Why Patriots Should Want To Face These Two Teams In Postseason

The Patriots find themselves in an excellent position to secure a playoff spot and should start considering the potential teams they might face in the postseason.

New England is in a solid position to take the AFC East title and clinch a first-round bye. However, if the Patriots can’t secure that bye, they’ll need to come out on top in three playoff games to make it to the Super Bowl.

There are several teams New England might hope to face in the postseason, as those matchups could be the best.

Patriots-Bills Injury Report: Several Veteran Starters Added

The New England Patriots might be without two key cogs in Sunday’s matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

Terrell Jennings and Harold Landry III missed practice on Thursday.

Jennings, the clubs de-facto third-string running back, has not practiced this week after suffering a concussion in the club’s Week 13 victory over the New York Giants. Landry was a limited participant on Wednesday.

Mitchell Trubisky was the only absence in Orchard Park, N.Y. Christian Benford, Joey Bosa and Terrel Bernard, all of whom have served as key cogs in the club’s defensive resurgence, were limited participants.

Patriots vs. Bills Thursday injury report: Harold Landry III sidelined

The New England Patriots ramped up work on the Buffalo Bills without a defensive captain.

Outside linebacker Harold Landry III did not participate in Thursday’s practice. The veteran starter, who leads the team in sacks, tackles for loss and quarterback hits, had been available for the previous session in a limited capacity while managing a knee injury.

Running back Terrell Jennings also remained sidelined for the active roster as the AFC East rematch nears.

Here’s the second injury report heading into Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium.

Patriots Injury Situation To Force Uncomfortable Decision

The New England Patriots received some positive injury updates this week, but they haven’t all been positive.

Jared Wilson (ankle), Khyris Tonga (chest) and Brenden Schooler (ankle) were full participants on Wednesday, putting them all in position to return to the lineup after missing the club’s Week 13 victory over the New York Giants.

Terrell Jennings, who was knocked out of that game with a concussion, missed the first two practices of the week and is expected to be sidelined for Sunday’s matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson, as a result, are the club’s only remaining...

Cam Newton Says He Felt Disrespected By Phillip Rivers’ Celebrated Return

Cam Newton is a footnote in the New England Patriots’ 65-year existence.

The former NFL MVP played 15 games at quarterback for New England in 2020, throwing eight touchdowns and 10 interceptions for the Patriots.

He led the team to a 7-9 record in what would be his final full season as a starting quarterback in the NFL.

Although he has not yet officially retired, Newton has made a name for himself as a member of ESPN’s “First Take” panel since his last game action for the Carolina Panthers in 2021.

At the age of 36 years old, Newton took...

How Stefon Diggs Could Get $500,000 Richer Sunday Vs. Bills

Stefon Diggs signed his three-year, $63 million contract with the New England Patriots in March. Now 14 weeks into the season, the 32-year-old receiver leads the team in both yards and receptions.

Diggs has caught 64 of his 79 targets for a total of 705 yards and three touchdowns.

Built into the team-friendly first year of his three-year deal are a few season-long incentives. Diggs could hit his first benchmark, a $500,000 bonus that comes at 70 receptions, on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

Six receptions should be no sweat for the two-time All-Pro, who exploded with a 10 catch,...

Stefon Diggs Reveals What Makes Patriots’ Wide Receiver Room So Great

By now, it’s become quite clear that the New England Patriots are having one of the most exciting seasons across the NFL in 2025. There are several big reasons this team has suddenly found success, and one of them is the presence of veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

The Patriots took a bit of a risk in free agency over the offseason by signing Diggs to a three-year, $69 million contract after he suffered a torn ACL in 2024. But Diggs has been phenomenal in his first year with New England, as he’s caught 64 passes for 705 yards and...

Drake Maye Issues Challenge To TreVeyon Henderson After Latest Award

A lot has gone right for the New England Patriots in the 2025 campaign. The play of Drake Maye under center is certainly high up on that list, but over the past few weeks, it’s been hard to ignore the play of rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson.

With Rhamondre Stevenson missing time due to a toe injury, that forced Henderson to take on more responsibility in the month of November. In the team’s four games during the month, Henderson racked up 330 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, while also catching 13 passes for 81 yards and another score....

Cardi B Hilariously Reveals Her Patriots Fandom Amid Stefon Diggs Relationship

In his first season with the New England Patriots, things have gone quite well for Stefon Diggs. On the field, he’s been Drake Maye’s top target in the passing game, and off the field, he’s found himself in a highly publicized relationship with popular hip-hop artist Cardi B.

Through 13 games, Diggs has caught 64 passes for 705 yards and three touchdowns, helping the Pats race out to an 11-2 record. Along the way, Cardi B has been vocal in her support of Diggs, and the couple recently welcomed their first child together back in November.

How Drake Maye’s MVP Candidacy Could ‘Essentially End’ Week 15 Vs. Bills

The New England Patriots’ possible first playoff berth in four seasons and their potential first AFC East title in six years apparently aren’t the only things on the line during the team’s Week 15 clash with the Buffalo Bills.

NFL senior writer Vic Tafur of The Athletic opined Thursday that if New England were to lose to Josh Allen and company on Sunday, quarterback Drake Maye’s MVP candidacy would “essentially end.”

“A win by Allen’s Bills on Sunday would essentially end Patriots quarterback Drake Maye’s MVP chances (Matthew Stafford is likely going to win anyway),” Tafur said.

Drake Maye Throws Support Behind Mike Vrabel For Major Award

In recent weeks, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has emerged as one of the NFL’s top MVP candidates. He isn’t the only person in town making a push for an end-of-the-season award, though.

Through 13 games this season, Maye has thrown for 3,412 yards and 23 touchdowns, helping New England coast to an 11-2 record. And while Maye has to go out and deliver the goods under center, he isn’t the only person responsible for the team’s success.

In his first year as the team’s head coach, Mike Vrabel has played a major role in the Pats’ stunning turnaround...
