Bill Belichick is learning about the differences between coaching in college and coaching in the NFL in real time, and explained the most significant one.
The three-win Dallas Cowboys pulled off a blockbuster trade Tuesday, acquiring former All-Pro defensive tackle Quinnen Williams from the New York Jets. Despite the massive upgrade to their defense, one ESPN NFL analyst roasted the Cowboys over the deal.
Dallas gave up a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 first-round selection and defensive tackle Mazi Smith, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Earlier in the day, the Jets traded cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts for two first-round picks and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell.

A new report offers up a boatload of evidence for why the New York Jets’ decision to trade Quinnen Williams on Tuesday was a master stroke by the team’s front office.
The Jets turned themselves into one of the biggest stories before the Nov. 4 NFL trade deadline. Not by making deals to improve their roster to try and salvage their season. No, New York, and first-year general manager Darren Mougey decided to take advantage of the trade market and supercharge their rebuild.
On Tuesday, they made not one, but two blockbuster deals that jettisoned their top two players on...
The 2025 NFL trade deadline has certainly lived up to the hype. Deals have been flying in all afternoon and there is still some time for more action before the 4PM ET deadline. The Jets have dominated the afternoon with their surprising fire sale, sending away both Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams to load up on picks for the future.
Not every trade has been that flashy, but every move serves its purpose. The Saints and Seahawks joined the conversation on Tuesday by agreeing to a trade that sends Rashid Shaheed to Seattle.

There are some interesting calls for fantasy football managers at running back, and the same goes for quarterbacks. But for those leagues still using kickers, here are the rankings for Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season.
One of the best weapons in the league, Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, won’t be available this week because of the bye. So who will step into the No. 1 spot?

According to Josina Anderson, the asking price for Jets LB Quincy Williams is believed to be a fourth-round pick.
However, she says that could be fluid in the final half an hour or so before the trade deadline.
The Jets reportedly want a third-round pick to trade RB Breece Hall and a second-round pick to trade DE Jermaine Johnson. They’ve already acquired three first-round picks and a second today in trades involving CB Sauce Gardner and DT Quinnen Williams.
Williams, 29, was the No. 98 overall pick by the Jaguars out of Murray State in 2019. He signed a four-year,...

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Commanders are signing WR Treylon Burks from the practice squad to the active roster.
Burks, 25, was a two-year starter at Arkansas and was first-team All-SEC in 2021 and twice named All-SEC second-team in 2019 and 2020. The Titans traded up and used the No. 18 overall pick on him in the 2022 draft.
Burks was entering the final year of a four-year, $14,369,584 contract that included $7,630,607 when he was let go after being placed on injured reserve this past training camp. The Commanders signed him to their practice squad soon after.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on Tuesday that Hall wanted to be traded.
Hall is in the final year of his four-year, $9 million contract and could be an upgrade for many teams, including the Patriots.

Wide receiver and defensive line are among areas the Bills could address before the trade deadline. With 3 p.m. CT fast approaching, Commanders receiver Deebo Samuel and pass rusher Von Miller are names to watch for Buffalo, according to Tim Graham of The Athletic.
The Commanders were expected to remain NFC contenders this year after advancing to the conference title game last season. With an eye on bettering their chances in 2025, they swung an offseason deal with the 49ers for Samuel. Samuel leads the Commanders in receptions (42) and yards (367, on just 8.7 per catch), and he has...
