In what can only be described as a strain in the groin, the Chicago Bears’ cornerback depth is getting thinner by the week.
What looked like a true strength to enter the season, the Bears’ CB room may have been top 3 in the league.

Opening blurb.
On a cold and blustery October afternoon, the 3–4 Chicago Bears squared off against the 3–4 Minnesota Vikings. In a back-and-forth battle, the Bears jumped out to an early 14–3 lead, highlighted by a 54-yard touchdown strike from Walter Payton to Brian Baschnagel, which would be the first of eight career touchdown passes for the Hall of Fame running back.
Chicago followed up with another score, this time a two-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Bob Avellini to Payton.
The Vikings answered in the second half, rallying behind...

On her latest Making Monsters podcast, Taylor Doll previewed this Sunday’s Chicago Bears vs Baltimore Ravens game with some help from two people who cover their respective teams.
First, she spoke with Zack Pearson, who is on the Bears beat for the Bear Report. They discuss where the Bears stand through seven weeks of the Ben Johnson era, what still needs improvement, and what a win on the road against Baltimore would look like — whether Lamar Jackson plays or not.
Taylor also talks with Samuel Njoku, who covers the Ravens on the Ravens Talk podcast. They discuss Baltimore’s struggles...

In the latest stop on what’s become somewhat of a revenge tour, the Chicago Bears hosted the the New Orleans Saints in week 6. The Saints, who fired Bears Defensive Coordinator Dennis Allen from his position as their Head Coach last season, made it interesting with a couple of halftime drives to bring a previously 20-0 Bears’ lead down to a single possession ballgame before Chicago unleashed their running game and slammed the door defensively on Spencer Rattler and co. to secure their fourth straight victory. While it’s great to see the running game keep the momentum they established after...

For the second time in three weeks, the (4-2) Chicago Bears will travel to Maryland for a football game, this time against the (1-5) Baltimore Ravens. The Bears will look to keep their winning streak alive and keep pace in a tough NFC, while the Ravens try to get their season back on track.
Baltimore is much better than their one win would reflect, but that’s with perennial MVP candidate Lamar Jackson back at quarterback and All-Pro linebacker Roquan Smith back on defense. Lamar’s hamstring injury has seen him limited at practice earlier in the week, with full participation on...

The Chicago Bears are red hot, winning 4 straight games and looking for their 5th. Meanwhile, we are red hot in the prop market, winning 5 of our last 6 props from these articles. That gives us a 12-6 record on the season. Can the Bears continue their hot streak? Can we? Here are 3 player props we like this week.
I think this is the 3rd straight week I’ve told everyone to go over on passing yards on Caleb’s number. Both times previously, it’s gone under, and, to be fair,...

The final injury reports have been revealed for Sunday’s game between the Chicago Bears and the Baltimore Ravens, and while some things are trending positively for the (4-2) Bears, they’ll have several injuries to work around this week.
Chicago has already ruled out running back Roschon Johnson (back), offensive tackle Braxton Jones (knee), tight end Cole Kmet (back), cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder), and nickleback Kyler Gordon (groin/calf). This will be Kmet’s first-ever game missed.
Four players are listed as questionable: kicker Cairo Santos (right thigh), running back D’Andre Swift (groin), defensive end Austin Booker (knee), and linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee)....

The Chicago Bears head to Maryland to face the Baltimore Ravens in a game that, if they win, means the Bears will have a flawless record for the month of October. Could the Bears extend their winning streak to five? What’s the status of Lamar Jackson? How would his presence (or absence) impact the game?
To get you set for this game, we sat down with Nikhil Mehta from Baltimore Beatdown (SB Nation’s Baltimore Ravens site) to get the Ravens’ perspective on this game. Check out the Q&A below.
**1. 1-5 is a shocking record for a team most...

Halfway through the 2025 college football season, there have been plenty of top prospects who have helped their cases for the 2026 NFL Draft.
If you’re in the content game and want to specialize in the NFL Draft, preparing for it is a year-round process. Beginning building your board out over the summer allows you to watch as many prospects as possible, as well as giving you a better understanding of how a player’s game has developed over the course of multiple seasons.
I haven’t published a portion of my big board since August, and with the college football season...

The Chicago Bears are looking to keep their winning ways going with a tough test on the road.
Using the word test when talking about a 1-5 Ravens team seems odd, but the Baltimore Ravens were preseason Super Bowl favorites.
The Ravens have been plagued by bad injury luck and bad defensive play.
However, the Ravens are very strong after their bye weeks. Under John Harbaugh, they’re 14-3 following the bye week.
What is it going to take for the Bears to win?
Sam: The Bears have to keep doing what they’ve been doing. Run the ball, stop the run....

Modern football is all about big plays and as a companion piece to the STEP Differential, I’m tracking the Bears big plays all year in this Infogram:
Last year’s tracker is on the second page. Remember that you can click into the tabs on the lower left to see the tally by player and you can hover over any of the shapes on the right hand side of the visual to see a description of each play. Like last year, I’ll color code the plays on the right with the team color of the opponent. New this year I’ve added...
