Lake has been a fantastic young player since joining the Los Angeles Rams a couple seasons ago. After his upcoming third season he could be in line for an extension with the Rams. Or, perhaps L.A. will draft around him and plan to let him walk.

Why a return to playoff contention may be easier said than done for 49ers
Both the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers are favored to take the NFC West crown in 2025, depending which sportsbook or analysts that you pay attention to. In Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, they allowed David Montgomery to run the ball down the field, eventually ending with him in the end zone.
