Breaking down Marcus Harris and Kevin Winston Jr. in Week 12

The Tennessee Titans were defeated 30-24 in an exciting showing by the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday’s Week 12 game. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward stole the show, but he wasn’t the only Titans rookie to continue trending in the right direction. Safety Kevin Winston Jr. and cornerback Marcus Harris also continued to impress on defense.

Harris became the team’s starting nickel cornerback following the Roger McCreary trade. The sixth-round pick out of Cal has routinely impressed. Harris played 30 total snaps against the Seahawks and Pro Football Focus assigned him an elite defensive grade of 89.0 for his performance.

Harris was...

5 observations from the Titans’ Week 12 loss to the Seahawks

5 observations from the Titans’ Week 12 loss to the Seahawks

The Tennessee Titans were defeated 30-24 by the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday’s Week 12 game at Nissan Stadium. The 1-10 Titans own the worst record in the NFL and still possess the inside track on the No. 1 overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. We’ve conjured up five observations following what was actually an entertaining defeat.

Cam Ward is developing in real time

Cam Ward was outstanding on the opening possession, a 16-play scoring drive. He ran for 18 yards via two scrambles. A beautiful pass to Chimere Dike was dropped, but that did not discourage the rookie...

Titans vs. Seahawks discussion: React to today’s game

Titans vs. Seahawks discussion: React to today’s game

Cam Ward has had the toughest schedule of defenses for any number one overall pick in recent history. It doesn’t get any easier today, facing a Seattle Seahawks’ defense that ranks in the top 10 in total yards allowed, rushing yards allowed, and points per game allowed. The Tennessee Titans are also missing two of their best receivers with Calvin Ridley out for the year, and Elic Ayomanor missing this game with a hamstring injury. Good luck, rook.

The Titans also face a tough test to try to stop Jaxson Smith-Njigba. JSN leads the NFL by more than 200 yards...

Xavier Restrepo will be active for Titans tomorrow

Xavier Restrepo will be active for Titans tomorrow

Those of you who have been dying to see Xavier Resterpo on the field for the Tennessee Titans are going to get your wish tomorrow. Paul Kuharsky tweeted earlier that Restrepo will be active tomorrow in the game against the Seattle Seahawks. Restrepo was very productive at Miami with Cam Ward throwing him the ball, but I wouldn’t count on that same level of production at the NFL level.

There is no doubt that Ward and Restrepo have chemistry. Last season, Restrepo had 69 catches for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns. He led the ACC in both yards and touchdowns,...

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell calls Nashville a Super Bowl-ready city

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was in Nashville today for the Tennessee Titans’ Steel Topping Out Ceremony. My understanding is that means they installed the final steel beam to hold the roof at the top of the new Nissan Stadium. The new stadium is set to open for the 2027 NFL season.

Goodell was asked if Nashville is ready to host a Super Bowl in the future, and he called Nashville a Super Bowl-ready city. There has been a lot of speculation that Nashville would get to host a Super Bowl in the new venue. This doesn’t confirm that we will...

A Head Coaching Profile: Chris Shula

A Head Coaching Profile: Chris Shula

Chris Shula is the current defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams and is considered one of the hottest head coaching candidates in the NFL right now. Obviously, the Titans would prefer an experienced candidate on the lines of Mike McCarthy, Robert Saleh, or even Brian Flores (all people who we will cover eventually). Still, though, this is going to be a candidate that is seriously looked into during the search. Although the Titans will probably end up choosing experience, they will 100% still look into a first timer that, if impressive enough, might get the job. So now there...

3 Titans defenders who have been so much better than advertised

3 Titans defenders who have been so much better than advertised

The Tennessee Titans defense has been better than advertised lately. They held the Houston Texans to 16 points in a Week 11 loss. They routinely made Justin Herbert uncomfortable and scored a pick-six return touchdown in a 27-20 Week 9 defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers.

A stale, ineffective offense has been the Titans’ bigger problem this season. That wasn’t necessarily the expectation heading into the 2025 campaign. Dennard Wilson has the defense playing lights-out. We analyzed three underrated defenders who are a big reason why:

Jihad Ward, EDGE

Jihad Ward ranks second on the Titans in pressures (24),...

Chimere Dike logs full practice for Titans

The Tennessee Titans were on the practice field today, starting their preparation for the Seattle Seahawks. The good news for the Titans is that rookie wide receiver Chimere Dike was a full participant. He missed the end of the game against the Houston Texans with a chest injury. The bad news is that fellow rookie Elic Ayomanor did not practice because of a hamstring injury. He is probably a long shot to play on Sunday.

Here is the full injury report for Wednesday:

Nothing else from the list is really all that surprising. Jeffery Simmons was probably just held out...

Titans could be really thin at wide receiver against the Seahawks

Titans could be really thin at wide receiver against the Seahawks

The Tennessee Titans finished the game on Sunday with two healthy wide receivers. They signed James Proche II to the active roster yesterday, so they enter this week with three healthy wide receivers on the 53-man roster because Elic Ayomanor is dealing with a hamstring injury, and Chimere Dike has a chest contusion. Paul Kuharksy tweeted this morning that he is hearing Dike has a better chance to play on Sunday than Ayomanor:

Things certainly aren’t getting any easier for rookie quarterback Cam Ward. The people who have been clamouring to see Xavier Restrepo get a chance should get their...

Titans drop hint that Xavier Restrepo could make Week 12 debut

Titans drop hint that Xavier Restrepo could make Week 12 debut

The Tennessee Titans suffered several injuries to their wide receiver core in Sunday’s Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans. No. 1 wideout Calvin Ridley went down with a season-ending fibula injury. Chimere Dike, though initially cleared concussion protocol after fumbling (and recovering) a punt return, was ruled out with a chest contusion.

That left Cam Ward with a trio of Mason Kinsey, Van Jefferson, and Elic Ayomanor at receiver. Ayomanor was in/out of the game with recurring soreness. Kinsey was at least partially to blame for two missed opportunities as he misplayed explosive passing attempts from Ward.

Interim head...
