In a surprising development that has created buzz across the NFL landscape, Miami Dolphins star CB Jalen Ramsey is reportedly available for trade.
While no deal has been made yet, several teams are expected to be in the mix, and one name keeps resurfacing: the Dallas Cowboys.
With a need to bolster their secondary and a long-standing interest in Ramsey dating back to the 2016 NFL Draft, the Cowboys could finally have an opportunity to bring one of the league’s elite defensive backs to Dallas.
Jerry Jones should be on the phone with the Miami Dolphins right now.
What Could...
The Cowboys absolutely have to hit on their second-round pick this year.
In our Monday discussion prompt here at BTB we discussed how it is very unlikely that the Dallas Cowboys will do something in the first round that will upset us. The second round, on the other hand, is an entirely different story.
Consider the last 10 players who the Cowboys have taken in the second round:
What do you think would have to happen for the Cowboys to find a trade-back partner in the first round?
The Dallas Cowboys have a very important decision to make when they are on the clock in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. It’s unclear in which direction they go as there are a few different things they could do that would help their team. One of those things is trading back.
Trading back would be helpful in giving them more draft capital to address more areas on the roster rather than putting all the pressure on those...
All right, folks, here’s a 2025 Cowboys seven-round mock draft that should make some of you happy.
There are so many mock drafts out there, and if you combine them all, you may get a few picks correct, but let’s get crazy.
Maybe old Jerry Jones has a little Wildcattin’ Jerry left somewhere between all the Johnny Walker Blue and dollar bills.
If he does, this is his kind of draft.
A trade-up of this magnitude would need to be for a once-in-a-lifetime prospect, and one player fits that description.
Let’s get into it.
Round 1 Pick 12 (Trade) -----------------------...
After taking the first couple of hours off of the Saturday session of the draft, the Dallas Cowboys will get back to work in the fifth round.
Dallas will have two draft picks in this round to work with. At one point, they had four picks in the fifth round.
They shipped off one to Buffalo for a back-up cornerback who might develop into a quality starter.
The other went to New England to upgrade the Cowboys’ backup quarterback situation.
Both trades filled needs with solid players, so Dallas has already had a successful round before the draft even begins....
All the Dallas Cowboys news that’s fit to print.
Micah Parsons is doing his part early to help the Cowboys establish a new team culture under HC Brian Schottenheimer and DC Matt Eberflus.
The rubber officially meets the road for the first time during the Brian Schottenheimer era with the start of voluntary OTAs on Monday, April 14 at The Star in Frisco; and a list of players have already begun filing in — including Micah Parsons.
It’s...
Could Trevon Diggs miss the start of 2025?
While the Dallas Cowboys have kept a relatively optimistic tone publicly regarding Trevon Diggs’ injury, sources close to the situation suggest the reality might be more complicated. Diggs, who suffered a torn ACL two seasons ago, is currently rehabbing for a cartilage surgery the cut short his 2024 season. There are signs that his recovery is not progressing as quickly as hoped.
Some within the organization fear that the injury could linger well into the 2025 season, raising concerns not just about his availability for training camp but also about his readiness...
'The Beast' could help shine light on the Cowboys potential draft targets.
Christmas came early for many of us when Dane Brugler of The Athletic released his 2025 NFL Draft guide, "The Beast". This source of information is arguably the most thorough and in-depth draft guide available and is an essential tool for the biggest event of the offseason, which is now just a little over a week away (April 24-26).
How could it apply to the Dallas Cowboys? While Dallas' draft rankings may vary from "The Beast" to some degree, it's safe to assume they'll both be pretty similar....
The Cowboys need to add a wide receiver talent in this draft, but how they go about it is important.
The Dallas Cowboys must come out of the 2025 NFL draft with a good wide receiver. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to convince you that the team spun its wheels when trying to find a quality complementary receiver for CeeDee Lamb. In recent years, the team has used the draft, free agency, and even trades to find the missing piece, but each time, they have come up short.
If you looked back over the last several years, you might...
Cowboys start voluntary workouts, Micah Parsons is there
The Dallas Cowboys window for voluntary workouts is now open. Given they have a new head coach in Brian Schottenheimer, the team can get a head start compared to some other franchises around the league.
The biggest question heading into Monday was whether or not All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons would be in attendance given on-going contract negotiations. Turns out Parsons is a man of his word.
For the last few seasons, Parsons has chosen to skip voluntary workouts in favor of his personal training routine. There’s nothing wrong with that given...
Five bold predictions for the Dallas Cowboys in 2025, for a team that did not live up to its potential last season.
Fans know all too well that last season was a titanic letdown. A significant injury to Dak Prescott demolished expectations of a deep playoff run.
The run game was terrible, the offensive line was a roller coaster, the defense was awful, and whatever else could go wrong was done.
The coaching staff was revamped, the star quarterback is coming back, the defense is getting a major player back, and the offensive line should have some continuity this season....
