Which player is the one Dallas doesn’t draft in the 4th round?

Last week, I mocked the first three rounds of next week’s NFL Draft, as did Mark Heaney.

I stopped after three rounds for two reasons. The first being, for the second-straight year, Dallas doesn’t have a fourth rounder due to a poor trade.

The second being that, after three rounds, the reaching begins in earnest.

Trying to figure out the mindset of Jerry Jones going into a draft is exhausting enough.

Trying to figure out what 32 NFL general managers are going to do over the course of four rounds on the draft’s final day? That’ll drive you to drink....

Latest draft rumor all but crushes Cowboys’ Ashton Jeanty dream- Jerry Trotta, The Landry Hat

Don’t get your hopes up if you’re wanting the Heisman contender at 12.

Cowboys’ Ashton Jeanty dream is fading as 2025 NFL Draft approaches

ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller is hearing that the Bears could take Jeanty at No. 10 if he slides past the Raiders at No.6.

“The Bears love Ashton Jeanty, according to scouts around the league who’ve observed the team’s activity this offseason,” Miller writes. “So the Boise State running back...

Cowboys foolishly gambling with 4th round pick trades

Cowboys foolishly gambling with 4th round pick trades

When the 2025 NFL Draft gets underway in Green Bay next week, the Dallas Cowboys will be without a fourth-round pick for the second straight year. And they have no one else to blame but themselves for it.

Last year’s fourth-round pick had been traded to the San Francisco 49ers back before the 2023 season began for quarterback Trey Lance.

At the time, Lance had just been demoted to third-string backup, two years after being the third overall pick that the 49ers had traded three first-round picks for.

Perhaps Jerry Jones was looking to duplicate some old Jimmy Johnson energy...

What the Cowboys looked like last time someone won the career grand slam before Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy just achieved the career grand slam... here is what the Dallas Cowboys looked like last time someone did.

Rory McIlroy is at long last a Masters Champion. It took forever, but it finally happened.

Some are saying that if Rory can win a green jacket that the Dallas Cowboys can even win the Super Bowl. Whether or not that’s true certainly remains to be seen.

Maybe you have no idea what I am talking about. If you do not follow golf I imagine that you are at least somewhat familiar with The Masters, the most prestigious tournament that...

Cowboys draft poll: First-round picks, Matthew Golden, and the Dirty Dozen

Cowboys draft poll: First-round picks, Matthew Golden, and the Dirty Dozen

Asking for your take on these Cowboys’ draft scenarios

This week, we present five newly crafted draft-related questions, all obviously focused on the Dallas Cowboys. Cast your vote on each and leave your opinions in the comment section.

Ignoring BPA, what’s the biggest position of need to address in the first round?

Many people believe wide receiver is the obvious answer here. The team needs a WR2 and this year’s wide receiver class isn’t the deepest we’re normally accustomed to. Cornerback is also a big need and has very little depth in this year’s draft class. Some will say...

How Iowa State stars make a nice backup plan if Cowboys miss out on a Day 1 receiver

How Iowa State stars make a nice backup plan if Cowboys miss out on a Day 1 receiver

If the Cowboys don’t land a wide receiver in the first round, they might find their answer one of these two midwest pass catchers.

The Dallas Cowboys need to come out of the 2025 NFL Draft with a new wide receiver to pair alongside CeeDee Lamb. Failure to do so will mean another season of aggravation as we’ll spend way too much time complaining about the disappointment of Jalen Tolbert or how silly the front office was for giving up a draft pick to trade for Jonathan Mingo. Nobody wants that.

While all eyes are on the coveted 12th overall...

Defensive Tackle Debate: Mazi Smith or a Rookie Draft Pick?

Defensive Tackle Debate: Mazi Smith or a Rookie Draft Pick?

This time two years ago, then-Michigan Wolverine Mazi Smith was gearing up for the NFL Draft as one of the top defensive tackles available. Two years later, the Cowboys may draft a rookie to compete with, or replace Smith.

That’s simply the business of the NFL. Dallas’ 2023 first-rounder is heading into the third year of his contract, and he hasn’t shown what they hoped he would.

Despite an improvement in his sophomore campaign last year, his production still lagged. Smith started in all 17 games in 2024, compared to just three in 2023, but only made one more tackle...

5 free agents the Cowboys could add before the draft

There are still free agents who the Cowboys could look to add before the NFL Draft.

Things have been quiet on the Cowboys front the last few weeks. Despite talks of exchanged contractual figures between the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons, nothing materialized into a contract, and it appears that both sides are focusing on the next stage of the offseason.

The Cowboys’ front office is full steam ahead toward the NFL draft. Commendably, the Cowboys have been busier in the offseason than in past years, as you can never have enough help. However, as usual, the Cowboys didn’t break...

3-Round Cowboys Mock Draft: Ability Over Availability?

3-Round Cowboys Mock Draft: Ability Over Availability?

The 2025 NFL Draft is now just 11 days away, and it will be a big one in Dallas. There is a new head coach and staff at the helm, and the roster needs some serious building; what better way to analyze that than with a 3-round Cowboys mock draft?

With all due respect to Dallas, they aren’t the most surprising team when it comes to their final draft classes.

Their last three first-round picks had become the clear consensus in the days leading up to the draft, with Tyler Smith, Mazi Smith, and Tyler Guyton all eventually getting the...

First round of NFL draft may not feature much movement, Cowboys might stick at 12

There may not be a lot of opportunities for the Dallas Cowboys to trade back in the first round.

Odds are you have a favorite option for the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the NFL draft. You have done your homework and feel confident beginning a certain path at number 12 overall.

You have probably also mapped out other paths and like a few that involve not even making a selection at 12 overall. Trading back is always a popular idea when you are picking around this range as accruing more draft picks is never a bad idea....

Cowboys sign oft-injured OL from retired list; it’s not as bad as it sounds

The Dallas Cowboys have bolstered their offensive line by signing veteran OG Saahdiq Charles out of retirement to a one-year contract.

This move aims to enhance the team’s depth and performance in the trenches as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season.

Fans will see the fact that he was retired and lose their minds, but Charles is only 26 years old, and retired during training camp before the 2024 season due to personal reasons.

He has plenty left in the tank, and the circumstances aren’t as bad as they sound.

Charles’ Story

Born on July 26, 1999, in...
