One because the game was a snoozefest and two because I am the biggest Jordan Love hater there is. I don’t understand why the media, wait for it, loves him. I haven’t been...

You hear this on the broadcast?
Great sequence there. Holy cow. Moro Ojomo sniffed that out like nobody has ever sniffed anything out before. Not only did the Eagles get the jump and the stop, but Green Bay committed an illegal formation penalty and fumbled the ball at the same time to complete the disaster trifecta. Possession would have changed hands regardless, but that 4th and 1 was doomed from the beginning because the Birds saw it coming.
Defense was awesome all night long. Eight QB hits, 5 PBUs, 3 sacks, and 5 tackles for loss. They forced two fumbles...

Behold, the paradox of sport, when a game of football can be as ugly as it is beautiful.
Case in point, this one, a Monday Night Football slugfest featuring some of the worst offensive play you’ll ever see. Vic Fangio’s unit was as good as Kevin Patullo’s was bad, and regardless of where you fall on the spectrum that connects both sides of the ball, there’s no denying that the Eagles just made a few more plays than the Packers en route to a gritty 10-7 road win at Lambeau.
For that reason alone, you have to go Posidelphia despite...

As of publication on Monday afternoon, the Birds are a one-point underdog and -110 on the money line at BetMGM. They’re in Green Bay to play the Packers on the not-yet frozen tundra of Lambeau Field.
I’d be willing to make the argument, and quite easily, that the Birds should be a strong favorite, not just as the top team in the NFC, but because of who is available.
Green Bay is coming off a home loss to Carolina in which they lost tight end Tucker Kraft to a leg injury. Kraft leads the Packers in receiving yards. That leaves...
