In 2025, the Dallas Cowboys’ defense was a “what you see is what you get” unit, and what opponents saw was wide open spaces. While teams like the Philadelphia Eagles thrived on post-snap safety rotations to confuse quarterbacks and force hesitation, the Cowboys sat stagnant like a parked car on a race track. It turns out that if your scheme is easy to read, your story will end pretty quickly. That is why the new message for the 2026 season has been made abundantly clear: if you aren’t moving, you’re losing.
To understand how much of a sitting duck this...

All rise! The Honorable Jerry Jones is now presiding over the curious case of the People vs. George Pickens. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we are gathered here to examine the polarizing tenure of a man who can snag a ball with one hand while simultaneously testing the structural integrity of his coaching staff’s patience with the other. The Dallas Cowboys knew they were bringing in a firecracker when they acquired Pickens, but we are here to determine if this young man is a franchise cornerstone or simply a very talented, very expensive headache. Counsel, proceed with the evidence....

Ranking the best NFC offenses after the 2026 NFL Draft was not as easy as I thought it would be.
At first, I had the Eagles higher, the Seahawks lower, and I went back and forth on Chicago, Atlanta, and San Francisco.
Once I looked closer at last season’s production, the updated depth charts, quarterback situations, offensive lines, and the weapons each team has, the list started to make more sense.
This isn’t just about ranking teams because they have some of the most popular players. It’s about finding teams that have the players and production. If it was, [the...
Each NFL team is allowed a maximum of 90 players under contract on its offseason roster. The Dallas Cowboys just signed OL DJ Wingfield as an undrafted free agent, bringing them to exactly 90 players under contract on their roster right now – assuming Malachi Lawrence eventually signs his rookie contract.
But even though they’ve maxed out at 90 players, the roster will continue to change over the coming weeks and months, as every single new signing will have to be accompanied by a corresponding player being released who is currently on the roster.
In total, the 90 Cowboys players...

Remember how some people tried to defend the second round draft pick of Luke Schoonmaker back in 2023? Well, his ride is about to come to an end.
The Cowboys have a lot of players that will be battling for some roster spots this offseason, and nobody is more on the edge of losing his, in my opinion, than Luke Schoonmaker.
Schoonmaker has not lived up to his second round status after Dallas drafted him in the second round. He has a total of 438 yards and three touchdowns in three years, yikes.
You can’t expect to hold onto a...
The Cowboys see Dee Winters and Jaishawn Barham, both acquired on day two of the draft, as middle linebacker types to support Demarvion Overshown.
Who will be the MIKE (middle) linebacker going forward? That’s anyone’s guess at the moment, because Barham will get the aforementioned shot at the role, but so will Winters, and the team seems fairly high on second-year talent Justin Barron as well, though the latter has an uphill climb to try and leapfrog Barham and Winters for the job. ...

The first installment of this roster rundown series covered one of the surest members of Dallas’ 2026 offensive line, starting guard Tyler Booker. Today’s features another guard with far less certainty, backup Trevor Keegan. After losing most of last season to injury, what are Keegan’s prospects as a roster candidate this year?
Years in NFL: 2
Acquired by: Waiver Claim (2025)
After five years at Michigan, including their 2023 national championship team, Keegan was a fifth-round pick by the Eagles in 2024. He’d immediately get another ring as part of Philly’s 2024 Super Bowl team, albeit in a...

The Dallas Cowboys are on the verge of pulling off a surprisingly rare feat. For the first time in what feels like an eternity, the team has a legitimate shot at returning the exact same five starting offensive linemen for two consecutive season openers. This is a massive shift from the recent trend of rookie additions and constant shuffling that has made the starting lineup look a revolving door of fresh faces and shifting roles. With no foreseeable shakeups to the starting offensive line, the Cowboys stand a chance of rolling out the same usual suspects again this season, featuring...

We continue scouting the 2026 NFL Draft class for the Dallas Cowboys by looking at the undrafted free agent class. Today we are looking at tight end DJ Rogers from TCU.
TE
TCU Horned Frogs
Senior
4-star rating
6’4”
258 lbs
As a true freshman in 2021, Rogers played in four games and preserved a redshirt, with no receptions. In 2022, he played 12 games mainly on special teams and again did not record a catch.
In 2023, he started to show up on offense and made seven receptions for 78 yards and one touchdown...

It will be a big if, but one guy the Cowboys pulled out of the NFL draft could have very well been the best corner in the country if he could have stayed on the field.
Devin Moore, the corner from Florida, was a 4th round pick by the Cowboys a few weeks ago, and slipped that far because of his injuries.
Moore endured some health struggles throughout his four-year stint at Florida. He missed a total of 20 games during his college career. His most healthy season came in 2025, when he only missed one game.
In 2022, Moore...
In the week prior to the 2026 NFL Draft, we asked our members to submit a list of up to 30 players, irrespective of round, that they thought the Cowboys would draft or sign as undrafted free agents. Each correct name predicted, be it a draft pick or a subsequent UDFA signing, was awarded one point.
If you had simply submitted the names of the predraft visitors known before the draft, you’d have gotten the first two picks right: Caleb Downs and Malachi Lawrence were both on the list, and we found out after he was drafted that Jaishawn Barham...

The Cowboys should feel pretty good about their roster. Heading into the offseason, they had major holes to address at linebacker, cornerback, and safety. Thanks to an excellent draft and a sensible free agent class, the Cowboys appear to have a well-rounded, formidable team. In fact, they have such good depth in some areas that it will be very competitive as to who will earn snaps during the year. Here are the tightest battles on the depth chart to keep an eye on heading into the summer.
Based on the eye test, Joe Milton is the better...
