Will Washington be able to re-take lead in the division from a surging Eagles team?
It’s week 11 of the NFL season and the 7-3 Washington Commanders will be facing a 7-2 Eagles team on the road at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA on Thursday (today) at 8:20 pm EST. The Eagles started the season a bit lackluster, going 2-2 to start the season, but have been on a heater since week 7, with blowout wins against the Giants, Bengals, and Cowboys (and a win against the Jaguars that would have been a blowout if they didn’t let the...

“Yeah, today was the day to get speed and so that was a good sign to see him and the rest of his teammates really get running,” coach Dan Quinn said. “It was a kinda ramp up, as you go, think of a slower Monday, a little fast yesterday, but today’s the day you hit the marks...
Get ready for game day!
Week 11 of the 2024/25 NFL season opens with a big NFC East matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles. Washington is 7-3 after allowing the Steelers to make up a 10-point deficit, and win by one point. The Commanders opened as 3.5 point road underdogs, and that line has held all week. The Over/Under opened 48.5 and has also stayed there since last Sunday.
The Eagles are on a 5-game winning streak, and just shut down the Giants and Cowboys in back-to-back weeks. Philadelphia started their season with Nick Sirianni telling fans...

Daboll’s return not guaranteed despite John Mara’s recent plea for patience
NFL insider Adam Schefter isn’t sure that New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll will survive a second straight miserable season. Schefter said Monday on the Pat McAfee Show that “anything’s possible” with the Giants.
“I don’t know that anybody can say that anybody’s safe in New York. I don’t know...

Injury updates
The Washington Commanders had their third practice of Philadelphia Eagles week today. Yesterday’s injury report didn’t change from Monday’s estimation based on a walkthrough. Dan Quinn spoke earlier today and gave some injury updates before today’s practice:
The Commanders have a big list of injuries on a short week, and three players have already been ruled out for Thursday night’s game. Kicker Austin Seibert(hip), LB Nick Bellore(knee), and CB Marshon Lattimore(hamstring) have all been ruled out. None of them practiced this week, and they were all expected to miss the Eagles game. Seibert was replaced by Zane...
Dan Quinn speaks to the media before practice
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn spoke to the media after today’s practice and made several announcements. TE Zach Ertz will be a team captain for his return to Philadelphia. RB Jeremy McNichols and rookie CB Mike Sainristil will serve as Washington’s other two captains for a critical primetime division game.

The Washington Commanders had their practice squad poached by the Cleveland Browns today. They’ve signed UDFA rookie CB Chigozie Anusiem to their active roster. He was a big name signing out of Colorado State after this year’s draft, getting a $50k signing bonus, and $300k in guaranteed salary. He didn’t make the Commanders roster, but was signed to their practice squad before the season started. Anusiem wasn’t elevated during the season, and now moves on to a bigger opportunity with the Browns. Washington now has a spot open on their practice squad to sign another player.
The top four teams in the College Football Playoff rankings had very different outcomes in Week 11 of the college football season. Oregon and Ohio State both sailed to victory in their respective matchups against Maryland and Purdue. Georgia, however, was unable to get anything going offensively against Ole Miss and suffered a substantial loss in Mississippi. Undefeated Miami was upset for the second year in a row by Georgia Tech. The new top four in the College Playoff Rankings are Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, and Penn State. A few other notable games from last week include Alabama thumping LSU...

The Commanders wide receiver typically tangles with Philadelphia cornerback Darius Slay, but a matchup with rookie Quinyon Mitchell could be in store Thursday.
If there’s any truism about Washington’s NFL team — amid coaching changes, personnel changes, scheme changes and even name changes — it’s that it always seems to get up for the Philadelphia Eagles.
In [the 2020...

Only two teams this season have been held to under 50 net passing yards in a game, and both of them played the Eagles.
On Sunday, Cowboys quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Trey Lance went a combined 17-for-29 for 66 yards, while taking three sacks for -17 yards against the Eagles, a net of 49 yards passing....
A short week against a division rival is an ideal time for Washington to showcase some unexpected players against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Washington head coach Dan Quinn has gotten a lot out of a few of his rookies ten weeks into the season. Of course, Jayden Daniels is the Commanders' starting quarterback, but Johnny Newton, Mike Sainristil, and Brandon Coleman are also making an impact. Alternatively, Luke McCaffrey and Ben Sinnott have been on fans' minds. It's not like they aren't playing; McCaffrey sees 45 percent of the offensive snaps, and Sinnott sees 31 percent. However, they have combined for...
