While the injury bug hasn’t really broken in the San Francisco 49ers’ favor in 2025, that hasn’t stopped Kyle Shanahan’s squad from finding consistent success in the always challenging NFC West, going 8-4 through Week 12 thanks in no small part to their two-game win streak.
Unfortunately for the 49ers, their winning ways will be challenged in Week 13, when Brock Purdy and company will have to test their mettle against one of the best players in the game in Myles Garrett, who already has 18 sacks for the Cleveland Browns through just 11 games.
Asked how the 49ers can...

Chase Brown hears the Batman jokes. He kind of loves them. “Everybody’s making it seem like it’s gonna be like this big like Dark Knight Rises return or something like that,” the Cincinnati Bengals running back said of Joe Burrow coming back from turf toe surgery.
“It could be. I’m just excited for him to get football back. He loves football, and taking that away from him, for however long, it’s probably been hard.” Brown said via John Acree of the Cincy Jungle.
Joe Burrow was given roughly a three-month timetable after surgery on Sept. 14. He is beating it...

The Philadelphia Eagles are 8-3.
They’ve lost to three teams with a combined record of 16-17-1 through Week 12, have had games where they can’t run and/or throw the ball, and have seemingly forgotten how to play football for entire halves of games, many of which they somehow won.
Saquon Barkley looks like a player who wore much of the tread off of his tires in 2024, a side-effect of having the single most productive season in NFL history. And yet, his offensive coordinator, Kevin Patullo, refuses to commit to a true committee to ease the burden on his game,...

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle developed a mutual appreciation over the years as they’re both star athletes in the Bay Area.
They have expressed support for each other, with deep respect for their respective crafts. But that doesn’t mean they cannot throw shade at each other. After all, what’s a friendship without some light-hearted ribbing?
On Wednesday, Curry arrived at Chase Center for their game against the Houston Rockets wearing Kittle’s 49ers jersey. It immediately caught the attention of the six-time Pro Bowler, who posed a hilarious question for Curry.
“@StephenCurry30...

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense on the first drive of the game? Pretty good. The last possession of the half? They’re scoring. To open up the third quarter? Not so much. And that’s a problem. While the Steelers are improving on long-standing issues like scoring to begin games, they can’t replicate that out of the break. […]

Week 13 of the NFL and Fantasy Football season is already here as manager brace for the impending fantasy playoffs right around the corner. As fantasy teams in the hunt begin to make their final adjustments, the Kicker position will once again be highlighted through another wild week of football action.
A number of kickers were in the spotlight during Week 12, one of which was Chiefs’ Harrison Butker kicking the game-winner against the Colts in overtime. Lions’ Jake Bates hit from 59 yards to force overtime which his team later won and Jaguars’ Cam Little sealed Jacksonville’s win in...

The New York Giants became the first team to be eliminated from playoff contention after falling to 2-10 on the season with Week 12’s overtime loss to the Detroit Lions. But Jameis Winston put on a show, leading the Giants’ offense to its first 517-yard game in six years.
It’s unfortunate that New York doesn’t have a Thanksgiving Day game this year as Winston would undoubtedly make the holiday that much more memorable. But the veteran QB did share his favorite Thanksgiving dish. And no, Winston isn’t settling for stuffing or cranberry sauce.
“My wife, man, she makes some kale...

The Los Angeles Rams look to get their ducks in a row with reinforcements returning for the NFC faceoff with the Carolina Panthers in Week 13, as head coach Sean McVay expects wide receiver Tutu Atwell and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon to return from injured reserve. Both players have been cleared to participate after extended absences due to injury.
Out since Week 9 with a hamstring injury, Atwell has played six games this season, recording four catches for 164 yards, including an 88-yard game-winning touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4.
Meanwhile, Witherspoon suffered a left scapula injury in Week...

There are many areas the 2025 Pittsburgh Steelers should look to improve. Among them is an underachieving defense to date compared to expectations entering 2025. One thing that stands out is an extreme issue in situational play. When looking at the expected points added (EPA) by downs, a very concerning fact comes to light. Here’s […]

With their season continuing to go haywire, the Las Vegas Raiders decided to cut ties with offensive coordinator Chip Kelly on Sunday. The firing came after the Raiders lost to the Cleveland Browns, 24-10, at Allegiant Stadium.
Las Vegas is miserable with a 2-9 record, including five straight defeats.
Under Kelly, the Raiders’ offense ranked among the NFL’s worst this season. They are tied with the New Orleans Saints at the bottom in scoring with 15.0 points per game. They average 268.9 yards per outing, which is third-worst in the league.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, as early as...

Veteran safety Quandre Diggs is back in a very familiar place after the Seattle Seahawks signed him to their practice squad on Wednesday following his release from the Tennessee Titans.
Diggs was let go by the Seahawks last year due to financial constraints. He signed with the Titans but was limited to only eight games due to a foot injury. He played nine games this season, including four starts, logging 30 combined tackles.
While it’s not yet clear if the Seahawks will activate him for the remainder of the season, the 32-year-old Diggs said he didn’t have to think twice...

The Cincinnati Bengals’ season now hinges on a comeback that is bigger than motivation, it’s a necessity. After navigating nearly three months without their franchise quarterback, the Bengals are finally welcoming back Joe Burrow, who is set to start Thursday night on Thanksgiving against the Baltimore Ravens.
Burrow has missed the previous nine games battling turf toe, an injury that landed him in surgery on Sept. 19 and put Cincinnati’s playoff aspirations under extreme strain. Burrow is now practicing without limitations and marching back into primetime.
Those developments prompted a direct reaction from head coach Zac Taylor, who was asked...
