Though it may feel obvious, Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebacker Patrick Queen is likely to play out the final year of his three-year contract he signed with the team ahead of the 2024 season. Whether or not Queen re-signs next offseason remains unknown, but beat writer Ray Fittipaldo doesn’t expect any movement this summer. “Been zero […]

When watching last year’s games, former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley noticed once glaring issue with Aaron Rodgers. And it was an obvious one, at the ripe age of 42, Rodgers just can’t extend plays like he used to.
“The thing that jumped off the page to me with Aaron Rodgers is just the declining physical ability to extend a play,” Haley said on SiriusXM’s The Blitz with Bruce Murray.
“How much of that was self-preservation or not? I don’t know. You think of the term ‘chuck and duck.’ I saw way too much of that last year.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers found a way to win the AFC North last year, beating the Baltimore Ravens in a winner-takes-all Week 18 game. A lot has changed since then. Neither team’s head coach from that decisive game will be on the sidelines in those respective cities this year. In fact, three of the four AFC […]

When the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Drew Allar, their quarterback room became a bit more complicated. And when Aaron Rodgers re-signed, it meant the Steelers would have to deal with those complications in the near future. Dave Dameshek thinks Will Howard is going to get stuck with the consequences of Pittsburgh now having such a crowded […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers began OTAs last week and unveiled a new-look offensive line. Per reports, Troy Fautanu moved from right tackle to left tackle, with Mason McCormick shifting from right guard to left guard. Zach Frazier remained at center with Spencer Anderson at right guard and Dylan Cook at right tackle. If that holds, Frazier […]

Steelers Now’s Alan Saunders and Ed Thompson were the only Pittsburgh and Steelers media to make the trip to Annapolis, Md. to see new Steelers RB/WR Eli Heidenreich walk up to and across the podium and become a 2nd Lt in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve while he plays in the NFL living out two of his dreams.

Coming into the NFL as a third-round pick and fresh off a dominant final season with the Iowa Hawkeyes, expectations were high for running back Kaleb Johnson. Landing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he seemed like a perfect fit in former offensive coordinator Arthur Smith’s zone-rushing attack. Johnson looked good early in training camp, but then […]

Aaron Rodgers is officially back in the fold as the Pittsburgh Steelers are in the midst of their voluntary OTA program in preparation for Mike McCarthy’s inaugural season in the Steel City. With that in mind, it’s time for my yearly ranking of the top players on the team entering the 2026 season. This is always a fun exercise that encourages healthy debate about the strongest parts of the roster—players on the rise, moving in the opposite direction, or just simply holding serve.
Without trying to bury the lede, the main takeaway that came to mind while constructing this list...
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been stuck in a cycle of mediocrity in recent years, but it could always be worse. Look no further than their AFC North-rival Cleveland Browns. The Browns have basically been rebuilding ever since they returned to the NFL. While they’ve had some successful seasons, for the most part, the Browns have […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers made addressing their lack of talent and depth at the wide receiver position a priority this offseason. That’s why they traded for WR Michael Pittman Jr. and drafted WR Germie Bernard. Part of the reason they are in this spot is because third-year wide receiver Roman Wilson hasn’t worked out so far. […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers will look drastically different this season, starting at the top with new head coach Mike McCarthy roaming the sidelines. With so many fresh faces, expectations for different players in Pittsburgh are difficult to pin down. But if the Steelers are going to make noise in the AFC, several players will need to elevate their games.
In May, our staff will put together our collective predictions for 2026 season awards, but here’s a way-too-early look at who could take home some of the team’s top honors by season’s end.
