The NFL’s Week 9 schedule started with the Miami Dolphins losing to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday. It now moves on to the Sunday slate of games, with 12 games on tap. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have the week off as they all reach their bye week.
The highlight of the schedule is a late-afternoon matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Presumed to be the favorites for the AFC Championship game again this year, both clubs are looking up at other teams leading their respective divisions...

Well, at least part of what Miami Dolphins fans have been screaming for —the firing of general manager Chris Grier, oh, sorry, mutual separation —has finally happened. Others also wanted to see head coach Mike McDaniel fired, but at least for now, it seems Mike will survive through this season. Some speculate that whoever the team brings on as the new GM this upcoming offseason will have the opportunity to select their own head coach. Despite it being said, this team is clearly headed into another rebuild. So the question now is which players the new GM will decide should...

The Miami Dolphins dropped to 2-7 through the first nine weeks of the 2025 NFL season after losing to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football. While the rest of the league is waiting for their Week 9 contests, the Dolphins are already starting to work on the future – general manager Chris Grier has agreed to leave the team, and they are working on ways to improve “in 2025, 2026, and beyond.”
This week, our SB Nation Reacts survey asked how many games the Dolphins would win this season. The survey ran before Thursday’s game, but, with another loss...

The Miami Dolphins will have a new general manager after this season comes to an end as the team and Chris Grier mutually agreed to part ways. Grier has been the Dolphins GM since 2016 and the Dolphins have been an up and down team during his tenure. There were some high highs and some low lows, like this season. Change needed to be made with many people calling for Mike McDaniel’s head. But he will reportedly remain the head coach for the remainder of the season with Champ Kelly serving as interim GM. Kelly will have the chance to...

The Miami Dolphins on Friday agreed to part ways with general manager Chris Grier. He had served with the team for 26 years, starting as a scout, and working his way up to the last 10 years as the team’s general manager. However, the team has struggled throughout the season and the roster construction has been a major focal point in those struggles. The change has now happened, with Champ Kelly installed as the team’s interim GM ahead of a search for a new top member of the front office.
But, who is taking over the personnel side of the...

The Miami Dolphins made a massive move on Friday, “mutually agreeing” to part ways with general manager Chris Grier after the team fell to 2-7 on the season and with the trade deadline approaching. The other half of the changes many fans want to see, head coach Mike McDaniel also leaving the team, does not appear to be happening any time soon. According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, McDaniel will “remain Miami’s head coach for the remainder of the season at least.”
McDaniel was hired as Miami’s head coach in 2022 and immediately found success with the team....

The Miami Dolphins and general manager Chris Grier have mutually agreed to part ways, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The move comes the morning after the team lost to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football in an embarrassing 28-6 manner. Grier had been with the Dolphins since 2000, working his way up from a scout to taking over as the GM in 2016.
Miami is 2-7 on the season, with roster holes and depth issues throughout the team. Grier has been under fire from fans throughout the season, with the change finally happening on Friday. Miami...

After a full-on decimation of the Atlanta Falcons in week eight, the Miami Dolphins found themselves under the bright lights of Hard Rock Stadium in week nine to battle the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football.
That’s right… a dreaded primetime game.
And unfortunately, the Dolphins did what the Dolphins always seem to do on primetime — get embarrassed when the entire world is watching. More on that later. Miami lost to Baltimore by a score of 28-6, dropping their record to a dismal and disheartening 2-7.
As I sit here, late at night following this disappointment of a game,...

The Miami Dolphins are their own worst enemy. Against the Baltimore Ravens last night, the Dolphins constantly found ways to shoot themselves in the foot or just didn’t execute properly. The Dolphins offense was able to get yards and keep it somewhat close in the first half, but didn’t produce any points. The win was nice over the weekend but again, the flaws of this football team were out in full force last night.
You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.

The 2-6 Miami Dolphins took on the 2-5 Baltimore Ravens in Week 9, with both teams desperate to turn their season around.
Many around the league have suggested that the Dolphins should “blow it up” this season, but recent reports suggest the team is still clinging onto a semblance of hope, however slim. Meanwhile, the Ravens have had a terrible start to the season, but this week sees the return of All-Pro quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Unfortunately for the Dolphins, it was the Ravens who seized the opportunity to turn their season around. Miami didn’t come to play, and made key...

I have to think that even the most diehard among us went into last week’s game with little hope for our Miami Dolphins to leave Atlanta with a win. Then, of course, Miami surprised everyone by handing the Falcons a thorough beatdown. It is also, of course, the most Dolphins of things to do to win a game that no one saw them winning while also losing to teams in the same season that they have no business losing to. I, for one, hope that game was not just that, but more of a sign of things to come —this...
