The Tennessee Titans were defeated 30-24 in an exciting showing by the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday’s Week 12 game. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward stole the show, but he wasn’t the only Titans rookie to continue trending in the right direction. Safety Kevin Winston Jr. and cornerback Marcus Harris also continued to impress on defense.

Harris became the team’s starting nickel cornerback following the Roger McCreary trade. The sixth-round pick out of Cal has routinely impressed. Harris played 30 total snaps against the Seahawks and Pro Football Focus assigned him an elite defensive grade of 89.0 for his performance.

Cam Ward has had the toughest schedule of defenses for any number one overall pick in recent history. It doesn’t get any easier today, facing a Seattle Seahawks’ defense that ranks in the top 10 in total yards allowed, rushing yards allowed, and points per game allowed. The Tennessee Titans are also missing two of their best receivers with Calvin Ridley out for the year, and Elic Ayomanor missing this game with a hamstring injury. Good luck, rook.

Those of you who have been dying to see Xavier Resterpo on the field for the Tennessee Titans are going to get your wish tomorrow. Paul Kuharsky tweeted earlier that Restrepo will be active tomorrow in the game against the Seattle Seahawks. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was in Nashville today for the Tennessee Titans’ Steel Topping Out Ceremony. My understanding is that means they installed the final steel beam to hold the roof at the top of the new Nissan Stadium. The new stadium is set to open for the 2027 NFL season.

The Tennessee Titans defense has been better than advertised lately. They held the Houston Texans to 16 points in a Week 11 loss. They routinely made Justin Herbert uncomfortable and scored a pick-six return touchdown in a 27-20 Week 9 defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers.

A stale, ineffective offense has been the Titans’ bigger problem this season. That wasn’t necessarily the expectation heading into the 2025 campaign. Dennard Wilson has the defense playing lights-out. We analyzed three underrated defenders who are a big reason why:

The good news for the Titans is that rookie wide receiver Chimere Dike was a full participant. He missed the end of the game against the Houston Texans with a chest injury. The bad news is that fellow rookie Elic Ayomanor did not practice because of a hamstring injury. He is probably a long shot to play on Sunday.

The Tennessee Titans finished the game on Sunday with two healthy wide receivers. They signed James Proche II to the active roster yesterday, so they enter this week with three healthy wide receivers on the 53-man roster because Elic Ayomanor is dealing with a hamstring injury, and Chimere Dike has a chest contusion. The Tennessee Titans suffered several injuries to their wide receiver core in Sunday’s Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans. No. 1 wideout Calvin Ridley went down with a season-ending fibula injury. Chimere Dike, though initially cleared concussion protocol after fumbling (and recovering) a punt return, was ruled out with a chest contusion.

That left Cam Ward with a trio of Mason Kinsey, Van Jefferson, and Elic Ayomanor at receiver. Ayomanor was in/out of the game with recurring soreness. Kinsey was at least partially to blame for two missed opportunities as he misplayed explosive passing attempts from Ward.
