Someone Fell Asleep and Started Snoring During Eagles Postgame Live

Reader Rob emailed us on Monday, claiming that he heard snoring during the early part of Eagles’ Postgame Live after the Washington loss.

Initially thought it was my dog,” he said, but upon further investigation, you can definitely hear loud breathing and then a snore around 17 seconds into this clip:

lol

That’s so good. More than a full minute of mouth breathing and snoozing on live television. It kept going for a few more minutes after this, then they kicked to the panel discussion and it trailed off and/or became inaudible.

I don’t blame this person for falling...

The New York Giants Can’t Even Tank Properly

The New York Giants Can’t Even Tank Properly

Great stat right here:

Spoiler: they did win, improving to 4-13 on the season while ensuring that Dallas finished with consecutive losing records for the first time since 2002.

If the Giants just finished the job, and lost properly, they would have had the #1 overall pick. Instead, they beat the Raiders and Cowboys and played themselves into the #5 position.

On one hand, they don’t need a quarterback, since Jaxson Dart appears to be their guy. But they could have traded out of the top spot for picks, slid down the board, and improved their overall haul. Injuries screwed...

Cardinals Fire Jonathan QGannon

Cardinals Fire Jonathan QGannon

QGannon was canned by Arizona:

Gannon finished with 15 wins and 36 losses. No playoff appearances in a tough division with the Rams, Niners, and Seahawks.

What was the point of taking that job in the first place? They didn’t have much talent at all. They had Trey McBride and James Conner and Budda Baker and that’s about it. Kyler Murray showed some glimpses here and there, like he typically does, but they aren’t winning anything meaningful until they jettison him and find a franchise quarterback out there in the desert. Does anybody think Jacoby Brissett is the guy? Probably...

If the Eagles Lose in the Playoffs, it Won’t Be Because They Rested Their Starters Against the Commanders

If the Eagles Lose in the Playoffs, it Won’t Be Because They Rested Their Starters Against the Commanders

The noise is loud.

Nick Sirianni has given local media and some fans all the ammo they need for this week after resting key starters in the season finale against the dirty Washington Commanders on Sunday.

The conversation isn’t about the 49ers, a team that’s been propped up due to having the league’s easiest schedule this season, and who just gave up 38 points to a Chicago Bears squad whose starters looked like they were resting on the field for much of their game against the Detroit Lions.

The conversation is about Sirianni’s decision to rest his starters, when the...

Seth Joyner Says it’s “Really Difficult Being a Fan” of the Eagles, Who Have Won Two Super Bowls and 104 Games Since 2017

Seth Joyner has abandoned the light and once again embraced Negadelphia with this ludicrous passage on the WIP morning show:

*“It’s so hard being a fan of this team. It’s one thing to journalistically cover the team. It’s really difficult being a fan of the team and sitting back and watching what you just watched last week. It just makes you wonder. It’s hard to critique a coach, Joe, who’s got 59 wins I think it is, in five years. That’s just got phenomenal numbers. Then you sit back and watch the decisions that are made and it just really...

Darius Cooper’s “Taunting” Penalty Yet Another Shining Example of Why More than One Thing Can Be True

Darius Cooper’s “Taunting” Penalty Yet Another Shining Example of Why More than One Thing Can Be True

Eagles receiver Darius Cooper was flagged for taunting on this Sunday night sequence, wiping out a gain that would have put the Birds on the goal line:

— Crossing Broad (@CrossingBroad) January 4, 2026

Cooper gets up, looks at Jonathan Jones, spins the ball on the ground, and the ball hits Jones’ right foot. Then Cooper puts his hands together like he’s praying because he seems to realize almost immediately that he did something stupid.

Sure enough, out comes the flag.

So it was a dumb play. It’s one of those things where Cooper has barely...

Hip-Drop Tackle: There’s Nothing in the NFL Rulebook that Matches Gene Steratore’s No-Call Explanation

Hip-Drop Tackle: There’s Nothing in the NFL Rulebook that Matches Gene Steratore’s No-Call Explanation

Eagles tight end Grant Calcaterra had to come out of Sunday’s season finale when he was rolled up on what we thought was an illegal hip-drop tackle by Washington DB Jeremy Reaves.

There was, however, no flag for this:

Color commentator Ross Tucker questioned afterward why no flag was thrown. It seemed like a clear-cut violation with Reaves unweighting himself and then swinging through, landing on Calcaterra’s left ankle.

Then, a little while later, rules analyst Gene Steratore joined the broadcast, surmising that the reason the refs didn’t throw the flag is because Reaves touched the ground himself before coming...

Kelee Ringo With Whatever the Hell This is

Kelee Ringo With Whatever the Hell This is

Let’s crowdsource. Anybody know what Kelee Ringo is doing here?

He’s lined up on Treylon Burks. Burks motions inside, then begins to run block when the ball is snapped. Ringo recovers on the bootleg and is in a good position to make a play on Josh Johnson, but he peels off looking for someone to cover instead.

My guess is that he thinks there might be an open receiver behind him? So he gambles on that to try to make a play? Dunno. That’s the best I can come up with. If anything, just close down the QB and try...

Missed Opportunity – 21 Immediate Observations from Commies 24, Eagles 17

Missed Opportunity – 21 Immediate Observations from Commies 24, Eagles 17

It was fun while it lasted, but the Eagles’ backups blew a fourth quarter lead on Sunday night, losing 24 to 17 at home to Washington in the season finale.

They battled throughout, and had some really nice moments, but the story of the game was the Birds’ secondary, which committed something like 17 pass interference penalties for what felt like 700 yards. They looked like they were each infused with the spirit of Izel “Toast” Jenkins while trying to cover Terry McLaurin and Treylon Burks, and by “trying to cover” I mean they grabbed and held because they couldn’t...

Cowboys Post Back-to-Back Losing Records for the First Time Since 2002

How bout them Cowboys! They lost to the Giants to cap off the year:

They finish 7-9-1 after going 7-10 last season. It’s the first time dem boyz have finished with back-to-back losing seasons since 2002, when they went 5-11 with the FORMIDABLE duo of Quincy Carter and Chad Hutchinson.

They had some crap seasons over the ensuing two decades, but did not post consecutive losing records, which is somewhat hard to believe considering how ass they were for portions of the 2010s. But after Dak’s injury in 2024, and then the Micah Parsons trade and failure to put together...

I Can’t Prove it, but I Think the Eagles Winning a Lot of Games Helped Lower Philadelphia’s Homicide Rate

I Can’t Prove it, but I Think the Eagles Winning a Lot of Games Helped Lower Philadelphia’s Homicide Rate

From Ellie Rushing and Jillian Kramer at the Inquirer:

For the first time in more than half a century, Philadelphia has recorded fewer than 225 homicides in a single year.

In 2025, 222 people were killed — the fewest since 1966, when there were a fraction of as many guns in circulation and 178 murders.

Great job everyone! For real. It’s always a good thing when we don’t kill each other as much.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department’s public data, the homicide rate has decreased every year since exiting the pandemic:

  • 2025: 222 homicides -...

Jalen Hurts and Kevin Patullo Don’t Seem to Think that Snapping the Ball with One Second on the Play Clock is a Big Deal

Jalen Hurts and Kevin Patullo Don’t Seem to Think that Snapping the Ball with One Second on the Play Clock is a Big Deal

Couple of quotes this week about the Eagles’ being super slow in snapping the ball. They’re actually the NFL’s slowest team when measured in how close to the play clock they’re snapping the ball:

‘So, I don’t know how big of an issue it is,’ he said.”

Here’s what Kevin Patullo said about it earlier in the week:

Q. I mean, a lot of the plays, the snaps are going off at the clock. I assume that’s because he’s getting to the line too late or– (Jeff McLane)

Kevin Patullo: When you look at that, I don’t...
