We ask about the Bengals’ running game, their run defense, and more.
This Sunday, the Cleveland Browns return home as they take on the Cincinnati Bengals. To help preview a few topics from the Bengals’ perspective, we reached out to Anthony Cosenza from Cincy Jungle and exchanged five questions with him.
Chris: “Nick Chubb returns to action this week, so Browns fans are hoping the run game can ignite this offense. How has the Bengals’ run defense been so far?”
Anthony: “In short, the run defense for the Bengals hasn’t been good this year. They have given up the...
“When I ran, I knew that I was going to play again.” Nick Chubb is ready for his Browns return
As the Cleveland Browns 2024 NFL season seems destined for disappointment, the return of RB Nick Chubb to the field over a year after his gruesome knee injury is a beacon of hope and light. Chubb’s letter to the City of Cleveland drew tears from many as the reserved running back laid his feelings and thoughts out.
Chubb is officially listed as questionable for Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals but is expected to play.
This week has been all...
Nick Chubb’s return from injury not certain in Week 7
The Cleveland Browns are likely to get RB Nick Chubb back on Sunday versus the Cincinnati Bengals. The Week 7 return has been expected but Friday’s injury report will not make that certain. Chubb, who is still on the Physically Unable to Perform list, will be listed as questionable when the final injury report comes out later today.
Chubb’s return, including his emotional letter to the City of Cleveland and the fans, is one of the few things that is exciting for this week’s Battle of Ohio. The Browns have...
CB Denzel Ward has been named the Week 7 NFLPA award winner
Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward has been named the NFLPA’s Community MVP for week 7 after a generous contribution through his “Make Them Know Your Name” (MTKYN) Foundation.
Ward donated $150,000.00 to help the city place 100 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) around the Greater Cleveland area.
AEDs are portable devices that deliver an electric shock to the heart to restore its normal rhythm in the event of cardiac arrhythmias. They are specifically designed for use by non-medical professionals.
Ward has been a big proponent of the devices due...
Battle of Ohio will have Joe Burrow, Trey Hendrickson has key pieces
Road trip is over and the Cleveland Browns will look to get back on track (in some capacity) as the team will come home after going winless on their road trip and against the NFC East. The season isn’t technically over but it’s trending that way. Cleveland will begin conference/division play as they will play host to in-state rival, the Cincinnati Bengals.
Going into the season (similar to the Browns), the Cincinnati Bengals had playoff aspirations with a sprinkle of Super Bowl hopes. Seven weeks into the season,...
Someone will have to pay the price for the Browns falling short
The results for the Cleveland Browns after six games couldn’t be any further from the expectations they had coming into the year. Going 1-5 over what many consider the easiest part of the schedule will ultimately cost the team a chance at the playoffs.
Despite the overhaul of the offensive coaching staff, it has produced a historically bad one. The preparation and execution this year look wildly different from those of the Kevin Stefanski teams that we’ve seen in the past.
The quarterback who was brought in to...
More of the latest Browns news and notes from around the web in today’s dose of the Daily Dawg Chow.
The latest Cleveland Browns coverage from Dawgs By Nature:
Team officials announce they will focus their stadium efforts on a dome in Brook Park.
The Cleveland Browns made the inevitable official on Thursday.
The club is pulling up stakes and leaving downtown Cleveland to play in a domed stadium in the Cleveland suburb of Brook Park.
The announcement ends months of speculation over whether the Browns would work out a deal with the Cleveland officials to renovate Huntington Bank Field, the team’s home since 1999, or depart for 176 acres near Cleveland Hopkins Airport that can accommodate not only a domed stadium, but also a “lifestyle and entertainment district...
Browns fans can also use this as an open thread.
Week 7 of the NFL season kicks off tonight as the Denver Broncos take on the New Orleans Saints.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Broncos are 2.5 point favorites against the Saints. The Broncos' defense has been hot, and Bo Nix has been guiding the team better than the first few weeks. The Saints have had a far fall from grace, but their offense is still potent. I think Denver's defense rises to the occasion. Broncos 23, Saints 20
The rest of the DBN staff picks for the game are...
Myles Garrett, Ethan Pocic, Jedric Wills all participating at a higher level
After trading WR Amari Cooper, the Cleveland Browns have had some positive news for, maybe, the first time all season. It won’t matter if they can’t take out the Cincinnati Bengals in the Battle of Ohio but everything with RB Nick Chubb’s return from injury and the first injury report of the week, the Browns might have things going in the right direction.
The vibes were obvious as Chubb’s Browns teammates cheered for him as he started his press conference. The good news continued when Chubb was listed...
The Cooper trade opens up opportunities for Cleveland’s younger players
The Cleveland Browns traded WR Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, marking the end of an era that had its fair share of “up’s and down’s” as of late.
Though he was, unfortunately, dropping passes quite a bit in 2024 he was still the offense’s main target and leader of the wide receiver room for Cleveland.
Despite losing a player like Amari Cooper in an already struggling passing offense, this move opens up opportunities for young and inexperienced players at the position. Players like Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash,...
Ethan Pocic returning to the practice field is vital
The Cleveland Browns still have a lot of injury concerns despite a better overall injury report on Wednesday compared to the past few weeks. The big news is obviously the return of RB Nick Chubb to an offense that needs all the help that they can get.
Chubb’s heartfelt letter to the City of Cleveland and Browns fans put an extra emotional layer to his return from injury.
The blocking in front of Chubb is still a concern with the tackles struggling, Wyatt Teller out with an injury and multiple injuries...
