The Washington Commanders kicked off the second season of the Adam Peters/Dan Quinn/Jayden Daniels era with a 21-6 win over the New York Giants. They don’t have any time to celebrate that win, because they’re already prepping for a Thursday Night Football game against the Packers in Green Bay. Practices will be light this week, and they will be traveling tomorrow with a another brief walk-through in the morning before they fly to Wisconsin.
Both teams released estimated injury reports for yesterday’s walkthrough and the Commanders held a light practice today. The team added five players to the injury report...

Tress Way was the only Commanders player to leave the game and be listed as questionable. He took a big hit on...
Throughout the 2025 NFL season, SB Nation’s Doug Farrar will write about the game’s Secret Superstars — those players whose performances might slip under the radar for whatever reasons. Now, it’s time to take a closer look at Commanders seventh-round rookie running back Jacory “Bill” Croskey-Merritt, who showed a lot in the preseason, and showed even more in Washington’s regular-season opener against the New York Giants. Croskey-Merritt could be the explosive piece this offense has needed from the backfield.
Last season, the Washington Commanders offense under Kliff Kingsbury was an unexpected nightmare for every opponent to deal with. Of course,...

2. The defensive line stuffed the Giants’ run game.
It was clear that the Giants wanted to try running through the Commanders’ defense. Kinlaw threw a wrench in that on the first play, and it set the tone for a stifling performance up front.
The Giants dealt with the Commanders’ disruption all afternoon, as players like Kinlaw and Daron Payne were regular visitors in the backfield. They helped hold the Giants’ rushing attack to 74 yards — the 10th lowest total of Week 1 —...

We’ve got one game left for Week 1 of the 2025/’26 NFL season. This week’s Monday Night Football game features an NFC North matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. This division is expected to be one of the best in the NFL, and every division game should be must-watch tv. The Bears drafted Caleb Williams No. 1 overall last year, and then their season imploded after Jayden Daniels’ Hail Mary TD took their souls. They hired Ben Johnson, who was the Lions OC, to be their new head coach, and to fix Williams and the team. Will...

Practices will be light this week, and they will be traveling on Wednesday which will be another walk-through.
Both teams released estimated injury reports for today’s walkthrough. The Commanders list six players with new injuries this week, but the first injury report on a short week isn’t a good indicator of where the team is health-wise. The only reported injury from Washington...
Dan Quinn spoke to reporters for his first Victory Monday and Tell the truth Monday of the season. It was a big win that could have been bigger if they played a cleaner game. Quinn watched the tape, an said despite not allowing a touchdown, there were some things he saw that needed to be cleaned up. He did “appreciate the attack, tone, and nature of the defense”.
