Being shorthanded last week against the New York Jets didn’t seem to affect the Dallas Cowboys play much, if any. Although several starters were sidelined with injuries, players stepping in for them rose to the occasion and had been games for themselves. To earn another “W” in the Week 6 matchup with the Carolina Panthers, these players may need to have another repeat performance.
He is not Micah Parsons, but James Houston has turned himself in to the Cowboys best pass rusher through the first five weeks of the 2025 NFL season. He currently leads the...

The Dallas Cowboys (2-2-1) are back in action this Sunday, facing off against the Carolina Panthers (2-3). Dallas will try to build upon their dominant performance from last week, aiming to win consecutive games for the first time this season.
Before the two teams square off, here are three bold predictions for the matchup.
1) Cowboys’ pass-rush builds on last week’s dominant performance, recording four sacks
For the first time this season, Dallas’ pass rush showed up in a big way last week against the Jets. The Cowboys recorded 32 total pressures and five sacks against New York, with five...

Another week, another injury report filled with a lot of names. The Dallas Cowboys take on the Panthers tomorrow, and will once again be trying to do it very short-handed.
It did not bother them much last week against the Jets, as the offense keeps humming, which should be the case this week.
But let’s dive back into how the injury report looks for both the Cowboys and the Panthers as they get set to square off tomorrow.
Out:
WR Kavontae Turpin, Foot
G Tyler Smith, Knee

The Dallas Cowboys backfield took a significant hit this week as veteran RB Miles Sanders was placed on season-ending injured reserve after a knee injury required surgery, ending what was shaping up to be an up-and-down campaign.
Sanders, who signed a one-year deal with Dallas in the offseason, provided occasional sparks but often left what Joseph Randle once infamously called meat on the bone.
Despite showing flashes of his trademark quickness and vision, Sanders struggled to consistently break tackles or maximize runs, leaving fans and coaches alike wondering what couldve been.
Through six games, Sanders compiled modest numbers, mixing occasional...

For the third time in as many years, the Cowboys are going on the road to face the Panthers. It’s the kind of recurring matchup usually reserved just for division rivals, but this has become an interesting sort of rivalry in recent years. Not much of one, though, as Dallas won both games by a combined 63-24 score.
However, there’s a new layer to this pseudo-rivalry: the head coaches. In Dallas, Brian Schottenheimer is a first-year head coach who calls the plays. In Carolina, it’s Dave Canales, in his second as both head man and play-caller.
Both have cited Pete...

When CeeDee Lamb went down with a high ankle sprain, the expectation was that Jalen Tolbert would move into the second starting receiver spot.
With teams likely focusing on George Pickens, Tolbert should have had a field day. But that hasnt been the case so far.
In five games, and four starts, Tolbert has 10 receptions on 19 targets for 101 yards. He has no rushing stats so far this season.
His best game of the year came two weeks ago against the Packers when he had four catches for 61 yards on six targets. Most of that came on...

The Cowboys and Williams were a match made in heaven.
On playing alongside such a loaded roster on offense:
“I like it a lot. We’ve got playmakers at every position. It’s probably one of the first times I had this many superstars on the same team, but we’ve just gotta keep it going.”
On meshing so quickly with Klayton Adams:
“It’s just the schemes — how he draws it up. I mean, everything that they say in practice, it seems like it...

The Dallas Cowboys should go by the nickname Even Steven. The team enters Week 6 of the NFL 2025 season with a 2-2-1, an even record that even includes a tie, which is about as even as you can get. They have one of the best offenses, and one of the worst defenses, so that evens out. Heck, even the opinions of fans seem to be split right down the middle.
We asked you to vote whether you were confident the team is heading in the right direction, or not. In no surprise given what we’ve already discussed, 50% felt...

The Dallas Cowboys reportedly want to have DeMarvion Overshown back on the field by November.
Jordan Schultz shared the news on Friday and it feels significant to say that Friday marked October 10th. Overshown tore his ACL, PCL, and MCL on December 9th of last year so November would put him at just about 11 months removed from all of that trauma.
For what it’s worth, “on the field” doesn’t necessarily mean during games. Perhaps the Cowboys envision Overshown simply practicing with the team. Maybe they do view this goal as being game-ready, though.
The first Cowboys game in November...

The Dallas Cowboys have played close to a third of their games, and the roster seems to be on the cusp of rounding into form. After stumbling their way to a 1-2 record following an embarrassing loss to the Chicago Bears, the Cowboys have put together a two-game stretch during which they’ve displayed grit and physicality to bounce back with a 2-2-1 record.
Dallas has certainly had its bumps along the way, dealing with injuries and trying to replace the loss of Micah Parsons on the fly, but overall, the team feels like it’s catching momentum at the right time....

The Dallas Cowboys will not be seeing running back Miles Sanders again this season. Stephen Jones noted Friday on 105.3 The Fan that Sanders is being placed on season-ending injured reserve.
Jones said this on The Fan just a few minutes after Friday’s injury report went out which noted that Sanders was a non-participant and out for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. He has been listed as having a knee/ankle injury.
Sanders played the first four games of the season for Dallas before missing last week’s game against the New York Jets and clearly what he is dealing with...
