The Miami Dolphins placed rookie wide receiver Chris Bell on the active/non-football injury list on Tuesday afternoon while the third-round pick continues to work his way back from an ACL injury suffered while in college at Louisville. The ligament tear happened on November 22nd in a game against SMU, however since Bell wasn’t in the National Football League at that time, his designation is of the non-football variety.

According to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, Bell is still working to get back to “football mode” and the team is being cautious with their young investment.

ESPN is making cuts again. The network has kicked off another round of layoffs, with several recognizable on-air personalities getting caught in the roster shake-up, including a longtime NFL insider and a veteran MLB broadcaster.

Layoffs are never easy, and unfortunately, they’ve become part of the business as ESPN looks to trim costs and reshape its lineup. The Cleveland Browns announced they have signed CB Damarri Mathis to a contract.

In correspondence, the Browns waived CB Dom Jones with a failed physical designation.

Mathis, 27, missed the 2020 season due to a shoulder injury but was an honorable mention All-ACC in 2021. He was drafted by the Broncos with the No. 115 pick in the fourth round out of Pittsburgh in 2022.

PITTSBURGH — Spencer Anderson, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ seventh-round pick in 2023, has made 11 starts over the past two seasons. Heading into training camp, Anderson is competing with Dallas Cowboys transplant Brock Hoffman and rookie third-rounder Gennings Dunker for the starting right guard spot.

Aaron Wilson of KPRC reports the Patriots are hosting international TE Thomas Odukoya for a workout this week.

Odukoya, 29, signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan following the 2022 NFL Draft.

He was waived after his rookie camp and stuck around on Tennessee’s practice squad before getting waived in October 2025. He caught on with New England’s practice squad for the rest of the season shortly after.

In 2024, Odukoya appeared in two games for the Titans.
