Predicting the future isn’t something I’ve ever been good at, especially when it comes to the Bengals. So here’s what my crystal ball says:
We’re in the dog days of summer, at least as far as the NFL is concerned. It’s hot, and it’s just going to get hotter over the next couple of months, but the league is on summer break. The Cincinnati Bengals have broken minicamp without Trey Hendrickson and first-round pick Shemar Stewart signed and neither participated.
The team has been getting dragged, and rightfully so, throughout the national media, and all of this comes on the...
Shemar Stewart has the right to fight it, but the Bengals aren’t doing anything new.

Bengals' weight room message goes viral but not in the way the team would like
Every time a Cincinnati Bengals player enters the team weight room inside Paycor Stadium, they see the four adjectives that encapsulates what a Bengal is.
Sources - Bengals, Trey Hendrickson resume talks on contract
The only time Hendrickson made an appearance this offseason was to hold an extended news conference with reporters to explain his side of the negotiation process. In those comments, Hendrickson repeatedly took umbrage with the lack of communication between himself and the Bengals in contract talks....
With two straight years missing the playoffs, it is no secret that Taylor is far from safe entering 2025
Under Joe Burrow, the expectations for the Cincinnati Bengals have been high. With a Super Bowl and AFC Championship appearance early on in his time here, it seemed the Bengals could be perennial contenders.
That has not worked out, however, with the team missing the playoffs in 2023 and 2024. While in 2023, there was the excuse of Burrow missing a good chunk of the season, there was no such excuse for 2024, as he played the whole year and played...
Regardless of Pratt’s performance in 2024, he leaves a big void in the Bengals linebacker position.
Germaine Pratt being released by the Cincinnati Bengals isn’t a surprise. What’s surprising is how long it took for the Bengals to ultimately release him.
Pratt requested a trade months ago, and the Bengals released him just one day before Mandatory Minicamp starts on Tuesday.
Even though Pratt looked like he was struggling last season, he should be remembered for his big-play mentality in the biggest games over his seasons in Cincinnati. Pratt’s interception in the playoff game against the Raiders is one of...
If you’re needing a silver lining, maybe this can be it.
As fans of the Cincinnati Bengals, we saw a lot of Shemar Stewart standing on the sidelines while the rest of the team went through mandatory minicamp. We also saw his interview in which he very harshly criticized the team that drafted him.
What we’re not seeing, though, is the work that’s still getting done.
It’s clear Stewart is missing valuable time that could be spent on the field, but that doesn’t mean he’s not readying himself for when that moment comes. Hopefully, that comes sooner rather than later,...
Great news!
We’ve finally got some good news on one of the Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive ends who’s in a holdout.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Ben Baby, the Bengals have resumed contract talks with Trey Hendrickson.
“The two sides have resumed communication on his contract and future with the team, sources told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler on Sunday. Hendrickson, who is coming off an All-Pro season and was the NFL’s sack leader with 17.5 in 2024, says he remains steadfast in his desire for a long-term contract extension,” wrote Baby.
This is the first bit of positive news we’ve heard...
This has gotten really complicated
The Cincinnati Bengals have gone through OTAs and mandatory minicamp without two key contributors on defense — Trey Hendrickson and rookie Shemar Stewart, both edge rushers on a team that, outside of Hendrickson, struggles at rushing the passer.
In a conference with the best quarterbacks in the league and coming off a 9-8 season in which the defense held Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase out of the playoffs, the Bengals have allowed themselves to be in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
NFL Network insider Tom Pellisero joined the Rich Eisen show to break...
Negotiations for a new lease are spilling over to key areas of maintenance.
It might take fans a bit longer to get around Paycor Stadium this upcoming season.
Hamilton County Commissioners recently voted 2-1 to replace six escalators in the stadium. Because of that lone ‘No’ vote, plans will not move forward for the $1.5 million project.
Alicia Reese was the lone Commissioner to vote no, according to Chris Wetterich or Cincinnati Business Courier.
One of the big reasons for this vote was the Cincinnati Bengals stating the escalators in question are "unsafe." Reese took issue with this.
“If the...
The former first-round pick isn’t sure what to expect once he returns but is hopeful of being out there for Day 1 of camp.
The Cincinnati Bengals have quite an interesting situation on the defensive side of the football this offseason.
NFL sack leader Trey Hendrickson is currently not practicing in hopes of a massive contract extension with the Bengals.
Rookie defensive end Shemar Stewart is also not practicing due to contract negotiation issues with the Bengals as well.
However, there is some good news Bengals fans. Dax Hill is set to return for training camp after missing a large...
One defensive rookie is turning heads during practice.
QUICK HITS | Demetrius Knight Jr. Turning Heads as Mandatory Minicamp Closes
"Just to rub it in a little bit. Just to put the lethal assassin touch on it. Put the Joe Shiesty on it right there. He let him out of the bag a little bit," Knight said. "It was a no-look pass. He has just checking in on me if I was given a no-look pass. Only the best can do that. That's why he's one of the best."
Cincinnati Bengals Player Speaks Out After Shemar Stewart Leaves Minicamp

The Bengals’ defensive coordinator is eager to work with his rookie pass rusher.
The Cincinnati Bengals’ front office is in the middle of an ugly rookie contract dispute with Shemar Stewart.
The uber-athletic pass rusher out of Texas A&M is not happy that Katie Blackburn and company have changed the language around voiding years in his contract.
Stewart even went so far as to call out the front office by saying, “... in y’all case, y’all just want to win arguments (more) than winning more games.” Ouch.
With all that going on, the Bengals’ defensive coordinator has made it clear...
